This dram is like a small poetry. Please read and enjoy

beautiful drama. Cute as well as mature one. This drama beautifully depicts the fact that every persons perspective towards life and priorities changes according to our age. But love remains same.
The actors matched with each age category from 17 to 36 ! when this drama revolves around each age.Acting is so natural. Both main leads did their best.

I was expecting a heart breaking ending. But soo happy after watching climax. YAY! happy ending!

This is short and sweet.I would have like it if this drama has more episodes also

The OST tho

Love the story and how the writer tells em', as if it was a diary, yet it doesn't make it seem hasty.
The metaphor they use (the line on the sidewalk) is beautiful.
They're able to make the viewers relate to the story and able to play with the viewer emotion well, (i personally love eps. 3 & 4). They're able to make the viewer relate to the character and be mad, happy and sad for em'.
IDK HOW but it feels like they got a new ost for every eps.
The actors are able to express the character well, in their sad, happy or desperate emotion.

Bittersweet and lovely

Okay, so this drama was excellent in my humble opinion.

The story is slow and realistic, not like other dramas at all. It's about these two characters that meet once and quite immidiately find chemistry. Ito Akira is handsome and cool but not a bad guy at all, just sort of diligent and polite. Nishi Yuuki is very young-minded and brutally honest with himself, which is all but new to Ito.

Ito's main issue is communication, both to others and to himself. He does what his parents think is best; trying to fit in with society and be as normal as possible, which eventually leads to some pain for both main characters. It's his personal intrigue to learn to stand up for himself. As for Nishi, he is quite shy and sensitive when it comes down to it, but he knows what he wants and doesn't let other people tell him what he is. He is himself.

Throughout the series, the characters go through different dilemmas that any couple would. It's more about life in general than specifically BL.

There is a sweet cameo in the last episode, too, from another BL drama, so that was a blessing to see.

Like I said, the story is not intense but realistic so if you like slice of life, this is definitely for you.

Such a serious and sweet drama, I've rewatched it a couple of times just because it makes you feel at ease and warm inside. :-)

One of the Best Mini Series Adaptation from the Manga

This Series story is great although i havent read the Manga. It captures common dilemma of human development with being gay centers of it all. The story is not complicated and the story is clear and precise.
The Cast is great. The acting of both Yuki and Akira is on point and doesnt have cringy type. The smile of Akira is magnetic equally beautiful with Yuki.
The Music is even more great as it really captures the scenes. I even played them on my Spotify playlist and raping the replay button.
There is an easter egg in the last part wherein HIStory 3 Cast was with them.

Overall i am watching this over and over again as i have rewatched HIStory Series.

Why are all the good dramas the shortest ones?

I am grateful and relieved that Japanese dramas and live actions have shown a considerable improvement in terms of acting lately.

Disclaimer: My thoughts are from someone who hasn't read the manga.

This may be a short one, but it was one of the best written BL dramas I've seen coming out from Japan. There isn't anything that I could call memorable, but you know what? I ain't even mad about it because this story didn't need anything memorable. It is a simple, yet beautiful journey through the life of two men who happen to fall in love with each other.

I enjoyed seeing how homosexuality was portrayed in the story; it felt more natural, more "real," and not over the top like some other dramas try to shove on your face sometimes. The best part was showing the ups and downs of being in a gay relationship in Japan, but represented in a way that many of us in other countries can relate to.

All in all, this is a drama worth adding to your must watch list. The story and its characters will touch your heart enough to make you want to rewatch it.

Best Japanese BL Thus Far!

I was excited to watch this as it was Viki's second original BL after the commendable 'Where Your Eyes Linger.' Watching the first episode, I thought that this series was kinda weird but also kinda cute. With its two leads meeting one another by walking on a painted line on the side of the road, it kinda reminded me a bit of Your Name in a way. Their relationship does seem a bit too rushed. Like Ito went from struggling with his feelings for another guy to holding hands with Nishi in public. It is understandable though as the series is only 4 episodes long, so the creators had to really rush their relationship. Either way, I'm excited to watch the next episode!

Episode 2 was also adorable! The relationship did feel rushed as the story makes several time-jumps, but it does work. It feels like a montage of important moments in their relationship. I was surprised that Nishi didn't feel comfortable with kissing and that he needed time to prepare, which made me wonder if he had some kind of trauma in his childhood. Of course, he could just be someone who needs to prepare for those moments and I may be overthinking it. However, Ito was able to acknowledge Nishi's fear and I loved how the consent was played out! (Tharntype should take note lol). On a side note, I wonder how the girl at the end of the episode will affect Nishi and Ito's relationship.

Episode 3 was also good though quite sad. I wonder if Akira is bisexual or if he is actually gay, but denying his feelings in favor of a 'normal' relationship. I feel for Yuki who deserves better, especially since Akira was the one who pursued Yuki in the first place all those years ago. Hopefully, this series will have a happy ending. I've heard that the manga does have a happy ending. I wonder if the series will also have a happy ending.

Episode was so good! Akira divorcing his wife because he can't take pretending anymore. Akira standing up to his strict, traditionalist mother was inspiring! Akira trying tirelessly to find Yuki but is unsuccessful until he goes to Alaska and comes across Yuki, which was cheesy yes, but it made sense. I loved the ending montage which showed the mother embracing her daughter's international marriage and her son's gay relationship, which showed that parents can change and learn to accept their children. A baby would have been perfect at the ending. Like a baby sleeping in between Yuki and Akira with the close-up of their rings. That would have been so good! Especially since Akira wanted to have a child and broke down when he saw his ex-wife with a baby. By including a baby, the show could have showed that gay couples can have children and be a family. I wished that they did that. Either way, this was an engaging, touching story of the reality of gay love, discoring it, struggling with it and finally, accepting it!

