As a fan of the manga I think this live action is perfect, really! they captured amazingly the essence of the manga, I have seen that people didn't like that when koyuki was singing and his voice was muted but that's one of the things I loved, his voice while singing was something you couldn't just imagined, what they did was great, when I saw the anime I got disappointed when I heard koyuki singing because it wasn't by far the voice I imagined.
I highly recommend this live action if you have readed the manga, it really worth it, the cast is great also the music! I have to point some details such as hiro's accent and that beck (the dog) isn't like in the

This is a movie you SHOULD watch if you love music..(esp.rock)

I should have given this a perfect 10..but I can't because (SPOILER ALERT!)

I didn't heard EVEN in the ending, sato takeru (as Koyuki)'s voice..!

Even though they made it so artistic, cool and music-filled..it cannot erased the fact that it is much better to make it dubbed..rather than not hearing any voice from sato's mouth at all even though (with full emotions) his lips are singing mutedly (and it annoys me how the audience was starstruck by his voice.. although you cant actually hear it)

Well, that's the only problem I guess, if you overlook it, you can still enjoy the whole show without being bored. :)

  • They are both about bands, and the bands struggle to stay true to the music, and not the industry.

I'm rating it 9/10. I think it's really good, it's just sad that you can't hear Koyuki's voice when singing.

Loved the casting, I think they were perfect for the roles. One of the biggest reasons I dropped it (not really a spoiler, but a warning): You never hear Koyuki's amazing voice! They just muted it! :<
