It hurts, this drama feels like real life

Hello,i have never write an review before but this drama just hit me. I started watching with low expections and just because i like the main lead... The story is good, it is more a heartbreaking thing, the whole time you feel the pain but also the happiness for all of them. I cried a lot because it some things in my live was very simular anf i think, maybe its a good drama to overcome rejection, for me it was. I absolutly love this drama and would recommend this so much, even if its a little slow

I didn’t want to have to give a bad review, but I couldn’t help it.

The story line of this drama was really catchy. I mean I had no expectations but they still managed to disappoint me. This is the first drama where I really dislike the main characters. Everything the male lead did irked me and don’t get me started on the female lead.
Now here’s why I watched this up to episode 7, I was thinking it’ll be a drama where the fl would end up with the one that loves her, being the second lead. I kept waiting and expecting. Hell the first I smiled while watching this drama was when I thought she was finally going to date the second lead. I honestly thought the story would be about them. I decided to check the reviews and saw that it wasn’t going in that direction, so I decided to drop it.
It had potential to be really good, but they had to go ahead and ruin it. The upside is that the rest characters and relationships aren’t so bad.

Just a watchable one..!!

Its more like a complicated love story with so many flaws throughout to the finale Episode. Not the typical style of likable narration but again they done a decent making and sensible justification for the Characters and all may leads this drama to a watchable one. As a big fan of realistic and kind of slice of life melodramas am happy with the way the drama goes , but i felt some dragging in the finale Episodes. The change in the gear kind of feeling and it was so sudden to accept and its so annoying for me bcoz when the male protagonist always mess everything all the time.

Particularly for this drama the story always against the male character even in the beginning also. Lee soo, he was a very bad Character in nature we can see that in the first pace of the drama and the heroin kyong woyoon who always kept her unrequited first love for over ten year now, and the guy she loved wants to stay friend with her even though in this long time of gap (its mentioned in the plot)

There is a big love traingle in the middle but if you look at the female leads point of view it makes sensible. There were also 2 other pairs struggling with their love life. One factor i found good here was even though there is big love traingle in the drama, there was no unwanted over traingle sequence like kisses even jealousy etc, they managed everything under control. I really liked the sixth Episode that beginning animation story which apply to the end of that Episode was really beautiful. The two other pairs was also good . I felt one thing that it probably a much better drama if they concluded everything under 12 Episodes. Because you just unnecessarily pushing Episodes in order to target 16 Episodes, too many dragging and unwanted scenes may occur, i felt that in the finale 3 Episodes. But again ending was beautiful.

Overall more than friends was a watchable romantic drama for me , but again i Watched in between a week gap with 2 Episodes each at the time of it airs, opinion may be different if you are a binge watcher. Give it a try if your interested.. :-)

I never thought I would be able to finish this drama. I went back on this drama three times after being frustrated. I watched Cdramas to lighten up my mood. The problem with KDrama is that the writers think life has so many problems. Problem after problem. I know life is not easy but watching a drama with so many problems is so depressing.
Story-
The issue here is that Lee Soo's misunderstood because he doesn't express himself or open up, I think even when he was dating Woo Yeon he still did not open up. He grew up in a broken family, the reason why he doesn't know how to love. Also, I don't know what to say with Kim Young Hee's 10 yrs of Unrequited love. Should I admire her? Pity her? Or knock her head so she would wake up? Their relationship is so messed up because they do not talk. They call each other so often but do not really talk.
Then another depressing here is the life of Kim Young Hee. Why is her life so hard? I just can't understand the reasoning that you cannot get married if you are so poor or if you're mother is sick. Young Hee does not want to share her burden with Hyun Jae but that's how relationship works. That's why you are partners. I wish to have a partner like Hyun Jae, someone who can love me unconditionally, who loves all my flaws and will always be there even I already gave up.
I cried when Hyun Jae visited her mother in the hospital after they broke up. Then I cried a lot when Young Hee's mom died, then cried again when the 2 friends showed up and comforted her, then Hyun Jae cried.
I love the friendship here, that I am so jealous. I hope I have friends that I can meet after work, can drink if happy or sad. Friends that I grew up with.

