Curled up in an empty aquarium, his fingers trace the glass where a blue glow is reflected; he thinks silently, "How can I kill him?" So is Shinichi Kushimori's (Ninomiya Kazunari) biggest worry as his drunken, abusive stepfather Sone moves in on his life and that of his sister and mother. With Sone freeloading off of them there has been only fear, but Shinichi has a plan to protect his family and he's willing to do almost anything.

    The Blue Flame, aka The Blue Light is a movie starring Arashi's Ninomiya Kazunari in the main role as the young boy named Shuichi Kushimori who himself has taken on the task of protecting his family against his abusive stepfather.. Shuichi Kushimori goes through a lots of lifequestioning trials withinn this movie. I'll be writing a spoilerless review.

    I found this movie to be alright. Maybe part of it was me being really tired while watching it, but I didn't get too into it. I thought the story itself wasn't bad, Kushimori's abusive stepfather comes back to live with his family and upsets the atmosphere, so he decides to find a way to get rid of him. The problem I had with the movie was how fast the events seemed took place. It says this movie is supposed to be a romance movie as well, but it's very little. The movie deals more with crime than anything else.



    The acting was pretty good, though. Not the best but it wasn't bad. This was the first movie I've watched with Ninomiya
