Failed british black comedy

Too many cooks spoil the soup! Well, here we can say, too many plotlines, spoil the drama.

The original idea is good: a kind of black comedy crime drama. It had a nice british feel to it. And I love all things Agatha Christie. But here you have Poirot, Miss Marple and Tommy & Tuppence all in one drama. And that turned out to be too much for me. Everything started with the unlikable main couple! And went downhill from there.

She is a cold famous borderline psycho crime writer. Her husband is a sleazy lawyer, simpering around her and at the same time cheating on her. Do not misunderstand me, I do not mind the cheating plot lines since they give a bit of a drama to a drama.

So there is adultery, murders, corruption, chaebol heir and heiress, quirky policemen, NIS agents, politicians, secret room mystery, drug trafficking, domestic abuse...too many not to lose interest! It was really all over the place which is a disappointment because on the paper it looked promising.

The writer goes from being an interesting character with her cold and uncaring attitude to a scary and freaky (literally EVERYONE shakes in fear in front of her!) one to a normal human with her history shaping her. But in spite of all her intelligence and perspicacity, she does not see what is right in front of her. Her husband had developed a sophisticated system in order to erase all trace of his adulterous behaviour.
The music is there, loud screeching strings underlying the "dramatic but not too serious though maybe yes!" plot. I have a feeling it is going to give me nightmares.

It had taken me a long time to complete it but I gave it a chance and by the time I decided to drop it, I realized I had two episodes left. So I finished it. They managed to wrap everything up nicely with a bow on top but it felt really rushed! Well they did introduce too many plotlines involving too many characters we never really cared about!

I just finished this drama. I liked the actors, especially Cho Yeo-jeong. Also the music was good and the humor was a bit different and I liked it!
However the story wasn't really that good. As a fan of murder mysteries I felt like there was so much potential but the ending seemed quite rushed. Also there were too many plot holes for my liking. Many things that they had built didn't make sense at the end. Also the pace of story telling was sometimes slow.
This might be unpopular opinion but I found the last scene brilliant, even though I hoped that FL would have confronted her husband.

A Very Interesting Drama!!!!!

This drama is a very interesting drama containing many different plot twists and amusing side stories that you can cherish . Unfortunately , this drama doesn't contain romance but is fully packed with mystery and suspense that keep you wanting to continue watching the drama . It's not like an average revenge drama nor a simple law series with a repetitive story and plot , it is quite a unique drama . From my personal opinion this drama is a must watch. In simple words it's just different from other dramas and has a refreshing plot/story . Skipping this drama because of it's low rating would be a foolish mistake, this drama is way better that drama's with dragged and repetitive stories. My advise would be that you shouldn't miss this drama. Just give it a try and watch it, if it seems boring after a few episodes just drop it , but just give it one try. I hope this helps review helps convincing you to watch this drama ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Pretty fun to watch but a bit frustrating

Kang Yeo Joo is portrayed to be a really clever person, but she cannot figure out how her husband is cheating on her. This was the thing that frustrated me the most. How could she not see the clues? At first, I thought she ignored them on purpose, because she loved Han Woo Sung, but after a while I realized she didn't knew. How?! Yeo Joo noticed the smallest things in Mr. Ma's publishing house that made her realize he's not a real publisher, but she couldn't figure out that Woo Sung was with multiple women and with some very obvious clues?? That made me feel really dissapointed, I expected she'd figure it out sooner.

At times the story felt like it was being dragged and in the last two or three episodes a lot of stuff happened, not ending the story properly enough in my opinion. What actually was the Secret Prayer Room? ( I have a vague idea of what is it about, but they made it seem such a big deal and there wasn't so much information given about it, guess it'll remain a big secret for me haha) Did she actually kill her husband? I mean, it was a really big deal for her, so I assume she did, but after finding out more about Yeo Joo, she doesn't seem the type to do such thing. Why did she keep so many poisonous flowers in her garden if not to use them lol?

To be honest, I wish she was the villain she was portrayed to be, it would have been more interesting, but still, she was a complex character. I wish her and Soo Ho would have ended up together lol. Woo Sung was a really interesting character as well, even if he was a liar and a cheater, at some points I was rooting for him.

With all of those complaints though, I still gave the series a high rating. It was funny, entertaining and it kept me hooked up. I was curious to see what was going to happen next and who actually killed the actress. I would have never guessed the real killer so props to the writer to that! It was a bit of a strange kdrama, but I enjoyed watching it. If you like to watch mystery dramas, this is for you! The cast was wonderful, the acting was on point and I loved the music!

Good story building but Bad wrapping up at the End

The story was quite intriguing at the beginning with all characters in their rightful state...but at the end like almost most of the questions were left unanswered and kept us hanging.
It was a bit boring in the middle and forced me to skip little parts and the reveals were done in a very paced manner ... so, I didn't get to enjoy the reveals much...
Also there are many loopholes as mentioned by others too.
First, the setting of character of Kang Yeo joo.. She was portrayed to be so meticulous yet couldn't catch up with her husband's cheating despite so many things to suspect.
Second, NIS... The way this organization was portrayed with the higher-ups having connection with the political leaders.... Aren't they supposed to be completely independent of the political parties as this kinds of organizations handle national security matter?
Third, Kang Yeo Joo was seen framing big stories with like the tiniest evidence... Isn't that a little impractical?
The best part which I liked was Cha Soo Ho ... His every action was justified and how was unconsciously getting attracted to KYJ despite suspecting and hating her so much.

Aproveitando a chance quero desabafar aqui...
