Seriously better than I expected. I was just looking into the next drama that I would watch since I'm on a CDrama roll

STORY:
Nothing much with the story, it follows Zhou Xiao (Reyi Liu) who is a crime thriller enthusiast and her adventures in university. She particularly likes the manga Detective Conan which is funny to me. She then meets Zhao Fan Zhou (Simon Gong), a forensic science student....how convenient, who harbors a secret crush with the female lead. He is crushing on her because he finds her interesting. It also follows the group of friends they have, the female leads room mates + the male leads room mates which is nothing new with coming of age Chinese Dramas.

ACTING/CAST:
I didn't have much expectations with regards to the cast and them acting out their characters since this is a simple drama so I guess they did their acting justice within the confines of the characters written for them

MUSIC:
Still no iconic OST for me

REWATCH VALUE:
Maybe I'll watch this. Maybe not.

Overall, I love this drama. The plot is cute and fluffy and the conflict is acceptable which is not something too petty. But still can’t beat PYHOMS (for me). And there’s a lot of PYHOMS references too (and maybe ALSB too since I didn’t watch it yet) xD

I really love the bubbly FL, she acted so natural and it doesn’t seem like this is her first time acting in drama. While I kinda hate when the ML acting cold because he looks expressionless. However, he is good when he need to act happy and enjoying the moment. I guess he suit cheerful character better.

A drama with a very weak plot but good screenplay

This drama was pretty good to watch. Not my favourite though. It has a weak plot and a lot of things just don't make sense. Like it's logically just not possible. The story's outline is very very good. But the in depth contents and scenes were good. It's a good drama to watch for time pass but if you're looking for a drama with an interesting story and plot, this might not be it. But I think it was very entertaining. With a good rom-com plot. The acting was very very good I enjoyed the scenes because of the actors cause I think they played really well in their roles. Espeacially the supporting chracters. I loved their stories and it was wholesome. The music though was something I really really liked. I think this drama was worth watching just because of it's OST. I probably tho wouldn't re-watch it. Overall, good Rom-Com but has a weak plot. Although very entertaining to watch.?‍???‍?✍️??

Drama

This was an okay drama. I would rather recommend this to the newcomers who haven’t seen as much dramas and plots. For me the plot was just too obvious but there were some parts that made it interesting. The music was good only sometimes most of the time it was awkward for me and didn’t make that much sense. The acting was pretty good though and even though the story line was similar it was still a good one. I wouldn’t recommend rewatching cause I find it to simple to be watched again but someone of you might like it.

Give it a try for some cute school romance!

Overall it was a good drama, but i don't like when misunderstandings are getting in the way and take so long to be resolved. I liked all the main characters. I loved the cute romance of the main lead couple and the scenes they spent time together! I liked the scenes with the girls in the dorm room and I wished I was a part of their " girl family". I wish the story didn't have this silly misunderstanding at the end, but I am glad that it was resolved. I loved that we had the chance to see their happy ending!

Lovely and bright. Perfect medicine for a rainy day <3

It will not be a long review I'll just point what is great about this series.
1) Great cast. Really nice chemistry between all the side couples, main couple and friends. There is no unbearable annoying or dumb characters. We have a villain but even she is not the vocal point of this series and we won't see her on the screen that often. I like this balance. We meet many characters and we learn about them and their stories along the way but they don't overshadow ZX and ZFZ.
2) I like how we can observe the growth of ZX&ZFZ relationship, we can see every stage clearly meeting-curiosity-the birth of the feeling-courting-dating-spiting-heartbreak-rebonding and also facing their fears-marriage. Along the way they grow as a couple and as a people but they stay true to themselves and their characters. I feel that even thou it is a fluffy and bright drama we have many truths about dating and being in a relationship here.
3) I love how this series touched a few very important topics.
- cheating
- prejudice against woman (that they should not be too forward as they would look like they are "easy")
- mental health
- divorce and familial problems
We should have more of this topics in dramas. I love how their flowery relationship and cheerful friendships were able to balance this heavy topics and so this drama didn't feel gloomy but still those problems were't taken lightly and so they felt reliable.

It was a pleasure to watch this series. Was it the best series? No. But I didn't need it to be so. There is nothing that is perfect in this world and so even more I don't expect this series to be so. I had a good time and I didn't have any cringe/frustrated moments that I felt like I want to turn off my laptop. I had a smile for most of the time on my face. This drama made me happy. So if you feel like you need some sunshine in your life I recommend this series.

Really liked the story of this drama. Zhou Xiao is a very friendly and happy girl who is caring, kind and full of energy. Zhao Fanzhou is your dedicated student that is focused on school, a little reserve and seems detached from people. The two meet by chance and you start seeing how their intersections affect not only their relationship, but those around them. It is a very sweet drama. I really enjoyed watching the progress and changes the characters had as they navigated through school, friendship, relationships and heartache. All the characters face a dilemma, I just wished they had elaborated a bit more on the ending since I felt it left a lot open. If you enjoyed "Put Your Head On My Shoulder" and "A Love So Beautiful" you will enjoy this drama.