True life love story...

This drama real,y touched on a little about everything that goes in every day life.

I thought the actors did a phenomenal job. The conveyed there emotions very well, there was no awkwardness at all, i could feel there love for each other. For only 4 episodes i felt they really did a fantastic job, of keeping to the story, it flowed through really well and time and age clock you were able to see how they progressed and grew together, for me personally I would have love to see yuki not give in so easily to akira and let him try to feel his pain of what he went through, guess love does conquer all.

The story wa3 fantastically portrayed. I loved the concept of showing sign8ficant timesand events from different periods of their lives.

The music was not that good but it was listenable.

In the end everyone has they own life to live, no matter how they choose to live it, and with who ever they choose to. Society famiky and friends shoukd not have say and for me the guilt trip that parents in general throw at there children to live a certain way is so very wrong.

Overall this drama was really awesome

Japan's big step into Real LGBT relationships.

Okay I can't praise this mini series enough. I've seen a lot of Japanese BL and they've always left me with more to be desired, leaning heavily on the drama and heartache than actual love. This though. It was so beautiful. The relationship was natural and healthy. Even the actual "drama" part felt real and true to life and hurt me like hell.

Story - The story is simple but told in such a beautiful way. Yuki and Akira meet while both eighteen and the story follows their relationship through the highs and lows. It explores the anxiety and pressure from family an individual can face in a same sex relationship, something I could relate to very well. Loving someone so much it scares you is something real and it can hurt and this drama shows that in a way that really just guts you. Honestly I have not felt so connected to drama in such a long time, I love it.

Actors - The actors were amazing. Whoever did casting was spot on because every single actor delivered. There wasn't a single moment that felt forced or over acted, and for once a bl drama didn't demonize or villainize any of the female characters. The two male leads had chemistry so it was really never awkward or cringey watching them interact, they played their characters professionally and didn't over do the scenes. Akira's sister was honestly my favorite character, she was supportive from beginning and honestly just wanted her brother to live his life freely, I LOVED HER and she was barely on screen. Yuuki's mom as well just made me feel so happy and just really good about myself and she was in ONE episode, but hey it's a short series so. Over all the acting was superb.

Music - I mean the opening has been stuck in my head since watching the series. The music in general was appropriately timed and didn't take the scene over. The songs added meaning to the scenes that they accompanied. Over all good series Score.

Rewatch Value - 100%. This will be at the top of my list for recommendations when ever a friends asks for a new series to jump into.

The only down fall to it is that it's short but please don't let that stop from falling into. Its beautiful.

MUST WATCH!

I'll keep this very short cause there isn't much to say about this show other than the fact that it's so wholesome.

I personally feel so happy and fluffy after watching it, I absolutely loved it. The only drawback is that it is way too fast-paced and I wish there was more.

So if you are a supporter of the LGBTQ+ community or if you are a Fujoshi or a Fudanshi, just watch it. It is super short and even if you end up not liking it, at least you have given it a try and didn't waste much time.

I first saw the trailer on Rakuten Viki before it was released and was curious to see what kind of Japanese BL drama got released worldwide on Viki. It was based on manga, so I went and read the manga first, which turned out to be a very good one.

STORY
It follows the story of two high-school students, Ito Akira and Nishi Yuuki who meet on the sidewalk white line they follow when going home from school. Akira is a serious and diligent person who is expected by his parents to live "normal ordinary life" like everyone else, meaning graduate, find work and settle down. He is drawn to Yuuki, who is carefree and child-like. The story follows their journey from high-school, university like and working life. The story is quite realistic in the way it portrays the circumstances of couples who have been in relationship for quite long, their issues and not to mention, problems related to same-sex couples. Both are pressured by their families and society to get married and settle down. The drama portrays this quite realistically.

ACTING
Both actors (Shirasu Jin and Raiku) are not very well-known actors, but Shirasu has been playing supporting roles for quite a lot of times. I have to say that Shirasu's acting has largely supported this drama, he is very good in expressing emotions with his eyes and facial expressions. I was quite touched a number of times with his acting, I really think he has a lot of potentials. On the other hand, I couldn't really feel Raiku's acting. He is supposed to be child-like, but I didn't feel that charm coming out from him. So most of the part, I kind of ignored him and just focus on Shirasu's acting. And ugh, his hairstyle is really weird, even for me who have been watching J-drama for the longest time, it still doesn't sit well with me :(

In overall, it is still a very good and decent BL drama, with good production, good story and good directing, far better than a lot of other BL dramas, it is worth watching!

I read the manga and watched the series.

I read the manga and watched the drama and i dont understand why people dont like this. Meh your opinion i guess.

Me personally loved this drama and it will always remain a very special drama to me.

The manga was just amazing but the drama to me was just equally amazing... I could really find a flaw the acting the osts the story everything seemed perfect to me.

I would most definetly rewatch it again whenever i watch. This is definetly a must watch. Its too good to miss out on.

Simply Sweet!

I can't imagine not giving this show 9/10 or higher. The production was beautiful, acting was great, awesome chemistry and the music was fire (I never care about music). It's not angsty, but it has a unique time skip in only a few episodes. It's really short, so there is no reason not to give this a shot. I am a huge fan of the manga and all things yaoi, but for me this didn't disappoint. I hope to see more wonderfully done Japanese BL dramas. I find Yuki's hair to be a little silly throughout, but it makes him all the more charming/awkward. There are many levels and layers to this show, so it was a nice unpacking through the years.
