Good Enough
Chinese Drama " Mysterious Love " is a short action-packed drama, with two well-handled couples.What strikes as a refreshing note right from the start is the female lead. She is not the almost classic naive cutie who gets some dynamic scenes here and there. Rather, she was quite mature and all together, a nice combination as she had to handle a possessive and almost pathological jealous partner. The latter was a soldier material through and through, with a tough exterior and a weakness for his loved ones. As for the second couple, they were both adorable, but the girl was too much when it came to chasing the guy.
The mystery, in addition, was okay, though it was overshadowed by the flashbacks, that should have been better handled, as they ended up being a bit messy. The action scenes were on point though.
Finally, the performances were enjoyable by everyone in the cast, but, especially, the little girl.
So, overall, eight out of ten.

Quick Fun Ride
This is the first time I feel a drama was underrated. Did it not do well domestically? I think it could be an easy 8.5 on MDL.FL was actually able to hold her own, was honest with herself and others, and was smart. Even when she didn't know the big picture, her danger senses started tingling at the same time of our super soldier ML.
The ML did a great job of trying to be the ultimate guardian for everyone in his life. Also the looks he gave the FL....oh my (*blush*). He was not afraid to make sure she knew he was smitten with her and wanted her not just as a partner but WANTED her.
I thought it was paced well and didn't drag. Glad they let it be 16 episodes so there wasn't a ton of filler. If you want something quick with almost 50/50 thriller/romance definitely give this a go! It's just fun!

All you need to know about "Mysterious Love":
1. Great chemistry between the main leads. Their love is quite wholesome, also there's a fair share of fluffy moments2. The plot isn't draggy and there's indeed some mystery around the antagonist
3. Flashbacks are a nice touch and complement the story just well
4. Side stories are done well. Compelling but do not drag the attention away.
5. The theme song is superb
6. 8 episodes x app. 30 minutes - perfect length for binge-watching
Characters:
I think the cast was well selected. The FL is cute, the ML is definitely dashing. They make the classic match. She's nice and trusting, but not a doormat. She believes the male lead but does not let him walk all over her. The ML does have his moments of love-duty hesitation, but is overall wholesome. There's a satisfying amount of fluffiness ;)
The secondary couple was ok. The antagonist did a nice job, too.
Story:
What is so "mysterious" about the story? 1. The way the leads met. 2. Who's the bad guy. Is there more than one? If yes, who is the mastermind? It's not god knows what, but it does keep your attention until the end.
Music:
The OST wasn't particularly memorable. But the theme song definitely did the job.

I'm giving it an eight only because of "the couple moments". (Again congratulations to Yilia Yu and Tsao Yu Ning for the nice job!)

setup is amazing .cast ,ml,fl ,second lead villain every thing is worth watching
tbh I really loved it ,idk why this drama is having some bad reviews but I enjoyed it throughout.there is only one reason I didn't gave 10 stars and that is,there are a lot of deleted scenes which are available on YouTube but not on Viki.there is some suspense ,thril,l sweet romance but it's really really worth watching.if you are a true drama addict then you can even finish this drama within a day .the story begins showing the fl waiting for his beloved Lee and not sure as if he is alive or not .she encounter a blind date with Li teng who she believed is Lee but trying to hide his identity.both had faced an incident 5 years ago and developed so heart. fluttering feeling for each other which rekindle after meeting each other after five years .the fact is Lee which is now li teng was more desperate to meet nian ruanchu (fl )but because of her safety he stays away from her .Was this review helpful to you?

What A Great Surprise !!!!!!!!!!
What a surprise of a drama! At first I was reluctant to watch it because I thought it will be the usual bad boy who the girl hates at first and then turns good. it was nothing like that. The adventure starts from the first episode to the last and the romance also. Has to be one of the most romantic drama I have seen. I tip my hat to the writer of this story very good. I finally see a drama that the characters act like they really like each other. The actors did a great job on their performance. Especially both main lead female and male characters. these characters were real adults, not afraid to love or make decision. The female characters did not fling back when ever the male character came near them. In realistic if you are in love with someone you would not be afraid when they wanted to kiss you. These characters kiss and it was a real kiss not just the touch of the lips. That make a great acting performance and these actors sold it to me and they were great. The adventure goes thru al the episode and I even enjoy the little push and pull game that the main characters play. Which usually it is not my favorite. The female characters in this drama are my kind of women. Strong, Independent, and they know what they want and will get it. I love how the only obsess female character in the drama tries to pull a fast one on the lead female character to make her jealous and she tells her right off "I know you plan this and is not going to work." takes her man and leaves with him. I thought that was great. I love that they did not make it extra long and loose the focus on what the story was about. The chemistry was seen in every episode with all the characters. Soo annoying male lead. Yet another disappointing drama
I started watching this drama because it has only 16 episodes with 30min duration so that I can finish this even if I get frustrated by any characters, but still I couldn’t because the male lead is so annoying or sadistic. When the FL lead loved him he wants to break up with her because he is dangerous for her but after when she seriously broke up with him he wants to stay with her, he wants to persue her. The main sadistic or psychopathic is he couldn’t tolerate when she sits with other male colleagues or with any blind dates. During the blind dates sitting with them in the same table is really intolerable. I don’t know who on earth likes this kind of sadistic ML character, or why the Chinese director’s prefer only this kind of character’s because I am not seeing only in this drama, maximum of Chinese dramas ML character are like this way only.The only appreciable thing is the, the way he looks and smiles the ML is best suited for this sadistic part.

