[edit]Synopsis

Two transfer students, Atsuko Maeda and Onizuka Daruma came at the all-girls school Majisuka Gakuen. In this school violence and fighting are common among the Yankee students. Noisy and trouble maker Daruma made a fuss as soon as she entered the school, win in her first fight but then was beaten easily by another gang shortly after. In contrary to Daruma's bold-but-powerless attitude, Maeda who is truthfully a strong girl despite of her silent nature found Daruma is beaten by Team Hormon before her. The word "Majisuka?" (means are you serious?) instantly awaken her true nature and made her won the battle against Daruma's attackers easily, thus made a big fuss at the school and the news even reached the strongest fighting group, Rappapa. Afterwards, Daruma acknowledged Maeda as her boss and as a result the friendship between the two girls began to grow along with their fights with fellow students at their school. --Dramawiki

Majisuka is about a former yankee who decided to no longer fight but ends up doing it anyways. The main character, Atsuko, is similar to Yankumi from Gokusen and Hana from Yankee-kun to Megane-chan in that they all wear glasses when they decided to "change" the person that they were. Atsuko, unlike Yankumi and Hana, is a silent character. Because of something that happened in the past, she pushes the people close to her away. This part of Atsuko's character annoys me. The actors did a pretty good job acting out their characters but some of the minor characters had poor acting. My favorite character is Daruma; Daruma is hilarious and very sweet (although she acts tough). Unfortunately, most of the characters in this drama are read more

Who doesnt love a group of bad a** girls taking over? Majisuka is all about a famed yankee (Maeda) resisting the urge to fight because of her feelings for one of her friends who died in a fight. When Maeda goes to her new school (chuck full of yankees) she is forced to proved that she is "serious" and time again. I loved all the girls from AKB 48 and how they interacted with each other. The acting was poor and the story line was weak and predictable but it was fun. A group of girls known for being pretty, beating eath other sensless for ridiculous reasons is priceless. I didnt take this drama serious, because if you do you wont have fun with it.

  • Both dramas have these "hooligans" in the school. In Gokusen it's only one class while in Majisuka Gakuen it's the whole school. In Gokusen they're good hearted but misunderstood while in Majisuka Gakuen they just fight for fun to see who's the top of the school.

  • A lot of sensless fighting, the people who fight Adachi all want to folow her like Maeda. They both seem to be comedies to me but Majisuka Gakuen seems more like a parody, but the humor is more obvious in Yankee-Kun.
