If I had my eyes closed and the movie started, I would have guessed from the great trumpet music that Jeffrey (1995 American gay movie - we have it here) is starting. However, the story of this short story is equally rambling to the point of craziness, even though it is otherwise completely different in plot, origin and date of creation. However, one of the fathers seemed too warm to the creators (Steven Jiang, who also played the main role of a teacher in HIStory2: Right or Wrong) to add more "comedy" (femininity, lace, etc.), but on the other hand, it can " to deceive" the audience that cohabiting men are all so "weird". But the film moved to the heights for me thanks to the great music /trumpet, piano/.

A Loose Adaptation That's Kind of Okay

This drama is a loose adaptation of Rich Man, Poor Woman. They made a lot of changes so if you're watching it as a remake, you might not be as impressed. However, they made 2 or 3 major changes to the story that I actually kind of liked. They also made it a bit more romance focused. It was a decent adaptation for Thai audiences. That being said, one of the changes they made is that they simplified the business drama to something Thai audiences are more familiar with: a family business succession drama. Therefore, the business part of this drama is highly boring. All the startup stuff that appealed to me in the original was lost here. Neither leads appear as intelligent as they were in the original either. If you're watching this without seeing any other adaptations, this will seem like your average Thai business romance drama, expect there's an unusual face prosopagnosia twist and less catfights.

Not your typical BL

This wasn’t just another BL this was a visceral experience to love, life, and complicated relationships. This one is a true LGBT+ series, much like you’d see in America.

My favorite couples were Sand and Ray, I really relished watching the two of the grow into each other. I especially liked when Ray apologized and asked Sand to to be patient with him. The whole scene touched me.

I’m also glad the lesbian couple wasn’t just a throw away. I hope to see more of them in the future.

It was well executed and the fashion and music (soundtrack) was a chefs kiss.

Sweet voice, sweet food, sweet love! ?

I haven't seen the ML in any show, but i know he's in Lost you forever, haven't seen it as yet, I did watch the FL for the first time in BFTB, and she was incredible there.

With that being said, I had this in my list and was so happy when I saw it finally started airing, I'm happy I only came back after a friend mentioned it was a NBU drama (NoBreakUp), so I didn't check out the comment section, so I blindly went in and boy did I have a great time watching this

This show is just simply a pure, sweet romance, and it worked, because you had chemistry with our MC that was oozing from the first episode, and throughout the show. The way they looked at eachother you'll think they were in love for real ?. They also had some intense sexual tension between them ?, yet was sooo pure and sweet. No annoying FL, No mean ML, A wonderful ML who was so caring and sweet, and a FL who was just as nice just a man who loves a woman and her voice, and a woman who loves a man, his voice and his food, with some extremely incredible friends and a warm family ❤️

It was truly my cup of tea, I loveeee shows with singing and have only enjoyed Love scenery so far with that genre, and I am a sucker for sappy, sweet romance so if you like those things, plus food, you'll enjoy this.

Its really that simple. ?

Don't watch for the mafia plotline...

I almost wish I could rate this lower. The "gangster" aspects mostly involved a loose mafia plotline, complete with poorly choreographed fight scenes and a rivalry that made no sense. However, despite the lackluster gangster oppa plot, I found myself enjoying every single episode WAY more than I expected.

This show is fun. It's light, an easy watch, and unintentionally goofy. There's not too much drama between the couple over the course of the 8 episodes, which is ideal in a show like this. Tew (Meen) and Guy (Ping) meet while playing online games together and decide to meet up. The two totally hit it off and start hanging out together more regularly, which of course leads to them falling in love. However, Tew's attempts to hide his "gangster" identity don't go well, and this could put Guy in danger. I find mafia BLs to be hit or miss, especially when it comes to the action scenes. I don't typically expect a lot out of Thai BLs when it comes to that, but if you're going to do a gangster concept, I do think that's pretty important. While it may have missed the mark there, it made up for it in the cute and fun romance, which is worth watching.

A FL who throws water on the ahjhumma

We have had enough of dramas where the FL gets water thrown at by elders in a cafe, in this drama it is the exact opposite lol. Finally we see a strong FL, she answers back, she slaps the villian girl, she aint afraid of shit. ML is CEO, so there is that, he is supportive, altho he tries to be her saviour he realizes she dont need no knight, which is hilarious. The chemistry is there.
I had a feeling - whole series feels like an anime with human added, thin bodied ML like some japanese shouju, round faced beady eyes FL, cause of the pace, expressive acting and effects.
If you are looking for something short without any character getting on your nerves, watch it.

