A hilarious look on the rich vs poor ?? A great cast

What a great Drama the storyline is full of everything you want in one place Plus we have an exceptional cast everyone has played there characters either being good or bad ??
Ji Hyun Woo is an amazing actor playing the part of ML a 41yo widower/dad of 3 kids who's a stiff/boring CEO and becomes a hilarious 22yo kid.
Lee Se Hee another great actress & Beautiful playing the FL as a 28yo livin-tutor for the kids and bring excitement & new love to the family. There are a few different couples & lost/found family members in the mix and everyone seems to be involved with the ML & FL.
*It all starts with the FL- Park Dan Dan mother-Park Ji Young who leaves her as a baby dan dan due to pressures(postpartum depression??) and wants to follow her career and move to usa.
*The FL dad is devastated to raising an infant and is approached by Cha yeon shi (money hungry slug) and her son Dae beom(who sweet) a 4 yo boy who's husband died the previous year and she is also struggling so they agreed to live and help each other.
*Ji young does return a few times but see him/her with a women/child smiling & laughing and decides to leave for USA.
As years go by and the families are struggling Cha Yeon shi mother quilts her to give them the house deposit for an investment without telling Soo Cheol. She gives it to her mother and they were scammed so they ranaway to Vietnam and they loose there family home. FL goes crazy on her stepmom on how she could take her father hard working money and just give it away to her family and this isn’t the first time.
* FL dad gets hired as a live in driver at ML home for Ms.wang and sadly the greedy stepmother(SM) does it again instead of staying elsewhere she decided to move in with him and cant understand why not. Then she brings her mother & family in so FL is yelling at her stepmom to leave before she & Dad gets fired. It turns out he resigned once he knew dandan was there, but to late as they are all caught by Ms. Wang, SaRa and ML.
*FL gets hired as a live in tutor for ML kids and is hired, but after what her SM did she tell the ML about her father and he was happy to hear the truth, but she resigned.
*Jo SaRa is the butler for the ML and for the last 5yrs handles all matters in his house, but has been secretly in love with him. She joins forces with Ms. Wang to be the future DIL.
*Ms. Wang is the ML deceased fathers mistress for 20yrs and still lives with him so she can collect an allowance as his father left her penniless upon his death, but left 10% company shares to her daughter Lee Se Ryeon.
*FL stepbrother Dae Beom meets Lee Se ryeon in a bar and they fall in love then find out how they are related thru family and when her mother finds out she falsely accused him. Then she and SaRa goes after the park family as being scammer.
*FL grandmother was the nanny for ML and her mom was also friends with him. Due to a major car accident Ji young face was disfigured and was given a new face in America and a new name Anna Kim working for Fanton as the CEO fashion designer for the American branch.
*She returns to Korea for work and is staying with the ML and the only issue is with Ms. Wang & Sara attitudes and how they treat others and the kids. She takes a liking to Dan Dan then finds out its her daughter and stays in the house to protect her and they become friends
*FL admit to ML that he was her 1st love @ 13yo and still does, he at first has a problem with age diff 28 to 41 with 3kids she doesn’t care about it and gives him a handkerchief and tells him to tie it to the tree by midnight it’s a yes. She catches him trying to remove it and takes it as a yes, but he explain his point and she tells him she’ll wait for him
*The ML is struggling with work, home & love and goes hiking while holding FL handkerchief he asks his wife “to give him a sign if yes* then the wind takes the hanky and he falls trying to catch it. He doesn’t return and they send a search party to only find his backpack/phone. He wake up the next day with amnesia and then remember his name only and goes home. Once home he searches for his dad and tells the kids hes not there dad thank god his BF attorney Woo talks to him and he states hes 22yo again. Let the fun begin..
*Ms. Wang and Sara play a dangerous game and convince ML that hes engaged to SaRa who knows that the ML likes the FL and is purposely causing her pain. FL safety nets is the kids love her and totally dislike SaRa ***karma is a great things
Just finished and wow it was fun to watch. If you love screaming at the TV like me its totally worth and even if you don’t its still totally worth it. I didn’t note everything and everyone as I could go on and on for each character but there are to many. By the end of the series everyone and everything is back in place. . These are the most related one to the story and its an amazing one. Please watch its as i guarantee its worth it? ❤️❤️

Dated tropes on a continuous loop..

