While Mask is a deep melodrama, Goong is just a typical romcom.
But still they have some commons:
- Ji Hoon as male lead
- A contract marriage, where the guy cant the girl, his wife, at the beginning and is mean to her
- A female lead, who comes from a poor family and just married into a rich family to help her own family out of financial issues
...both dramas are defintely worth watching.

> both are dramas centered around revenge
> rich/poor issues between two families
> "forbidden" kind of relationships/love
> serious, more mature romance scenes, not just wall-kissing
> a lot of secrets waiting to be discovered
> tragic scenes
> both have YJH as co-leading actor
One difference is that EoE relies a lot on action/business while Mask is more drama/romance oriented.

Byun Ji Sook has always had a hard life with her father constantly going into debt and being chased by loan sharks. She desperately wants to know what life is like if she was born into a better family and didn’t have to worry about money all the time. When a series of circumstances brings Ji Sook to Eun Ha, a woman from a wealthy family who strongly resembles Ji Sook, she grabs hold of the chance for a better life and assumes Eun Ha’s identity and begins to live her elite life. She meets Min Woo, a chaebol heir who is mistrusting of the people around him. But when he realizes that Ji Sook is not like the other women he has met, he is drawn to her. How long can Ji Sook keep up the charade and hide her true identity?
Another drama about a dysfunctional chaebol family and the lengths they are willing to go in order to gain7keep the power; lying, stealing, corruption, murder! Everything is very dramatically underlined by a sweeping score!! Magnificent! Another makjang, murder mystery, revenge, deep secrets drama! So much fun to watch!
There's more similarities between these two besides the very similar poster (lol)...
Both mystery romances, with a chaebol/luxurious life backdrop. The male lead in KMHM must hide his multiple identity disorder from the rich, while the female lead in Mask must hide her true identy as a poor woman from the rich.
Similiar melodrama vibes

Both have in common:

- a woman madly in love with the main antagonist to the point of ruining her whole life;
- a female protagonist whose shames often fails miserably;
- a scheming and lying female protagonist whom is actually an innocent person who loves her family dearly;
- a male protagonist who realises the woman he loves lies to him, but even so decides to trust even her lies;

Murdering rotten and evil chaebols receiving the just comeuppance is the running theme of both dramas. The FL s are both constantly miserable: I have not seen either crack a promise of a smile throughout both dramas. Plenty of secrets pushing the plot forward, great cliffhangers and the sweeping music, practically a character on its own. These are some of the best makjangs around!
Both have a male lead, obsessed with cleanliness and with other PTSD and OCD problems displayed. He is a CEO, so he has to keep his troubles a secret. Is rich, but mistreated by his own family (which is the root of all of his psychological problems).
Female lead is poor, clumsy. Has problems hiding her own feeling as they are always being easily read on her face. He is business-smart.. she is innocent.
