Kamiya Naoki is a young player from a professional basketball team. But due to his relatively smaller size and his tendency to crack under pressure, he is unable to show his true skills on the court. Meanwhile, Shirakawa Riko is a cheerful, strong-spirited music college graduate aiming to become a professional violinist. One day, Riko finds Naoki's lost cell phone on a bus, and their meeting begins a friendship that eventually turns into love. However, Naoki was already considering marriage with his current girlfriend. And it doesn't help matters that Naoki's coach has fallen in love at first sight with Riko! --Tokyograph

    Bittersweet love story between a star basketball player and a struggling violinist who met by chance and the wheel of destiny smiled upon them - however there are trials along the way. Yamapi and Keiko are great actors and made this drama truly memorable and outstanding. The entire cast - the players, the roommates, the rivals are exceptional. Definitely one of the best Japanese Tv drama ever.

    I totally remember this drama it was one of the greatest jdramas that i've ever watched, it was fun seing it and i completed it in 2 days and that means that i totally liked it, there were Yamashita Tomohisa and Kitagawa Keiko as leads and i defenetly love those 2. Mixing sport with romance, friendship and sacrifice was so cool even though we didn't see a lot of basketball during the drama but that was okay bcz the story was enough to keep you wanna watch more, the music was nice i remember it until now! Buzzer Beat is a drama that left a good memory and it dosen't matter if you're a sport fan or not, give it a shot and you'il like it!

  • Both of them are related to basketball, both have romance and they are both worth watching. Even tough i enjoyed Bull fighting more, Buzzer Beat was really good too ^___^

    I really loved this. Actually I was hesitating if I should watch it or not because I'm not a huge sports-drama fan, but the way they combined it with romance was really cute.
    I don't think it ever dragged and the characters were incredibly lovable. It had some unrealistic scenes, though, but whatever. :P

    Really loving this so far. The only other Yamapi show I've seen is Nobuta wa Produce, and oh how he has changed in those 4 years! He is practically unrecognizable!

    But why does his jersey say Naoki instead of Kamiya???

    i think this is live action for anime buzzer beater so i bought dvds of this drama last May'11 but when i watch 1st episode its not same with anime then i hold to watch coz im disappointed its not live action for anime buzzer beater. today i read review for this drama, everyone love this drama.
