The Proposal is the Korean re-make of 2007 Japanese drama titled Operation Love (Proposal Daisakusen) from 2007. In the Korean version, Yoo Seung Ho will play the leading man Kang Baek Ho. The story opens with Kang Baek Ho attends his childhood friend wedding. Right there in the wedding ceremony, Baek Ho regrets that he didn’t confess his love to the bride. As he accidentally has a chance to travel back to the past to the all moments he has with the bride, he then re-creates that moments and tries to win the bride’s heart.

This drama was a fun and frustrating ride. It's the story of Kang Baek Ho who attends his best friends wedding and truly regrets never confession to her. He gets the opportunity to go back in time and to do what he was never able to do in the 20 years they knew each other. By the length of the number of episodes in this drama, you can figure out that this was not as easy as one would think. Therefore, this drama can be quite frustrating, especially if you had to wait an entire week to find out what happens next. However, due to these cliffhangers, the writers really knew how to get the audience's attention and make them come back for more. The drama has many themes running: love, regret, friendship, honesty, fighting for your goals, etc. It has both funny moments as well as heartbreaking moments.

In terms of acting, I think it was well done on the part of the entire cast. The music was also quite pleasant. Overall, I enjoyed the drama despite the torture. Though, this might not be a drama for everyone, it can definitely suit the romantics out there. read more

Finally, I managed to end this drama. In fact, I put this drama on hold for quiet some time when I reached eps 12. But then, I managed to continue watching this till the last episode. Can't believe I was doing those, actually. I remembered how excited I was when I first read about this drama, even before it started to aired. But fortunately I ended up really satisfied with the last episode :)

Story: Different from what others said about how boring the early episodes was, IMO the early episodes are great! I waited every week for new episodes. I want to see more about Yi Seul & Baek Ho.. I really adore how they loved each other, how they cared about each other.. It was.. really sweet (I'm typically a fan to sweet couple like them..) I really enjoyed every episodes.. But when I reached later episodes, I found the story becomes, a bit dragged, and BH-YS's relationship becomes more bitter, especially on around episodes 11-12. And it's true what people said that episodes 11-12 is frustrating, and episodes 14-15 was the turnover. Finnaly after I passed episodes 12, I once again, found myself enjoyed waiting for the next episodes, and am really satisfied with the ending! Such a happy ending :) The side story also add addiction to this drama (I especially adore Tae Nam and Chae Ri's story)

Acting/Casts: Such an outstanding chemistry between Yoo Seung Ho & Park Eun Bin.. They've been together in some project, and it makes them comfortable with each other. Yoo Seung Ho himself has a strong acting base from his dramas before. Other casts also did a perfect job (even the supporting roles really did a great job!) That's why I give 10 for this section! They are really outstanding!

Music: Honestly, for me, some of them are great to build the mood (especially for crying scenes), but some of them were just, average. Outside the drama, some of the soundtracks are on my playlist :)

Rewatch Value: I usually don't rewatch the dramas I've watched before.. But I'm sure that some of you would like to watch this again in some time :D

This maybe not the best drama I've ever watched.. Some people found this frustrating and I was one of them. But if you want to watch a sweet romance, then you come to the right place :) read more

I just loved everything in this drama, especially 2 last episodes.. So sad T____T It was slow in the beginning but later... just awesome. It's one of my favourite kdramas ^^

sometimes boring, but the more i watched it the more it was better. The begining was a little bit slow and repetitive..but starting Ep8- Ep9 ... just NICE ;D anyways , you should watch this :)

Although fustrating, somewhat boring and infuriating at times, I thoroughly enjoyed the series. Now Yoo Seung Ho, bring on the next drama!

Today was aired the last episode. I haven't seen the last 2 episodes but I miss it already. I don't care how will be the ending, I like it already very much. No matter how was the story, with its bad and good things, the acting was outstanding. This drama is young, is fresh, just watch it with your heart open. And don't compare it with anything. Even a remake can have its own original events. I recommend it. ;)

ahhh, i have this bad feeling about it... korean drama series tend to end up really dramatic, especially when you don´t expect it. i haven´t seen the japanese version, but something seems fishy. what if the hole time traveling thing is shortening his life span? or they really are not fated to end up together... aish, i couldn´t life with an end like that!

  It definitely ended up overly dramatic. Definitely different from the Japanese version. Who'd have thought Yi Seul will die and Baek Ho will actually go back in time to save her and take her place in dying? Well, of course, he didn't die and made it miraculously but ended up having selective amnesia and forgot all about Yi Seul. I actually thought it was HYD2 for a moment.

  yep, kinda like HYD2. but i liked the fact that he forgot all about Yi Seul. Because finally he realised that the present counts, not the past. And without him losing his memory, Yi Seul wouldn`t have noticed that she was the one running away. At least she had to fight for him and so Kang Baek Ho didn´t end up as the pathetic guy... but tht hole wedding ruining love declaration... urgh, too much for me. And the Coach is just way to nice

  Yes. It is dragging at bit at the moment (but all dramas do that) but still very good. Seung Ho is just awesome in it!

  I think City Hunter and Operation Love are in different genres. I liked City Hunter best though.:)

  Haha thats true but if I dont consider the genres...hmmm at first it was really good and I liked the ending to OP and I also love City Hunter but hated the ending so think theyre equal now :)

Hahhaa I just love Kang baek ko's reaction whenever he sees the "time conductor" ....He looks like a happy dog waving his tail " want to go back haw haw " XD

more than Kang baek ho , Song Chan Wook (Go kyung pyo) is more my style ..probably coz he's tall and have a well built body XD !! Heheee <3 I love this drama and I agree it's better than the Japanese version , even tho they both have the same storyline , the chronological order is better thought in this one and it's even funnier and gives u a sweet heart-warming feeling !