the best drama I've ever watch
tbh I'm not the type of person to always watch movies or dramas but once I watched them, they were really great. the same as this drama right here. I thought it was going to be another cliché drama which I don't mind actually but this storyline is kinda something new to me. it just catches my eyes when I just wanna take a look at it. now I'm watching them without skipping. like I said I don't really watch movies or dramas but I'm telling yall are not gonna regret watching this series literally. the ML and FL have such great chemistry and I'm loving every single moment they had. the FL characteristic is just perfect like I've been looking for this kind of FL for a long time. I'm rooting for her. nothin much to say bout ML cuz he makes my jaw drops ya know. he is a total of 100/10. overall, great storyline, great chemistry, great actor/actress, great acting, and such a great drama.Was this review helpful to you?
enjoyable, but not that good
First of all, the sypnosis seems a bit misleading. Li Teng doesn't seem to have high EQ. But that's not that important.As someone who loves romance and mystery, I was excited to watch Mysterious Love as it had a lot of good reviews. And the first few episodes were enjoyable, even though the supporting characters were really annoying and unlikable at times (mostly).
But the last episodes that I have watched are probably the reason with the second reason being annoying supporting characters, especially the SFL and that kid.
The FL and ML's relationship is supposed to be something passionate, warm and caring, but I was unable to feel these feelings when they met after five years. The feelings of longing wasn't potrayed that well by both the actors and the story didn't seem help. Despite, both the main cast did a pretty good job.
The supporting casts, considering how shallow their characters seemed, did a decent job, except that at times, they just felt like emotionless robots to me.
All the characters had a good potential, except the SFL and that kid. But they weren't that fleshed out, nor was the story. The story had such a good potential, but all that ended up being is just the male chasing after the female and making his character unlikable to the point, he became one of the reason I am dropping it.
The music was pretty good. Nothing awesome. The usual C-drama OST or background music.
Mysterious Love only has 16 episodes and the story is nothing serious, so it seems like an easy watch drama.

For those looking for a more mature romance...
Wow. I'm not sure where to begin... I typically go for more playful comedic romance dramas but this one looked more mature and boy did it deliver. It had little laughs throughout along with heart wrenching and heart melting moments.For those looking for a more mature romance with skinship, this is the romance drama for you. I decided not to give this drama the full 10 stars only because I wish we would have seen a bit more back story. There are holes in the story from the past that I would have liked to hear or better yet seen played out. I have questions and need answers! (Can a girl get a Season 2?)
Overall though I really enjoyed this drama and very happy I took a chance on it. Also, it's only 16 episodes so it's a quick and enjoyable watch that could have easily had another 4 or so episodes.

Unique surprising beautiful story..highly recommended
Like Love of Replica, you really love the story and the ending always made you surprise and that can make you smile and love more the stories. The ML & FL played their roles at best..all casts truly played their roles so well.With Love of Replica and Mysterious Love this makes me look forward more movies/series of Tsao Yu Ning.
Unlike others C-drama, the story has its own essence and uniqueness, intellectually written, and as story unfolds, the unpredictable series of events surely kept you on hook to watch . Full of suspense, and unpredictable series of events but you fall in love in between.
The timing of the theme songs are perfect.
Very highly recommended..it never waste your time..i

So Mid.
I had to force myself to finish this... with 2 times speedStory: I watched the beginning and would have loved their first meeting/history. I wish there could be a whole drama dedicated to just that meeting. I think the beginning is what is carrying my story rating. The FML was kinda annoying at times, like how she kept following him around (I just found her rlly clingy). Also the way the FML doesn't trust the ML. She is always believing others. And the story was rlly predictable. I just knew the doctor guy was going to be a bad guy. Also, why did no one question his existence as a nurse/doctor or whatever? I thought it was very hard to get into medical school or whatever. Also, given that he was practically raised on an island, does no one question how he learned/got the resources to attend? Don't get me wrong, I am all for moving up, but when someone from the past comes back, does no one question anything???
I knew the second FML was going to be... a b*tch and clingy. I also just knew how the FML would be absolutely useless and get herself kidnapped/used. The story tried so hard to be unique but was so stereotypical. Like the fact that the biggest nuance about this show was their first interaction and history together. I don't think I have ever watched a show like that. But by the end, it followed every single drama plot out there: kidnapped + useless FML, ML abs, annoying second FML, hidden child (second couple), ML ignores FML first, and that is all that I can think of off the top of my head.
I also found the second couple to be more entertaining than the FML.
Acting/Cast: I don't feel that their interactions were outstanding and I wasn't convinced the ML actually liked the FML. ML had nice abs though.
Music: Nothing special. Doesn't stand out.
Rewatch Value: I don't rewatch unless its exceptional. This is no exception.
Overall: Mid
