I would like to begin with the fact that I really enjoyed this drama, it was one of those truly light-hearted romantic comedies. Being 33 episodes I reckon it was a suitable length without any draggy parts and I thoroughly enjoyed the cute moments that was offered. However I must say I didn't read the books beforehand so I don't know how it was in comparison to the originals. Despite that I still loved it.

The story was the typical rich handsome boss and normal/poor girl story, despite it being quite cliche it still had its own cheerful vibe to it which made it seem more unique and special. Being a romantic comedy of course there has to be a love triangle and thus there's the appearance of the 2nd female lead who you would hate but in the end grow to like. The nice thing about this drama is that you would love not only the mains but also the side characters of the drama as they bring alot of joy along with the mains. There isn't much business problems or family issues as I mentioned above as it's a drama focused on the relationship of the boss and the girl.

Acting/Cast I'll be honest a part of the reason why I started this is because of the main leads. I've seen alot of dramas acted by both leads and always ended up enjoying their works so seeing them together in this new drama was a nice surprise for me.
ZhaoLiYing is such an adorable actress and I've became a solid fan of her after the 'Legend of Luzhen'
ZhangHan is also one of my favourite actors, needless to say because of his good looks but also I've seen many of his works including the Queen of SOP.
I also thoroughly support the rest of the cast as they brought so much extra joy to this drama.

The soundtrack nice and enjoyable as I loved hearing the opening and endings, however I haven't been that intrigued to download any of it yet.

This was such a cute and enjoyable drama that I would definitely rewatch in the future. Being 33 episodes I might just skip through once in a while.

Overall this is one of the best modern romantic dramas of China, as I usually just watch chinese historical dramas however this one is defs an exception. It was well made with a great cast that complemented the whole story.
So I recommend this to someone who is looking for some happy sweet and light-hearted as a break from a sad heavy plotted drama.

Ok, first off I would like to confess that I'm one of the rare bunch who hasn't seem the original Death Note anime/manga, neither have I seen the previous movie, though maybe I have but I don't really have any memory of it. However of course I do know the basic storyline, after all it is very famous. So basically this was a new experience for me and it was definitely worth it.

The story was basically followed the original storyline judging from what I saw in the comments, and so I guess they did a really good job of condensing a 30+ anime into 11 eps. Solid effort. Basically it followed the storyline of a normal uni student who was living life like it would have been for him, but when he accidentally picked up the 'Death' Notebook, his life took a drastic turn from there. Of course life doesn't always go smoothly, thus someone will appear to try and stop all his acts of 'justice' which is where the 2nd main lead comes in, and they begin their battle of wit to see who ultimately wins and becomes the last one standing. The story was very compact, exciting and nerve wrecking as I was always extremely tensed to know what might happen next. I watched the whole drama in the span of 3 days, even when I wasn't watching it, my mind would unconsciously think about it as well. That could explain how into it I was.

Acting/Cast
Like everyone has said I think Kubota definitely did a splendid job acting as Yagami Light. Especially as the story progressed and as the character of Light became more and more 'crazy', I could see the change expressed perfectly through the character. During the second half, during his monologues when he was 'Kira' it totally made me believe that he was 'possessed' with that voice and his facial expressions. Thoroughly impressed.
To be honest I started this drama because of L's actor Kento, so during the process of watching this drama I was very emotionally attached to L. I know that they 'changed' this character drastically from the original however I guess I really liked the change of being a 'clean freak' etc. Obviously I loved his acting as L, and even though I knew he was going to die, when it actually happened it still brought tears to my eyes.
Other than the mains I already really enjoyed the side characters such as Watari, Light's dad and the police crew. They all brought extra enjoyment and feelings to the story.

Maybe I was too into the story to notice any good music or soundtracks in general as I don't remember any music. However just judging from the background music during the drama, it fitted the atmosphere and was generally well put. Maybe I need to go back and watch again to find out more.

Overall this was definitely an intense ride of emotions. For someone who usually doesn't watch the thriller, psychological genre I thoroughly enjoyed Death Note and now that I've seen the drama I will definitely go check out the anime and maybe the movie. I reckon the story was well thought out, while it also makes people really notice about what 'power' would do someone on the deep side of things.

This is something that I would definitely rewatch many times, since it's honestly really awesome. I definitely recommend this to those who's watched the anime or movie. Even if they did change things if you watch it with an open mind, it's definitely an awesome drama, plus it's quite short being 11 eps.
Of course I also recommend it to people who like thriller, mystery and the psychological genre in general. This will definitely blow your mind.

