Dreaming of a Freaking Fairytale Episode 4…

Dreaming of a Freaking Fairytale Episode 4 reduces the slapstick comedy in favour of the conflict and the drama but the momentum continues as the story unfurls in a hilarious way. The leads are so unserious and unaware of each other’s feelings that it makes for a fun watch. Jun-young especially kills it as Cha-min who is a complete loser in love but tries to play it cool. The Cinderella motifs continue and are weaved in pretty cleverly. In this episode, we get the impossible task before the ball, Jae-rim showing up in her pretty dress at the ball and Cha-min falling for her. The evil aspect switches from the stepfamily who is actually nice to Jae-rim and instead, we get Dan-a and her cohort being the antagonists and ruining her dress. We do wonder why Do-hong suddenly changed his mind. Or was he only pretending to be nice to Jae-rim all this while so she’d secure him the membership?

Dreaming of a Freaking Fairytale Episode 3…

Dreaming of a Freaking Fairytale Episode 3 continues with the goofy execution of the plot and so far, it is still refreshing. It’s the little things that make it engaging such as the moments with the Hwa-jin, seeing Cha-min’s motivations and the sarcastic narration. The main leads’ romance also seems to be blooming in the classic he secretly likes her and she is oblivious trope. Which will get pretty exciting with the hot new customer entering the picture.Despite being hilarious and having viewers giggling in every other scene, the surprisingly serious moment with the one step-sister we didn’t expect is the highlight of the episode. It gives us valid viewpoints of both sisters and why they think the way they do. For Jae-rim, along with getting out of poverty, she also values love. Meanwhile, Hwa-jin is practical and prefers to rely on no one but herself.

makin seru sih asli,

ICONIC scene

GMMTV had come up with an ICONIC scene on the train. Kudos to Keen and Sea. And bravo to the director, writers and crew. Awesome scene that will be etched in my mind for years to come.

Four Stars

The Atypical Family has its ups and downs throughout. The series started off on a promising note and built up the expectations of the viewers. The show took an unexpected turn and started focusing more on Bok Gwi Joo and Do Da Hae's past instead of focusing on the present. Thankfully, in such sluggish moments, the side plot of Bok In A, her school life and her relationship with Bok Gei Joo and Do Da Hae come to the rescue. The series is entertaining and fun to watch overall. The actors take on the dull parts with confidence and make such moments bearable. Much of the story is saved by the actors' talent. The drama promises something new and fresh in the beginning but ends up following the same old K-drama tropes. Yet, The Atypical Family has heartwarming moments which are the central points. It explores themes of family, mental health and much more.

The Atypical Family is surely atypical, and…

The Atypical Family is surely atypical, and we are here for it! In this episode, our fears about Gwi-ju’s mutating powers suggesting that he might die saving Da-hae from the fire have come true. Apart from the suspense this addition creates, the scenes involving Dong-hee and her comeback are probably the best that her character has experienced in the show.As we thought, Il-hong did care about Da-hae! We would have loved to see more of their dynamics, which fall quite short of how it’s executed in the series. Moreover, this episode had some insightful dialogues. For instance, when Da-hae tells Man-heum, “You can’t change your dreams, but you can choose how to interpret them. Your dream may not have shown you everything. Perhaps you were too afraid to see everything clearly. So please, keep on dreaming.”

GONE BACK AROUND AND AROUND AGAIN

I have actually mixed emotions watching this drama, the story was crazy and all nonsense but I don't know why I am still here and trying to find out what will happen to Ji Hwan and Kang Jin .. I mean I so love the both of them but I hated their way of thinking, specially Kang JIn ! like why in the first place he has to pretend to be JI Hwans late brother ? was it because of his conscience of blaming himself of that person's death? Woong Jung was right ! they really have the brains of the birds HAHAH .. what a fooling thinking ! anyways.. I wanna see still how and what will happen to them in the future .. 4 episodes left and finally be able to get away of this fooling , absurd , love story of Ji Hwan and Kang JIn !

TOO BAD FOR AE JEONG

Dok go JIn was so mean ! when the time that Ae Jeong has chosen him and have decided hardly about it, why would Dok Go Jin do that !! too bad for Ae Jeong, she should've chosen Dr. Pil Joo waaaaaabut all in all so love this drama. every thing was so effortlessly funny , I also love Ae Jeong's Father. by the way Seri was so mean here , it was revealed that it was all her fault all along even why she was slapped by Ae Jeong, she should've had a lottle conscience .. well anyway, I could feel that everything will go well with Ae Jeong from here, it will be maybe heartbroken on the next episode but I will be looking forward for it until the end !

Three Stars

honestly i dont feel anything special from this first episode but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t good. i guess it was a cute start to a series. also this is probably a very unpopular opinion but i don’t really vibe with phuwin’s acting… i felt it in nlmg and i’m feeling it here too. compared to the other actors of the show i just feel like his acting is very awkward and it kinda makes me cringe

Plot hole regarding the maids

Didn't they burn all the contracts of the maids? So they can't just willy-nilly sell or send one of them to be someone else's concubine against their will right?

I might cry

They are so domestic it's so hilarious that they're still doubting about whether they like each other. Maybe it's me and always intellectualizing my feelings but I cannot fathom being this oblivious about liking someone romantically. Truly mind-boggling

Lovely Start

The best part of the episode is the acting and these are not easy characters to portray. I really like Fourth’s take on Atom, he plays him a little more dorky than Atom is in the manga but just as spazy. It works and he had me laughing out loud throughout the episode. Kongthap/Ida is a very hard character to play because he is so serious, but nice. The expressions need to be subtle. Gem did such a good job of portraying Thap’s emotional journey through micro expressions. The girl Pahn is the perfect Mudmee/Hoshimoto. I can’t wait to get to know her character in the next few episodes.
