[edit]Synopsis

Toda and Miura play two teachers, Natsumi Uemura and Shuji Kashiwagi, at the same high school who are set to get married in half a year. However, the night before the school year's opening ceremony, Shuji becomes involved with the young Hikari Saeki (played by Takei), without realizing that she will be a student in his class starting the next day. As Shuji struggles to help Hikari deal with the mental complex she is suffering from, he is also torn inside by his betrayal of Natsumi. Meanwhile, Hikari attempts to get closer to Natsumi, driven by feelings of jealousy and a desire to destroy the couple's relationship. --Tokyograph

This drama is one of my personal favorites because despite the heavy drama on the plot itself, it managed to deliver the message to the viewers in a light and not so draggy way. It was actually kind of realistic compared to most dramas. I personally commend on how the characters are developed like real persons and not that in a fictional drama. Emotions were depicted as how a real person would feel it, definitely not exaggerated. It showed life's uncertainties and the reality that people, most of the time, don't know what to do when faced with adversities. It was also straight to the point and didn't include unnecessary drama and it has subtlety. I honestly admire all its aspects: the cast, story line, soundtrack read more

Overall this drama was decent. It was very dramatic, but in a way that wasn't very predictable. In the end, I found that the character's decisions were very unexpected despite how realistic their decisions were. Usually in dramas like this, there is some unexpected twist that is completely unrealistic, but the realism in this drama was very well done. The characters in this drama all have a major flaw, or more than one, but this is developed to show how they improve on their flaw later on in life. If you like slice of life dramas with no real substance then I would recommend this as a mere entertainment rather than something to obsess over.

  • Both explore the challenges faced by men who are accused of having inappropriate contact with a school-age female. "I Just Didn't Do It" concentrates on the legal process, whereas "Taisetsu na Koto" focuses on the social ramifications.

It's a fine drama. The main story is that; what would happen if teachers did something unethical? What would be the consequences? It's not a heart warming, touching drama, it would not make you cry or anything. I agree with what JCKdorama said up there. All of it. The use of P!nk's songs as soundtracks didn't fit the scene that much. I hate Saeki Hikari, she is so pathetic. No, she made herself looked so pathetic because of her "defect". It would be much better if they made her a psycho who loves Shuji unconditionally. Ahha. I guess the only reason I finished watching this drama is the combination of Toda Erika + Miura Haruma. A rare combination indeed. The only quote you would love from this drama is, "If a couple has nothing but love, when the love fades, nothing will be left."

This is so depressing, yet in a good way. I've watched 5 episodes so far, and I keep pausing it because I feel so bad for everyone. >< Great acting though.
