Hino Tetsuya is finally home where he belongs.

I was completely blown away by this episode. As I was for every episode. But I loved the fact that there was so much character development and that Hino Tetsuya (Nishijima Takahiro) eventually caved in the embrace of his friends. I was very surprised though, that after Hino was punched, he acquiesced to following Wataru home and even letting him put on the band aid / plaster for him. It was just too precious and I was pleasantly surprised because it was just so out of character for Hino. I expected him to simply brush Wataru off and stalked off. I expect that the director wanted us to understand the camaraderie between Wataru and each individual characters and also the progression of Hino's (slowly melting) icy exterior.
Also, I loved that Hino managed to garner his father's respect and admiration. All along, it was obvious that he hated being compared to his brother and that he was constantly undermined by his own father. He must have felt horrible and for him to be finally acknowledged by his father obviously meant a lot to him. That scene was very touching, to say the least. It was a wonderful episode and I stayed riveted till the last minute.

Hino saves the day!

Wow!! I cried so much during this episode ;_; I actually didn't expect Wataru's dad to die before the competition :( Just when they started to have some kind of communication... They made a nice parallel between Wataru and Hino and their fathers. I'm glad Hino finally decided not to go alone through everything. And I must say, rhythmic gymnastics is awesome!!! It would have been 10.0 if not for that ambush for Nippori and Kiyama, I know it was needed for Hino to participate instead of K. but those fight loving guyz show up just a bit too often in this drama. LOL
