Things are heating up for SBS’s upcoming drama Pinocchio as all of its main leads are finally secured. Lee Jong Suk accepted the male lead role which opens the doors for a reunion with the team behind his last year’s success “I Hear Your Voice”.

Park Shin Hye was already confirmed as the female lead with the “Pinocchio” curse. The casting for this drama didn’t contain any mystery as all of the producers’ first choices confirmed appearing in the drama. Alongside our two main leads, Lee Yu Bi and Kim Young Kwang decided to take the second leads roles of devoted young journalists.

The plot revolves around a group of journalists who stake their lives to find the truth. It’s a pretty basic plot but with spices of K-dramas’ romance, I think it will be appealing to many people out there. I know that not so many people are fond of either Park Shin Hye, Lee Jong Suk, Kim Young Kwang or all of them combined but you’ve got to admit that they’re doing pretty well in the Korean entertainment industry these last years. Therefore, we’re bound to expect a huge buzz around this drama when it comes out. Let’s all hope it won’t be another overrated piece.

Pinocchio is scheduled to air starting November on SBS.