Cast
All the casts did well. Maybe I did not drop this drama because of their good acting. There are funny moments that helps me forget the sad part of the drama.

Music
I love the songs. All the songs really suited the drama.

Rewatch
I am not sure if I will watch this again as this drama made me cry so bad. I may not watch it again but for sure I will not forget this drama.

Overall
This could have been better if the writer lessen the issues of the cast.

In an unrequited love with what this drama could've been...

Do you really love the 14-15th episodes of k-dramas when the leads break up and everything is moody and sad? If so, then this drama is for you!
Story: The idea of unrequited love being flipped onto the other person like a curse was actually a nice concept, but there was no evolution. None of the plotlines had much growth in general. The problems the couples had in episode one, were the same problems they had in episode sixteen. It just got old and overly drawn out. The drama had its cute moments and I enjoyed most of it, but I got tired of the same plot every episode.
Acting/Cast: They really did all they could with the script that was given to them. The ML's acting has improved since Moment of Eighteen.
Music: Wonderful
Rewatch Value: Probably not
Overall: Throughout the drama, I felt an indescribable feeling of sadness(?) like I was in an unrequited love too. Kind of depressing and you wonder why they all ended up happy together, but I'm not mad at it. Just a little disappointed with the writers.

Bruh

You must have seen lots of reviews complaining about this drama. I would have to say that I also have the same thought.
The only reason I watched this till the end is Shin Ye Eun. I'm her fan. So if you aren’t one of the actors fan just skip this one.

Not as Bad as Some Say...

I liked this one. I understood why the characters acted the way they did. And, with similar interests (arts) and not really moving from their birthplaces - it is easy to understand why they kept running into each other.

I appreciated his growth. Keeping people at bay his entire life, when he finally admitted to himself that he liked someone - he didn't know what to do. Too much pride to ask anyone and too scared to risk being rejected. Loved his honesty. Her growth was well done. It took her time to get a backbone and start to fight back. To decide not to be a doormat takes time.

The parents? Understandable. Dad finally got it. He thought he had a chance to start over and she thought she was finally set free. I agree they should have divorced sooner. I appreciated the Dad's attempts at reconciliation with the son but, I would have been the same - thanks but, no thanks.

You need a triangle to create tension in the relationships. So, understood why we had the CEO involved. I will be happy to see how these last few episodes go.

Simple and beautiful

There are many different kinds of dramas coming out nowadays and while that's great and exciting, sometimes it's nice to sit back, take a pause and watch something that reminds us of the kind of shows we first fell in love with.
The story is not something new, it's tried and tested and it works, it's beautiful but what makes this drama great for me is the small moments between the leads.
Moments of old friendships with the kind of bond that can only form over time.
This drama is also fast paced so there aren't any dull moments and the OST oh my god I cannot express how much I love the soundtrack <3
Furthermore, the leads look great together and have amazing chemistry.

The direction, music direction, acting, storyline everything put together is just beautiful and makes you feel like you are in love.

love this drama♥♥

I really liked the drama and I don't understand how I didn't see it until now, the drama contains a realistic life story of teenagers and adults, a story of the right timing in the lives of all couples (both the teenagers and the adults, children / parents) the opportunities that are lost due to bad timing, the drama Touches the depths of the soul and touches on issues such as divorce, marriage, relationships between parents and children, love between couples and between parents (what is love - sacrifice is given), friendship, caring feelings and sensitivity to others. Great acting by all the characters. The characters manage to convey to the viewer the spectrum of emotions, from joy to design in a phenomenal way. I highly recommend watching it and reading between the lines of the wonderful script, which is conveyed to the viewer both through the photographer (his photos and photographs) and through the proverbs (calligraphy) she writes on the postcards.
I have only one comment regarding the length of the drama, in my opinion they could have shortened it to 12 episodes and still would not have detracted from the message of the drama, and the plot would not have been damaged.

Everlasting Love

This drama focuses on how a relationship builds on friendship that turns to love. Being in love in schools and how family ties help in shaping the personality of an individual. We can see the youths are struggling in finding love and their own identity. How family background shapes up the stability of the family and sometimes shaken the family relationships due to working conditions.
But at the end of the day, by hard work, loves, and support, they manage to overcome all the troubles.
I love the characters portray. Good job to everybody. Nice Scenery.

