Even though I am not an ancient drama fan I still love this drama. The drama has really deep feelings. If you prefer a happy ending it is not for you. This drama is touching and made me cry. I am a very practical and strong person and I rarely cry watching shows or movies but I cried watching this drama. I feel this drama is really good.

Story: Talking about the story of the drama I loved it but I didn't like how Mu Le had to leave. Ye Yuan'an had a very bad fate in love. Her first love marries another girl and her second love leaves her. I really feel bad for her.

Acting: The acting of the drama is the best. The actors have done a very good job. They have made the viewers live in the story.

Music: I didn't listen to OSTs of this drama so I don't think I should judge it.

Rewatch value: I have not watched after the first time as I know the ending is sad.

This drama is entertaining but is not memorable. It is an odyssey, which it means that it will be a long and eventful journey, which the drama did provide. Once that said, the plot is sometimes incoherent and all over the place. The characters are likable but the leading female character spent most of the drama been stubborn and child like, her love hate relationship with the leading male was overbearing and it took too long for the romance to take place and, once it did, it was not as great as expected. The leading male, even through his twice acquired amnesia, is steadfast toward his feelings and demonstrates a steady good nature quality. The second part of the drama had too many ridiculous twists that became somewhat repetitive and the ending is rushed and ambiguous. Overall, it is not a bad drama; it has enough fantasy to keep the viewer amused.

Great potential until the end

I decided to watch this drama because I really like the FL's acting. She has a charming carefree personality. The beginning was quite mysterious with wuxia and cases that needs to be solved. The ML's past was also mysterious, no one know of his origins. It was quite a journey as he is trying to figure out his identity and went through quite a lot of mistreatment for being a slave. Towards the end when vampire starts getting thrown in the storyline is when I started feeling overwhelmed and just want the series to end. Overall, I would say a decent series if you have nothing else better to watch.
