Love Rain (2012)

The drama is unique and different from other korean dramas…..The Beautiful drama is full of sorrow and laughter at the same time. It is soo addictive that i watched the latest episodes without English Subs and i still did not miss a single episode even though i had tests!!

For some reason, while watching Love Rain, the drama reminds me of the movie -- the thing with the past and present. Both are good to watch. ;)

Both drama revolves in their parents and their child's love story. The conflict that deals with the past affected the present. The lead couple can't be together because of their parent's love history. Both of this drama is really great and truly worth your time.

Dramas about unforgettable unfulfilled first love.

Both gave the same feelings of pure innocent first love. Shy ML.

Both occurred as students, one during high school while another during university.

One will feel it long after the drama ends.

Both stories shifted from past and present. The main characters lost in touch with their first love and then found each other in the present.

I'd say it's quite similar. It's about first love, family, even songs. Yes, songs do have that magic which brings us back to the past even for a moment..

similarities:
1. both of these dramas take place in the past, around the same time give or take a few years. Love Rain takes place earlier in time (1970s) and Youth of May in 1980.
2. the love between the leads is deep, unexpected and life altering.
3. separation of the leads due difficult circumstances. the lovers never forgot each other till the present day, even though they have been separated for decades.
4. tragic ending - unfulfilled love.
