Fab drama, love Cheng Yi's acting!

Love absolutely loved this drama! Everything about it was awesome ! Storyline and script were perfect. The actors performance was great, they were able to convey their characters' emotions and expressions that at times my heart went pitter, patter, at times I laughed and cried and mostly I was totally engaged while watching! I'm new to the C-drama scene and I'm so impressed with the whole production, especially with the the acting skills of Chinese actors! So happy that most dramas have subtitles for international fans like myself!

A Drama you can sink into.

Don't let 59 episodes scare you away from watching this drama. At first i felt it would because I wanted something short to pass the time..
When I started the first episode I instantly wanted to see the next and before I knew it I started a binge.
The drama itself reminds me of a few other Chinese drama I have watched with similar story lines but nonetheless this is its own story and it deserved it's own respect in viewing it unbiased.
I enjoyed the story and much as I enjoyed the characters. There was something in it that I always look for in my dramas and that is character growth.. I don't care if there are filler episodes as long as the character grows by the time the drama gets to where it is going 59 episodes ent that bad.
There is so much I can say but I would say watch it and enjoy it. Give it its own chance even if you feel like its too obvious in some areas.

Five Stars

When my friend told me Love and Redemption was even better than Ashes of Love, I didn't believe her. But after a few boxes of tissues and restless nights, I will have to agree with her. Now that doesn't mean Ashes of Love isn't on my list of favorites, it just moved down a place haha. I just loved the plotline of Love and Redemption so much more! The plot twists were crazy and there were so many times I was shocked at the turn of events. I loved the main cast, especially Xuanji and Sifeng! Their love and unwillingness to give up on each other were so inspiring and heartwarming, it really made me jealous xD. Tengshe was hilarious and a great break from the angst going on and he's my child okay? he's like my baby I will protect forever. The gang was kickass despite the times I wanted to slap them in the face lol. But it's okay I love them all and I'm most likely going to get a huge hangover from this drama. Highly recommend!
