Robot maker, Kronos Heaven, finally develops "Night Tenjo", the perfect male humanoid programmed to be devoted and completely loyal to his lover. The company chooses temp worker Izawa Riko to take part in a 5-day free trial. At first, Riko only sees Night as a household appliance. But when she finds out how deep Night's devotion to herself is, Riko finds herself falling in love with him. Joining the love triangle is Asamoto Soshi, a distinguished young executive at her company who has feelings for her. --Fuji TV

This was the drama that did it for me. I got hooked on j-dramas and k-dramas, but this one was the first one I was really obsessed with. Even now I get all teary when I hear "Okaeri".
It's a great story to watch, but mind you, future viewers, it's not just a silly sexy-robot-boyfriend-like-comedy. It gets pretty sad towards the end so do prepare a few boxes of tissues!
All in all, the story was great, acting great as well (although I'm not the biggest fan of Aibu Saki...), music is good as well! I can't rewatch it because I know where it's going and I'd rather be surprised by a new drama, I guess. It's a great story anyway, I highly recommend it!

I never expected I'd like this drama so much, I mean love with a robot seemed weird, but as soon as I watched the first 2 episodes, I really understood the angle this drama explored and I fell in love with it!
I was glued to my pc and watched the bloody thing in a day and a half , it was that captivating for me lol.
What I enjoyed was the great acting, I found most roles were distributed quite well, especially the leads. The multitude of funny moments were stellar, as well as the ' awww, so cute!' moments, because it is more than a robot discovering its human feelings, it's about a human discovering it's humanity and true self with the help of a robot, and that made it such a captivating story.
The ending was perfect, although I wept like a baby, even more than I did after watching 49 days, I think, I was just sucked into the story really well, and although it was a sad ending, it was well suited and perfect.
A word of advice : DO NOT WATCH THE SPECIAL !!!!!!!! It was a huge disappointment to me, it ruins the whole story and it has a very weak script. read more

i dropped watching this drama after 2 episode and I don't understand why this drama is also adapted to Korean/taiwanese versions. not my cup of tea.

Oh, hell. I just finished watching this drama and I'm seriously surrounded by handkerchiefs. May sound like a crybaby, but the ending made me cry a lot. I can't tell you how I would wish for a happy ending for Night and it broke my heart to see him "die". Well, I stop right here, this emotional outburst may have something to do with the late hour right now.

  I couldn't stop crying ..I truly love the drama but once it hit the ending I was crying a river ...I also wished for a happy ending so seeing him die made me cry...

This is my first Japanese drama and I really enjoyed it. It was balanced between the humor and the sad moments. Highly recommend if you want something light and funny, without a lot of time commitment.

Zettai Kareshi is also a comedy, but the all story is very touching. Great theme song by Ayaka. I realy loved this drama!
