"Midsummer Is Full of Love" is an adaptation of the 2004 Korean drama "Full House".
They have the same story with few changes. Both have the story of a famous guy who buys the house of a lonely girl and they make a relationship contract to live in the same house. In the two dramas we have love triangles and the strong link between the protagonist and the house built by her father.

In both, the female leads end up living with the male leads for financial reasons, but end up falling in love. In both, this is partially due to the female lead's relative selling half or all of the property, without telling her.

ML is an actor but not too popular anymore & broke so he rent a room in FL house.
FL is a nerdy geeky/otaku girl who like to imagine & day dreaming about romance with her favorite manga/comic book character. Remind me of Rainie Yang & Jiro Wang drama....& still 1 of my favorite drama....If you like this genre this is a must watch romance comedy drama....

Where as full house was more dramatic drunken to love you is more comedic- but the same idea, 2 people who dislike each other are forced to live together because the female has lost her house. they fall in love cant admit it, and eventually come back to each other.

Han Ji Eun, an aspiring scriptwriter, lives in a house called "Full House" built by her late father. One day, her two best friends trick her into believing she has won a free vacation, and sell her house while she's away. On the plane, she meets famous actor Lee Young Jae. Through comedic events, they get acquainted during her vacation and when she returns, she discovers her house has been sold to him. Though they don't get along with each other (because of her messy tendencies, his bad temper and zealous cleanliness), they agreed to live with each other. In the beginning, Ji Eun works as his maid in order to buy her house back. They alter their arrangement when Young Jae decides to win back the love of his life, Kang Hye Won. In a bid to make Hye Won jealous, the two protagonists enter into a contract marriage with a six month term. Complications arise when the couple starts to fall for each other.

Full House (2004) has several similar tropes with Only Just Married (2021). To name a few the similar tropes are fake marriage, cohabitation, slice of life, marriage of convenience, pretend relationship trope. In addition, the two series also adapted from manga or manhwa.

Tanimachi Mizuho has big dreams of living in Daikanyama and becoming a famous writer. In the middle of the winter, this strong-willed 26-year-old moves to Tokyo from the snowy countryside. Never doubting her ability, she keeps telling herself that if her desire to realize her dreams is strong enough, they will come true. What is waiting for her in Tokyo though, is something altogether different.

Morinaga Kenta is an up-and-coming variety program scenario writer. Kenta moved to Tokyo five years ago, and with luck on his side, he became well-known in no time. Kenta and Mizuho are from the same hometown, and were friends growing up, but their friendship never blossomed into anything else. "Hachiko," as Kenta was known as when he was growing up, just goes with the flow and doesn't really have any big aspirations for himself.

These two, who aren't having much luck with work or with their love lives, suddenly run into each other one day in Tokyo in the middle of winter. Being 26 is a tough point in life because it's too late to think of new dreams, but on the other hand, it's too late to abandon old ones...
