It’s been announced that the two season long Japanese drama - Mozu - will have a film sequel. The crime suspense drama was co-produced by TBS and WOWOW. MOZU Season 1 - Mozu no Sakebu Yoru aired in the spring season of 2014 while MOZU Season 2 - Maboroshi no Tsubasa aired in the following summer season. Mozu even won an 'Excellence Award' in this year’s 'Tokyo Drama Awards'.

The drama was adapted from the famed, six-volume crime novel series, written by Osaka Go. The first and second season were based on the second and third volumes of the novel while the film will be adapted from the fourth volume.

Nishijima HidetoshiKagawa Teruyuki and Maki Yoko will reprise their main roles. Nishijima stated that this film aims to be more successful than its prequels. He also said that the action scenes will be more challenging, but all the staff members are doing their best to meet the audiences' expectations.

MOZU - Kudakareta Kagi (aka MOZU - The Shattered Key) is scheduled to hit Japanese theaters on 2015. Is it on your dramalist?
