Just okay.

The latest episode of The Uncanny Counters was just okay. Although I enjoyed Na Joek Bong unlocking his new power that would be able to make him stand out, like the others, I found him to be a bit irritating throughout the rest of the episode, when he started to have this cocky attitude that emerged after he discovered his power. I understand how powerful it can feel for a person after they have discovered something that makes them special, but I don't like how it goes to their heads. In season 1 Mun discovered a new power, and he didn't have this cocky attitude. Another thing that made me skeptical was Mo-Tak expressing his desire to step down. He's been my favorite since I watched season 1, and I couldn't imagine the show progressing without him. Thankfully, Mrs. Chu came to the rescue and knocked some sense into him, but that doesn't stop my worrying about his exit from the show. That is pretty much all I disliked about this episode. I love how the element of danger is present from the moment the villains appear on screen, to the moment they exit. The season so far did an excellent job of building up the suspense, adding to the over all intensity of the episode. The villains being able to absorb and use the counters powers, is in aintriging concept that adds an extra layer of complexity to the battles. Seeing them struggle to combat the evil spirits made for some exciting scenes. Ha-na's fighting skills were particularly impressive in this episode. She was a force to be reckoned with. The counters new hideout and outfit change was a really nice touch, especially the new black hoodies over the red ones. Although the red hoodies will always be iconic. The show's ability to create empathy for the fireman character was also noteworthy. Losing his wife and child and becoming so consumed with rage made for a tragic storyline. It will be interesting to see how his possession will play out over the rest of the season. Overall, this episode was enjoyable, and i am looking forward to seeing what the show has in store for the future. i am hoping that the upcoming episodes,, will have more standout moments like we saw in this one. ''The uncanny Counter'' is shaping up to be an addictive and thrilling series that is definitely worth watching. Seasons 1 and 2. Even though I believe there are flaws, I still recommend it.