Ok I'll just start off by saying even though its a parody remake... it wasn't actually that bad...
The only similar storyline was the fact that he's a rich son of a big company and that they go to a rich school. Other than that nothing was similar to the heirs or YCCFTS. The main guy just time travelled.
This drama actually had SO MUCH POTENTIAL if they made it into a proper drama...
It could have turned out to be a really good drama if it wasn't for its super duper short eps.
I actually liked how the story played out, but it was too short so everything was rushed...
Also due to low production, some scenes were really fake.. but i generally didn't mind that

Acting
So I've personally never seen any of the actors/actresses before so it was a nice experience.
I would look forward to their future works.

Music
The music surprised me a lot, I really like the opening song and I plan to download it.
The other tracks were great as well.

Rewatch
Yea it was a nice experience but it was so short. Finished it before i even realise what was going on.
I still might rewatch it though.

All in all, i'm just so agitated about the fact that this drama had so much potential except due to low production or whatever the reason, it became a short short drama with eps thats 15mins long.
People who have the time and is interested in the story can sure check it out. It doesn't take much time anyway. :)

Ok, so first off I've always loved historical dramas however I've haven't seen one this long (51eps) since Dae Jang Geum, so I wasn't really sure if I should start it. However after accidentally coming across a short clip posted by MBC on youtube, that was the trigger for me to start this wonderful masterpiece that I'll never forget.

The story was very complicated with many plot twists and turning points along the way, there was plenty of political drama coupled with betrayal and sacrifices. For someone who usually watches light hearted romantic comedies, the amount of drama in this whole series was actually very heart-wrenching to watch. However the strong themed romance in the series evened it out for me. I was always a TaNyang supporter right from the beginning, even though many comment on how the emperor was childish and useless throughout the whole drama, I must strongly disagree with that. Yes I believe he started off being a timid, useless crown prince, but it's an undeniable fact that in the later half he has developed to become a reliable and controlling emperor, as proven in the last episode, which blew me away.
After finishing the whole series, I believe she truly love the emperor, her feelings for Wangyu might have been extreme feelings of respect and admiration which she mistook for love. Just my opinion however others can argue that.

Acting and Cast, need less to say was absolutely amazing. I've always been a fan of Ha Ji Won since Secret Garden and as expected she did not disappoint, this has officially became my favourite drama from her.
This drama introduced me to 'Ji Chang Wook' and I really want to ask: "Where have you been my whole life?". Shockingly for a drama fanatic like myself, how have I not discovered him before. His performance in this drama amazed me to no end from the strong character development, to his heart-breaking love for Seungyang. The last episode just broke my heart, leaving a mark that'll never be smeared. I am now on a lookout for any of his other dramas.

I loved the soundtrack for this drama, it was fitting and emotionally moving. I have already downloaded it so its clear how much I love it.

Since its a 51 episode drama, I won't rewatch it in the short run, however ever since I finished I have already rewatched a few of my favourite episodes numerous times. Maybe half a year later I'll come back to it, depending on how much I remember it could mean rewatching the whole thing or skipping parts. However one thing for sure I will definitely watch it again.

Overall, this has to be one of the best historical k-dramas I've come upon. I miss the characters and the waterfall of emotions i felt while watching it. Despite it being long, I recommend anyone who loves historical dramas and romance to try this.

P.S For people who love chinese historical dramas, it was very interesting to see how the chinese history was played out through a korean drama. Worth the watch.

First of I'll be honest with you, I watched it cause of the main male lead - Li Yi Feng, he's just such a cutie, who could resist? The drama was excellent, heavily centered on family drama, business battles and revenge.

Story - the drama had a excellent start that hooked me straightaway and before I knew it I couldn't stop watching. :) However during the middle it started to drag as the story became complicated with all the revenge, drama and betrayals, which consequently caused the drama to have a constant melancholic feel. For someone that usually prefers romantic comedies, during the middle period it was bit hard for me to take in all the sadness and drama that was going on. However that aside the romance in it was totally cute and helped me pull through with all the depression.
In relation to the romance of the story, the ending puzzled me alot as I didn't really work out who she ended up in the end. Other than that this is a great drama overall.

Acting/Cast - I loved the cast, as mentioned before Li Yi Feng was the main reason I tried this drama and he totally did not disappoint. He was the sweet and heart warming male lead that would do anything for the female lead. Loved his scenes with the main actress.
This was the first time watching a drama with this female lead, it was a great experience and I support her fully. She's excellent and beautiful, hope to see more of her works in the future.

Music - The music was great fitted all scenes, however nothing special or memorable.

Rewatch value - For someone like me who doesn't really like too much depression and drama, I don't think I'll be watching this anytime soon however if I have time in the future I might consider.

All in all, this is a great drama for people who like modern romance dramas with a heavy plot on family and business drama with tints of betrayal and friendship.
