10/10 - aggressively competitive and comedic yet sweet way only Bad Buddy knows best how to

Basic synopsis: Two kids who grew up with families that hate each other are forbidden to be friends end up realizing they can’t be just friends.....**REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS**This is a series that really surprised me seeing as I had zero expectations. Nevertheless, I never expected to love this series as much as I did. As a new BL fan, I was on a mission to watch the classics. I’ve heard everywhere how much people loved this series, and after finally finishing - I can’t help but agree. As a fan of My School President (of which is under the same network-GMMTV), Bad Buddy gave me the same indescribable wholesome and “pulling at the heartstrings” feeling I loved from MSP but with so much more angst and yearning. What I love in a haphazard order ( apologies, this is my first public review):-Fast-paced, pacing is immaculate - every scene felt necessary-No problem or plot point felt stupid/unnecessary-None if few scenes were cringy-As an avid “scene forwarder” (I’m looking at the travesty that is “Step by Step” (2023)), I instead found myself repeating scenes because they’re just that GOOD! I found myself absolutely CHEESIN’ over how cute they are / how sweet the moment is. We get them early on and consistently in the series, keeping each episode engaging-Even for sadder scenes, each were achingly beautiful / well-written dialogue / both Ohm and Nanon’s eyes and facial expressions were so much LOUDER than any of the yelling / screaming they do (see: iconic ending of ep 4 / their first sleepover)-I’m here for the slowburn and the absolutely well-executed ANGST. I also love the tropes where one is sulking and the other is doing everything in their power to have the other talk to them which not only increases the tension but helps you understand the character even better. These are tropes are something Bad Buddy have made me realize that I love across all media platforms whether they be books or series/movies-The characters are so well done. I’ve seen many other reviewers point this out:--Pat as an architecture major is an over thinker and catastrophizer, a bit of a neat freak--Pran is an engineering major, a “go with the flow” kind of guy, a bit impulsive, and kind of adorably annoying--So the way they both reacted at the viral ending of EP 5 was so true to their character and inevitably foreshadows the future episodes-The unexpected first kiss scene very early on in the series was a cinematic masterpiece, I can't even describe how much I loved it-Every time the actor was emotional, I find myself aching and laughing along with them. I don’t even realize it - it just hits me straight in the feels without trying-Overall, I think there is a genuine love and chemistry there that other series find difficult to capture AND successfully execute. Bad Buddy is able to do so flawlessly.-I know this is a low bar - but I never felt for a moment that any of these actors were acting. Every scene immersed and surprised me from beginning to end-I have NEVER EVER laughed my ass of at an ENDING of a series before. It encapsulated the dynamic of their relationship and this series as a whole - the aggressively competitive and comedic yet sweet way only Bad Buddy knows best how to![END]

Two Stars

hmmm what to say - yeah more fluff and yet very disappointing - so the genius solution is lying? to EVERYONE?!? yeah secret love affairs r fun - exhilarating with all the need to hide and not get caught. but who can live like that 24-7 for yrs on end?!? and their parents suddenly softening after 4 yrs is another plot-hole. so for 20 yrs they held their grudges dearer then their own kids, but after 4 more yrs they said "ok, had enough. let's live and let live..."?!? guess believable. **************************************************************************************************************************************************************************this had a ton of potential - the script was more or less written for the writer (whether taken from Romeo and Juliet or the Thai folklore) they only had to modernize it and change the genders of the main's - and this is what we got?!? others call this perfect - this far from... a Lot of fluff n cute moments, a kiss or too, tons of innuendo's - naked guys or guy rubbing against one another, so this perfect?!? guess only i think this was ok. *************************************************************************************HAD A Ton of potential as both actors did a good job delivering lines (even if i didn't really like Pran from start to finish) as he kept acting like he needed to be pursued, and fought Pat almost until the last moment, before he gave in - and this a grand love story/BL everyone praising? just F.Y.I Romeo and Juliet were justified in acting like brats, cause they were both 16 and13 - angsty teens. how old was Pran??? so yeah this HAD potential and it didn't live up to the hype - but hey i'm used to being the one that is odd. this was fine and wont say was bored but this not perfect oh well

What a way to end one of the best series that ever existed

Just brilliant. Pat and Parn always shows us what a healthy relationship looks like. This was the best last episode period.

It’s Not What You Think !

When watching the episode you think it’s going in a certain direction and than it surprises you, but in a different style on how it changes route. Defiantly a good ending for this series. It shows the relationship they have is their business and no one else’s

Favorite Episode

I think out of everything I've seen, this is by far my favorite episode. The acting felt so natural and real, and Pat and Pran's ending was satisfying. I wasn't sure about that huge time jump, but I think it worked in their favor. I still would've liked to see that parents know full-heartedly about their relationship and be okay, instead of them being full-grown adults and still having to hide it. the storyline of Ink and Pa wasn't as much as I wanted it to be, but I'm decently satisfied with them. I wish we could've just seen their relationship a bit more. As for Wai and Korn, they never happened, they were more of like an inside joke, which I don't mind. Overall, a very nice episode. I'm excepting the best out of GMMTV from now on with two very successful and pleasing BLs (ATOTS and BB).

Life goes on

An episode that plays with the viweres, but it is exactly what I would expect from the pat and pran of the show.. these are the same people since the beginning and they remained the same for their love. I loved it, loved it. And I will never ever forget this show.

Wonderful ending

It is unlike other endings i've watched so far. I appreciate the effort made by the cast and crews to create such an intricate ending. Previously I was worried if it's a sad one. This drama projects nothing but positive vibes. Theirs is a very healthy relationship. Pat and Pran knew their parents aren't going to change their minds so soon about them seeing each other but neither are they willing to break off. Why would they right? Like Pran said to his mother, does he have to be responsible for her feelings? However, neither are they willing to cause them pain and so...everything should be under the radar. Sure enough, in time, their parents started to accept what is. I believe each bl dramas that I have watched has its own attractions and beauty. Bad Buddy Series sure has its own uniqueness. I believe that chemistry between Ohm and Nanon is one reason why Pat and Pran's character came to life. Every facial expression was realistic. And so it was enjoyable to watch.

IT IS QUITE A TITLE

I did not expect the twist. When I saw the backstory scene, I simply realized... so that's why it is entitled "Bad Buddy"... Congratulations P' Aof!