Another of Miko Jacinta's films presented here takes us into the environment of the "production" of gay films a decade or more ago in the Philippines. Amateurism is present here, especially with regard to "acting" performances, with perhaps two or three exceptions. However, the story itself has its own depth and I rate it this way, but at the same time I do not recommend the film to the vast majority of the staff here and "professional" critics, turn your attention to other projects. It belongs to a set of Pinoy movies from a decade ago and more that I collect and we have quite a few listed here already, but a whole line is still missing and almost untraceable.

Yes, friendship plays the most important role in the film, it is the main line and it is graduated in the end, but everything else is just average and the BL component - downright weak, I expected more from Jerome Ponce, rather a concoction, as I know him with Ben X Jim . Tony Labrusca solid and Albie Casiňo joined him, not only in acting, but also in appearance.

Action, drama, romance - I would trade all of these for a comedy. Everything was so strange, gross (certainly on purpose), miserable from the point of view of a European viewer that I had to laugh at some scenes (instead of being afraid or crying). I recommend it to some viewers, as a "refreshment" after a day's trudging at work. Gentlemen tried, but I can't squeeze a higher rating out of myself ... Just an eye for an eye, a hole for a hole ... ??????

Just okay!

Didn't expect it to be amazing and it definitely wasn't, I still liked it tho! The story wasn't anything special, it was very easy to watch. The actors were decent, it felt like the ml was whispering 80% of the time which was kinda weird. One problem I had is that I feel like we never got to know the ml? He was just really uninteresting. We could've gotten some more about his childhood or something. I really liked the fl! The couple's chemistry was meh but they were still sweet. Everything was decent but I didn't hate it. Movies like this are kind of my guilty pleasure, it's not amazing but still fun to watch haha!

You should watch this if you want something easy and sweet to watch! :)

“The moment you give up, it’s game over.” – Ha Yi Chan

I postponed watching this show before it was all the way done. It was so tempting at times because I would see clips of this show on TikTok. I finally got around to watching this drama and it does not disappoint. This show lived up to the hype and many more. Twinkling watermelon might just be in my top ten dramas that I watched in 2023. This show falls into the all the things that I love in korean dramas from the funny wholesome friendships to the cute romantic relationships. It even show the different dynamics between the character and their parents. And to make this even better the music is really good. So shout out to everyone who was apart of making the music for this show. And shout out to the actors who worked so hard to produce such an amazing performance for all of us to watch.

The dynamic between Ha Eun Gyeol and Ha Yi Chan had me laughing, smiling, and crying all throughout this series. Their is just somthing that pulls at my heart strings when a son wants the absolute best for hsi father and vise verse. And with this show eun gyeol is dedicated to making sure that his father dosent suffer from the accident that makews him go deaf. Even when his father say’s meana things to him and even disregard his advice he always comes back to make sure yi chan isnt hurt or in trouble. He really cares about his father and yi chan even comes around to view eun gyeol as a son and is truely grateful for the things that he has done for him.

A couple I really love is Ha Yi Chan and Yoon Cheong Ah there the epitome of what love looks like. Love is a language that need no words it is just something that you feel. So when I see yi chan and cheong ah you can just tell that it is love. From the way yi chan learned sign language so that cheong ah would feel just a littl less alone in the world. Or how he even sang a song using sign language so that cheong could feel include and so she could watch him performe just the two of them. There was also so just such a cute couple that some time it made me want to throw up. But then at the same time I envy their love and that being able to communicate with eachother didnt stop ether of them from falling in love. All of this aside their visual are just amazing like their actors are just so attractive.

Its just something about this show that bring out my love for kdramas. Here are some of my favorite quotes from this show “Here’s a thing about life. It may not give you everything you want. But it does hide a small present for you from time to time. I hope you can endure the cruel hardship life throws your way. So you can receive the present life has tucked away.” – Mr. Viva. another quote is “Everyone just goes on with their lives while giving meaning to their lives or trying to find meaning. They do their best to rationalize their lives.” – Ha Eun Gyeol.“ You connect the world filled with sounds with the world of silence, using your voice and hands. And at times, like you through music.” – Mr. Viva

Story so addicting you can't help binge-watching it in one day!

This review is long overdue. I finished this one almost 2 weeks ago but only now I feel calm enough to sit still writing this review. This drama was not even on my PTW list but I was curious about that rating and all the rave about it so I started this one on whim. Wow by the end of ep 1 I was sold! Hence I binge-watched this in less than a day.

