Sad but Touching Ending

Then I first started this drama, it was because of Joowon. After watching him on "Good Doctor" I was eager to watch his other work! He didn't dissapoint me I fell head over heels in love with him again (*^.^*)... Frankly I was really shocked and sad when BoonYi was shot and died. I really thought she would be saved somehow but than I saw the grave scene and my tears began to drop. I thought to myself that it couldn't be how could BoonYi die of all people? Why? But at the end it somehow... how should I put it... when I saw the people walking and KangTo in the middle (and the OST was amazing too ^.^) I was really proud and moved! I'm glad I watched this drama!!!
P.S. But it's still sad that BoonYi, Shunji and the other people died =(

A beautiful ending to a Beautiful drama!

what can i say this drama is one of the best.
it was so raw and full of emotions, i enjoyed every minute of it! even though it lacked romance it still won me over i usually go for the romantic dramas. and the story was truly heart wrenching, i can relate to this story b/c my own country is in the same state today and its truly hard to see your people suffer. it gave hope for a better tomorrow you can lose a lot yet gain something that will last for years :)

A piece of art.

This drama made it ! Even if Mok Dan died (which was alright), i think that the drama had a great ending.
I'm glad that Shunji killed himself yet i felt really bad and the conversation he had with Kang To before his death was just awesome.
Katsuyama broke my heart, that was sad :(
The final scene was a masterpiece with all those Gaksitals and Kang To came from the middle.

Overall, this drama had a perfect ending :)

Sad but beautiful ..

i was so emotional while watching this episode. At the beginning a lot of people died! i cried and i was like it's just the beginning and i don't want the end to be bad like that T_T !

But the ending was legendary, i'll never forget it! How the people of Joseon wore Gaksital mask. It was so beautiful..

Tragic but Beautiful

I'm at lost of what to say now... the ending was tragic but beautiful. Even though several characters died, they died for a good reason, not like the writers killed them off for no reason. Mok Dan died because she protected Kang To, her acting was great in the final episode, she really expressed her emotions when she was dying. Shunji shot himself because of two reasons: 1. he was overtaken by guilt and grievance, he had nothing to live for anymore. The killed his loved one, and his best friend is standing in front of him, wanting to rip out his throat. 2. he didn't want Kang To to bear the guilt of killing him, so instead, Shunji shot himself. Several comrades died, but the independence movement still continues. Rara shined in this episode, there was some romance/friendship between Rara and Shunji based on that phone call and it was extremely emotional. Rara chose to live as a joseon person afterwards, she even said "call me by Chae Hoo Jong(I'm not sure)" there was a lot of character development

Joo Won, Park Ki Woong, and Han Chae Ah all deserve several awards for their acting. Jin Se Yun deserved an award for her acting in the last episode, it was simply touching and emotional.

Emotionally draining...

Everything about this episode was great even though people died.

People have already said so much about this episode. I only really have one thing to add.

Shunji killing himself was almost redeeming just for the look of relief on Kang To's face.

Who knew in the first 15 mins all that could happen...but of course the acting was amazing I still love Bridal Mask so so much and Poor Katsuyama and his one sided love for RaRa...I think I'll cry the next time I re watch this thinking about how the bromance started :( EPIC ending as usual

Gaksital !!

I said before that i don't mind if characters die if the great cause is accomplished. It may have been a sad episode for everyone, it was emotional most of the time but at the end, we had the most captivating scene ever ! This is a great drama even if the lead male and second lead female end up dead. This kind of ending is logical for this kind of drama.

DAEBAK!

Gaksital always leave me speachless. Just like the epic conlcusion to this great series. So many people died and i can only cry for them. I usually dont like endings full of deaths, but this drama is one big exception. It was really an amazing piece of work and i will give not only to this episode, but to the whole drama 10.

Amazing but really sad

I'm editing this because i have to stop writing reviews on anything after just finishing it, I'm too emotional and i write things i don't mean, After an ending of a show sinks in, i feel i can know how i feel about the ending alot better.
I still have to give this episode a 10, Even though i found Mok Dan's death really heartbreaking and the fact Kang To has to live without her really sad, The episode was still great, Everything was put together really well, And everyones performances in the last episode was great, Although i was happy with how Shunji died, I still think he should of died alot more painful death than that with all the innocent people he brutally tortured and killed, But i really think Park Ki Woong derserves an oscar for this drama though lol. I loved the ending with all the Gaskitals taking back their country :D I just wish Mok Dan was part of it. I definitely will be watching this beautiful drama again but it will be awhile, my heartstrings can't take anymore at the moment lol.
