As someone else wrote that they were immersed in this drama from beginning to end -- I was so totally immersed that I watched most of the episodes 2 or 3 times (weekday dramas are shorter than others). I found myself truly living with the actor's characters -- sounds funny, I know; but once you invest in a drama like this one where everything is magnificent, you do feel as if you're living in this period of history. At the same time this drama was airing, "Empress Ki" was airing also. Since "EK" was a 2 episodes a week drama, it seemed to get more notice; but by far, I found myself more "immersed" in "King's Daughter" than "Empress Ki". The writing, production, directing, all of the cast (Jo Hyun Jae is one of my most favorite actors), the costumes and dramatic sets were all of the highest quality. By far, with all of the historical dramas I've watched, "King's Daughter" was the best one I've ever seen!!! When you watch it, I can't guarantee that you will fall in love with it or be immersed as I was; but you will enjoy it and come away with a feeling of time well spent!! Great drama in all respects ... I give it a perfect 10 ... ;)

I thought I had seen all of the best love stories, but I hadn't seen this one yet! Kang Ji Hwan and Kim Ha Nuel were amazingly, talented actors to have portrayed the characters in this bittersweet romance. The supporting characters were written to be rather cold, cruel, and lacking in understanding, though it wasn't their fault that they were that way. All of the actors did well, especially the 3 lifetime friends bromance! If you aren't one who likes a very sad drama with periods of laughter and love plus many tissues used, then this drama isn't for you. IF you want to see how characters struggle with the problems life deals them and you don't mind heartbreak tears, then you will enjoy this!!! It's a very slow moving glimpse into the lives of these special friends... It gave enough time to truly understand the characters. The music seemed at first out of place (all American songs mostly older than the time period of the drama); but as the episodes went by playing the songs as memories of places and times, I began to truly enjoy it. There was also some beautiful Korean music that wasn't subbed, but seemed to go along with the feel of the drama. The story line was a bit repetitive, but not so much that it conflicted with the total character development. Actually, I loved ALL of it and rated it 10/10. Don't know why others rated it lower...

Such a beautiful drama! I wish I had watched it when I originally thought about watching it!! So realistic and heartwarming. The perfect story for all of them, and everything worked out for the best in a happy ending!! The acting was superb, but I wouldn't think of anything less with Lee Bo Young... She is such a believably fantastic actor. After seeing Lee Sang Youn in "Angel Eyes", I wanted to see him in another drama. His beautiful smile, dimples, and shining eyes... He's so handsome and such a good actor, too! The entire cast was amazing and perfectly matched to their characters.

All in all, I truly loved this drama; and rated it 5 Stars for everyone to watch and enjoy ;) The only thing that held me back from watching it was that it had 50 episodes... Honestly, though, once I made the commitment for the 50 episodes, I was so glad I did! Yes, it was long; but the time passed relatively quickly because the story line was so good, thanks to the writers! No fast-forwarding through any of it. It's just worth every minute of watching time. Try it! You will love it!!

There are few, if any, Korean dramas that I dislike. I shouldn't have watched this all the way through, but I kept hoping somehow the ending would have some redeeming qualities. Sadly, my frustration for the writers forbidden love story line that should have been left in the round file. The acting that was mostly over-acted by Kong Hyo Jin, under-acted by Cho Jae Hyun & Oh Yeon-Su, but finally just right by Kim Rae Won... I actually wanted to see this drama because he was in it. At least for that, I'm glad I watched it. If I had known that the subject of the drama was what it was, I probably wouldn't have watched it. If I say any more, I would be posting spoilers. Bottom Line: I cannot recommend this drama at all...

I just finished watching "Queen In Hyun's Man", and there's nothing that I can say except that I rated it a perfect 10!!! I honestly didn't know what the drama was supposed to be about so it was all a pleasant surprise. I also didn't realize that the two leads actually became a couple either during or after the filming -- also saw where they broke up when Ji Hyun-Woo was discharged from the Army in May 2014... They had so much chemistry on screen that it was no wonder they fell in love in real life! I found myself either smiling, laughing, or crying beginning to end. I would recommend this to anyone who likes to see a well-written, well-acted love story with a twist... It's also one of those dramas that can be watched again and again ;)