What I liked :-

✅️ Addicting ,angsty and no draggy storyline. The plot remind me of makjang drama I used to watch 10 years back. 12 episodes is just perfect. No filler scenes that will make you abuse your FF button.
✅️ Good acting from all cast. This was my first Jung Yoo Min drama and I enjoyed her acting. Her acting reminds me much of the actress Lee Min Jung. So pretty like her too.
✅️ Contract marriage.
✅️ FL getting revenge on people who did her dirty in satisfying way.
✅️ Main couple who most of the time does communicate with each other.
✅️ Great chemistry between leads.
✅️ Green flag male lead .
✅️ A mother-in-law that is not evil for once. When most of family dramas potrayed an evil MIL , it was refreshing to see this drama broke that trope.
✅️ HEA.
✅️ Pleasant to listen to OSTs. My favourite is Halo by Sohn Yerim.

What I liked the least:-

☑️ Cinematography could have been better.
❌️ ML's wardrobe style. His stylist need to be fired. Some of his clothing were hideous fortunately Sung Hoon's good look made it hurting my eyes less. While all the females in this drama got the best wardrobe why they did not do the same for the males...

Overall, PMR is one of the best K-drama I've watched this year. If you like what I liked, watch it & you might enjoy it like I did.

Unmet Expectations: A Disappointing Experience with "Moving"

Pros:
-FTX and Makeup Quality: The series does shine in terms of FTX and makeup, showcasing a commendable level of technical skill.
-Doo Sik and Mi Hyun's Love Story: The slow-burn love story between Doo Sik and Mi Hyun provides a redeeming element, offering a genuinely enjoyable aspect within the overall narrative.
-Ryu Seung-ryong's acting: He just doesn't fail at delivering his role, truly a versatile actor.

Cons:
-Overrated and Overhyped: Despite high ratings, "Moving" falls short of the hype, leaving viewers with unmet expectations.
-Not Action-Oriented: Contrary to expectations, the series leans more towards romance than action, potentially disappointing fans seeking an adrenaline-fueled experience.
-Cringeworthy Script and Lack of Depth: The script is criticized for being cringeworthy and lacking depth, preventing the narrative from achieving a meaningful impact. The fact that they overused "Who are you?", "Do you want to die?", "Bastards" and things that don't even need to be said make it so hard to watch.
-Excessive Side Characters: The presence of numerous side characters with insignificant stories adds unnecessary complexity, diluting the main plot and contributing to a disjointed narrative.
-Absence of Main Plot Line: The series suffers from a lack of a clear main plot line, resulting in a narrative that feels scattered and disorganized.
-Villains: Black-and-White and Boring: The one-dimensional portrayal of villains with a lack of depth and development adds to the overall disappointment.
-Wasted Talents: Despite a cast of great actors, including Ryu Seung-ryong, Park Hee-soon, Jo Insung, Cha Tae-hyun, and Han Hyo-joo, the series fails to leverage their talents effectively.

"Moving" may have some technical merits and a redeeming love story, but the overwhelming issues, including a lack of villain's motives and main plot line, cringeworthy script, and wasted talent, make it difficult to recommend, especially for fans expecting an engaging action and crime series.

Series is much more focus on romance

This series is like 65% romance, so if your someone who likes romance very much this is for you. However if your into romance but at the same time cares about the world-building or plot wise, then you might not like this series much.

The plot is good, however the execution is meh.. I feel like they tried to do a "the long ballad" way for this series, wherein they would also focus on the second couple, though this didn't work for me and instead of getting hooked into second cp it just made me annoyed.

The acting was good, as expected of zhao lusi. The guy who played the ml was also good. Lusi's chemistry with the guy is good. The second couple also did some good acting however the chemistry not so much.

I put the rewatch value on 5.5 simply because i feel like this show is something i could only watch the first time and honestly if i want to watch this, i would just simply watch HDL.

Cute!

I enjoyed it more than I expected! There are a lot of negative reviews which I kinda understand, it wasn't amazing but I don't think it was that bad either. It was cute and made me emotional at some moments too. I like cute and fluffy things so it was perfect for me I guess haha. I kinda relate to the fl too and that made me like her a lot. I liked all of the characters!

I watched the movie before I watched the anime. I don't think you'll like the movie as much if you watched the anime or read the manga tbh. I usually don't watch anime but I decided to after I watched the movie. The movie had a faster pace and was kind of rushed. I wanted to see more of the story and the couple so that's why I decided to watch the anime too. The anime was A LOT better! I honestly recommend you watch the anime instead even if I liked the movie too.

I wanted something soft and easy to watch and it was perfect for that. I don't think you should watch this if you want something "deep" and emotional. I also don't think this is for everyone. I'm a teenager and I loved this but you might not like this as much if you're an adult? I have no idea hahah.

I liked the actors, the music was good and I think there's a big chance I rewatch it! :) I liked the movie enough to watch the anime which I loved even more and now I'm planning on reading the manga too haha!
