[edit]Synopsis

Takei plays Nao Yoshino, a girl who fails the entrance exams of her target high school. She winds up enrolling in a technical high school called Kenritsu Asuka Kougyou Koukou, also known by the nickname "Asukou." I'm a sucker for an underdog. The story focuses half on her fitting in and half on her love life.

The character building was wonderful as she realizes that she wants to be true to herself and be a female laborer. Her being at a nearly all male school adds the laughs, but it's more heartwarming than anything else. While this hit a sweet spot with me because I miss the days that I spent in machine shops building robots, there wasn't much technical info to absorb.

The plot from Asuko March reminded me of a harem manga or anime. A girl (Takei Emi) who enters an all-boys technical high school. Even though there was the designated male lead and the secondary male character, I felt like Takei could have been paired up with any guy and it would have made some sort of sense.

In terms of plot, the drama is quite generic and predictable. Some unexpected twists and turns would have been appreciated.

Takei Emi, who plays the main character, is quite pretty. But her acting seems to be a bit lacking but I will forgive her since she is just a newbie at acting.

The male lead wasn't my cup of tea. Yes, he was charming and handsome but I

  • They both have the punk/yanki type boys with pipes. The main characters are both females. Same idea of one female among a full class of males. The female tries to aid the males. The males constantly try to show their manliness and often refuse help.

Much more serious than I thought it would be before watching, but I liked it.

I'll rewatch it again at some point to see more of Kaku Kento. He was great.

This represents majority of my reasons for watching asian dramas! "wisdom in jokes" kinda stuff and plenty of eye-candy in such unreal world. But still, I thought Nao should've ended up with Tamaki. I found Aruto's behaviour annoying...too many times he was just using his good looks in order to win Nao's heart so that didn't convince me about a serious love. Even though it was kinda obvious it would end this way..I was a little bit disappointed. But apart from that, one of my favourite dramas!! Btw, Nao's grandpa is AWESOME!

At first i fell in love well mostly with Tori This drama was boring at times and the lead girl had no personality and the ending was lack luster though i didn't like this drama ill only thank it for showing tori lol

this was totally cute to watch. i really like how it shed light on the topic for those with working families, and a girl's acceptance of this different lifestyle.