Reasons why I dont support the love line between the girl and the male lead character

First of all, I would like to say that I don't have nothing against the actors, and all I'm saying it here it's just about the characters.

Good points:
* The support characteres seems to have a background history and they're showing it to the viewrs in a nice and complete way, what make us understand why they act the way they acts, and it its really a good thing since theyre not there just to be the "support characteres".

* The scenes are well produceds and the takes are good to see, the cinematography its on point.

* The OST its on point.

* All characteres have some line that can be taken as "real life lessons" and its showed thorugt theis personalities and the way they had to solve theirs lives struggles.

Bad points:
* For me the main problem of this drama is about the love line being build in a way where the male lead its a jerk one and the female lead it's almost a submissive one who's exccessively good for that problematic guy.
I mean its already 2020 and I think everyone agree that's there no more time to lose with that "old and cringe" history where the "handsome and rich guy is a jerk one, have no education, its cold, and the poor girl will make him "change" and realize that he likes her, but until he realizes it he'll be a total idiot and treat her like a garbage".
I think almost everyone is aware that it's not a "cute thing" anymore, but instead it's a toxic guy building a toxic relationship, and the way they're putting it like if he's the victim its the worst problem.
They should've put this in a way that the viewers would be able to see that is something wrong, but they're letting he acts like that and at the end he will take the girl, so it wents likes "anyways", it's like the message what they're passing through the drama is: "its okay to be a jerk one, you just need to have a reason to act that way" for the guys, and for the girls like, "its okay to be treated like a garbage because the guy its doing it to you just because he don't knows how to deal with his own feelings, but he likes you, he's acting like a bad guy, but he's a good one, right? you just need to be patient and wait for him to realize that he loves you, you just need to support him and his things and be mistreatened a just a bit more right, you can do it for him right?".
Like what????? no one should be treated as this way, its totally bad to see a woman who works, who do her things to make her live having to be at this situation to "win a guy's heart" its totally wrong.
And the fact that this drama it's already predictable and we already know which one she will be in the end it's making it even worse. The male lead have issues with relationships since his parents marriage was a disaster and he's putting all of his trauma into the others, rather than they're his employes or the girl he "likes", he just has no respect for everyone, and keep wanting the female lead to be next to him, he's not good for her, but he don't want to let her go, he wants her next to him even knowing she's suffering from this kinda of relationship, and when she asked to end the firendshipo he went like "no, I want to keep seeing you", but please, she's not his psycoologist or something like this, if hes not ready for love its okay, but he should let her go, and live her life as well.

Tired, old trope and I don't have time for that.

So, i gave this drama 2 chances. episode 1, then episode 2. I'm not interested in seeing anymore because we all know how it's going to end.

Neither of the 2 leads are likeable.

This entire show is just a case of drawing it out with pointless drama, when we all know the pushover FL is going to end up with the jerk she's had a crush on since she was a schoolgirl. This drama gives me "fake deep" vibes.

You know, its kinda try hard? Like it WANTS to be a really deep, maybe profound romance thing, thats like deep, but thats kinda hard to take seriously when the FL's been pining over a stupid highschool crush for more than 10 years. Like wth? Girl, its been a whole decade. Move on? And the ML is an asshole and I can't get behind him lmao.

it took me 10 seconds to see the second male lead and instantly realize i was going to get second-lead syndrome. the second male lead could have been an entire light post and the same thing would happen ;-; that's how hard it is to root for any of these characters.

Anyways, this entire "relationship" is just toxic, the story is going to be the most painful, excruciatingly long CHORE of a drama to finish; and I don't have time for that :) dramas should NEVER turn into a chore for me to dread watching. I'll keep my light-hearted do do sol sol la la sol tyvm. This can stay on the shelves :)

tl;dr nothing that's already been said about this (in all the other low rating reviews) is any different from what i'm sayinG. I just wrote this review anyways, because a 8.0 rating is lowkey deceptive. this drama isn;t worth anyone's time :/ Good production quality and a decent OST can't save bad writing. This is the old, tired trope of childhood friends to lovers, only executed in the nastiest way possible. Hard pass.
