[edit]Synopsis

Su-mi and Su-yeon return home after an extended illness and hospital stay. Things have not been the same since their mother passed away. Their return is welcomed by Eun-joo, their stepmother. It's evident that Su-mi, the older and stronger of the two, isn't afraid to speak her mind when it comes to their family troubles. Su-yeon is more timid and wary of their stepmother and looks to Su-mi for help. Continually picked on and harassed by their stepmother, the two have no choice but to endure the relationship for their father's sake. Su-mi promises Su-yeon that she will never let their stepmother beat them again. Unexplainable things start to occur at the house. Something has changed, no one knows what it is, but the sisters can feel it. On their first night back, Su-yeon hears someone running up the stairs, opening her door, and walking up to her bed. As soon as she pulls the covers over her head, they are pulled right off, yet no one is around. Could it be their stepmother trying to torment them? Or could it be that there's something more sinister at work, a supernatural force in the houses that wants to drive everyone away?...

As I looked around this movie had all good reviews, so I was really excited to see with mine own eyes if it is that good and... I got only disappointment.

At the beginning movie was so slow. I understand that this type of movies beginnings are usually slow to tell us the story and introduce the characters, but... without little "scary" parts it wasn't entertaining at all. Although I got great vibe from stepmother which was played excellent she was as creepy as she should be.

I really like the house, the wallpapers gives me goosebumps, long hallways this dark corners and that hurtful silence.

A cannot tell anything about music, because I don't remember any of it during the show. Maybe it's just one

This is one of my favorite movies. I watched it expecting just another scary ghost story, but it turned out to be much more original than that. This story unfolds so well that I immediately wanted to rewatch it, and catch all the things I missed the first time. I will admit that the story can be a little confusing at times, and some scenes are very abstract/surreal, but by the end it all comes together brilliantly.

Im Soo Jung is really great as Su mi, and I loved the tension between her and Yeom Jeong-ah, and her sweet relationship with Moon Geun Young.

    The cinematography is absolutely beautiful.

The music by Lee Byung Woo has become of one of my all time favorite musical pieces

  • Both films focus on a young girl/woman who were absent when a friend/loved one needs them most, then are consumed by guilt which, along with problems within the family, drives the events of each film.

I liked this. At first it's so confusing, just trying to get to know the characters and there relation, HeHe.I have seen this on a lot of "Korean scary movie" lists, and if your not into 'scary', don't worry! It's more psychological. It's interesting! <3

Hmm... reading the summary this kind of reminds me of the American movie The Uninvited, which I really liked so I'll try out this movie.
