Aragaki plays Akane, who is determined to protect the longevity of the Tendo dojo. However, one day her father Soun suddenly declares that the dojo's successor must be male. This rules out Akane's intended partner Ranma, who suffers from a curse that turns him into a girl whenever he is splashed with cold water. In order to remove the curse and inherit the dojo, Ranma seeks out a secret hot spring, but he encounters a mysterious enemy. --Tokyograph

  • The same mangaka's work. If you liked the humor and romance in ranma, you'd like it in this drama too. The storyline is also based in fighting (but not material arts). And it's a romantic story too.

    Im a big Ranma fan ,so by not having Ryoga i was truly disappointed by the way this story flowed ,and the casting of some of these actors. The male version of Ranma was very unlikeable than the anime ,and manga version of him however his female counter part is the saving grace of this movie she seemed to understand the character she was playing. I like Aragaki Yui in Zenkai Girl ,but she seemed missed cast as Akane i think someone like Naka Riisa ,or Shiori Kutsuna would of worked. Overall this movie isn't for Ranma fans this is for people who want to know want Ranma 1/2 is.

    I am a fan of the manga and anime. Honestly, it was pretty funny. But not that good. They could've done better I think. The characters were good. It was amusing to watch but it seemed more like a parody with the drag queen thing. I dont think that should've been the main plot but a sub plot rather.