For Male Lead

I watched this some time back and just wanted to share my two cents worth.

This drama is fluff and quite cute but the FL didn’t do anything much for me. She came across as fairly dense and at times, slightly annoying. The second ML who was in love with FL was actually cute.

I watched this drama because of the ML. I think he is handsome. I felt that he carried the show well enough and although the show was quite trope-y, it had sweet moments. Watch this drama if you enjoy campus dramas. This drama is fairly light and easy to complete.

My stance is at least 8/10 to be a Good Drama and my verdict for this drama is 7.5/10. It is watch-able but … if you have other dramas that intrigue you more, watch those other dramas first.

SPOILER

Okay so this drama was okay I loved the story and plot so much expect that the fact the female lead's adorable and cute bestfriend didn't get a girlfriend like what?! I thought the girl in his class that seemed to have a crush on him would end up with him but no, they made him a sad character! (Or they did? I forgot) I did rewatch more then half but was lazy to finish the rest,

I do recommend this drama at least it isn't a high school drama my least favorite ones. I don't know what else to write I don't have a major impression on this drama i just thought it was okay, also love Detective Conan.

This is a simple and sweet story of two opposites fall in love with each other.

As the headline says in this drama there is a sweet simplicity.

Zhou Xiao is a girl who lives her life to the fullest and doesn't depend on others for her happiness. Her ideas are weirder than a usual girl but that doesn't stop her from being herself. She is happy the way she is and with love or without it she stands strong. she is every girls dream. Happy and independent.

Zhao Fan Zhou is a shy person who thinks that is a trouble to everyone and tend to keep to himself. He keeps himself busy to stop himself from thinking about things that bother him. With disturbing family issues and an opinion that he doesn't deserve love.

When Fan Zhou meets Xiao he finds her annoying but like a sunlight in his dark world and before he realized he's falling for her. Being his shy himself he tries his best to get and keep her attention. he has Xiao's childhood friend Cai Ya Si as a rival, whom Xiao only see's as a younger brother. Fan Zhou's efforts finally pays off and Xiao also falls for him.

Xiao tends to hide from the feeling of love and Fan Zhou has to sort her out every time she starts avoiding him. Which is insanely sweet. As they fall in love Fan Zhou's family issues catch up leading to a plot twist which results in them breaking up. We see both of them suffering and want nothing more than to clear the misunderstanding between them and bring back the happy love. But you've got to admire how bravely and rationally Xiao gets on with her life after her painful break up .While I want to get inside my laptop and knock some sense into Fan Zhou and tell him to get back Xiao.

And I guess the scriptwriter knows what we all want cause after a year of separation Fan Zhou finally finds out the truth and rushes back to Xiao only to get rejected by her for leaving her and to trusting in her resolve to be with her. And boy she's got a point. But Fan Zhou is not the type to give up and gives his all to win her back. his mother conspires to play her card to get them back together.

Finally they are back together after Xiao vents herself at Fan Zhou.

Xiao and her father's love is something to look forward to. And finally we watch them getting married and having a happy ending.

The best one from the same writer

A love so beautiful, Put your head on my Shoulder, and The Love Equations is written by the same writer.

For me, The Love Equations is the best among the three. The pain that the FL went through was so realistic. It would all pull us back to the time when we first broke our hearts, how we got over it (or thought so), and how we found love again after that tremendous pain. It's not just a fluffy drama. It dealt with young love, how it can be sweet and bitter at the same time.

Prepare to cry a couple of times and feel that as if your heart is being quenched in your chest while watching this drama.

A sweet story about an introverted science sophomore and an outgoing - and slightly out of her mind - literature freshman and a wannabe author who stumble through various mishaps and miscommunications to finally truly finding each other.

It took me a while to get into the drama, mainly because I couldn't get the fact out of my head that Gong Jun was whole 9 years (!!!) older than Liu Renyu even though in the drama itself, they played characters just a year in age apart. Don't get me wrong, Gong Jun truly did look the part, like a 19-year-old student, but I just couldn't get the reality of their actual age gap out of my head.

But, gosh, were they cute. Zhao Fanzhou was so in love with Zhou Xiao, it was precious to watch. And he had the patience of a saint, really. Their story was wonderful to watch - until the moment they got back together after their break-up. Just like in the writer's other drama - Put Your Head on My Shoulder - the conclusion was a miss. It was like she knew very well how to build them up as a couple and then break them apart again but she had no idea how to get them eventually back together and in the last two eps or so she kind of failed to capture their previous cuteness, even though the actors tried really hard with the material they were given. Oh well...

My favorite storyline was Zhao Fanzhou's family arc. His mother's bipolar disorder, his fear that, since it's a hereditary illness, he might fall ill too, his fear of hurting Zhou Xiao, both mentally and physically, if he ever ended up behaving like his mom... Gong Jun absolutely excelled in those scenes! It was amazing to watch and if for no other reason than for this it's a drama worth watching.