I loved this drama so much and looked forward to new episodes every week...until ep16 hit and I got unexpectedly makjanged. This writer is more suited to daily drama's where a sense of realism isn't expected and the more over the top tropes the better.

Our supposedly intelligent CEO has turned into a complete idiot and doesn't know up from down. The writer has made a fool out of him. Sure he's had amnesia twice (lol) but his character is now written to have lost not only his memories but his reason/logic, moral compass, I mean everything, he's become an empty shell. His house has been overridden by parasites and he's just going along for the ride, hurting both his children and the woman he supposedly loves. I can tell you the writer makes no sense at all. Pure laziness to push plot and drama along...actually I have lost the plot...not sure what this clown show is supposed to be anymore. The writer chooses episode after episode to push the abuse, greed, lies, crimes, in my face and it is not enjoyable for me to watch anymore. I will drop.

Started well, then dropped beyond any hopes

Started out pretty decent, then amnesia hit and it all went to shit.
The problem wasn't just the stupid amnesia, the problem was that all creativity went out the window together with it. While amnesia plots are general just plain bad (out of more than 40 shows I watched with them, only 1 was a good plotline, and that later turned out the ML had faked his amnesia) this show just turns bad in general.
After the amnesia plotline hit the ONLY new content we had was the ML's sister and her lover getting together properly. Literally everything else was just rehashing the same problems, character traits and bahaviours again and again. Ml looses his Memory? Believes Chief Jo without any reliable person or proof to back her up. Looses his memory again? Believes Chief Jo without any proof to her statements at all.
ML looses his memory? FL doesn't even utter a single sentence to fight for the ML instead believing chief jo who has not a single shred of proof. ML looses his memory again? FL doesn't lift a single finger or utter a single word to fight for the ML...
It's honestly not so much that the amnesia is the problem, that could be overlookked (it's a Kdrama, they can't live without doing some tropes that are universally hated and siliked by the entire viewership in any country for some reason), it's that the quality is just gone. The writing turns from not-great-but-decent to something you'd get a failing grade in middle school for beeing so unimaginative, repetitive and just plain bad

Frustrating to watch

If not for the 2 MLs and the childten, I would have given up long ago. The storyline is overwhelming, as mentioned by one of the reviews, just too many parallel stories going on, and some are like bulldogs that don't let go, it keeps coming back eg Cho sara, the father, the mother...sigh .... the list goes on. In this day and age, some parts dont make sense and potentially create a false impression of korean culture (or maybe I don't know it well, if so pardon me)
There is no need to drag your viewers through the excruciating roller coaster emotional rides. It gets frustrating and becomes agonizing to follow. I will skip episodes 43 to 50 and resume for the last 2 episodes.

How much amnesia is too much amnesia?

Although the story is as insipid as one might expect from a soap opera, with its open narrative and outrageous plot twists (and blatant overuse of amnesia tropes), the cast made it enjoyable enough to hang on to the last episode (with the exception of Dan-dan's father, whom I couldn't stand).

The kids were the most adorable ensemble ever. Seo Woo-jin is a natural born actor. I swear it is scary how good he is at emoting: whenever he cried on screen, I cried too. The other two child actors were very natural as well. Choi Myung-bin is somewhat of a well-known veteran among acting children (I think I've seen her at least in a dozen different dramas) and she is an undisputed talent, whereas the other kid, Yoo Joon-seo, is less experienced yet he is on par with his colleagues and also absolutely cute.
The female cast consists of some of my favorite actresses: Kim Young-ok, as the national grandma; Cha Hwa-hun, as the greedy, scheming ajhumma (hilarious!); Lee Il-hwa, as the prodigal mother; and, finally, Park Ha-na, as the evil, crazy girlfriend. Their performances are delightful and they really tried to sell their characters with the utmost professionality but the writing was just too awful to be redeemed by their talent. Also, my feminist self left my body whenever I was watching an episode in order to avoid being shamed into oblivion.
The male characters are ridiculous, at best. Just like the plot. Personally, I endured it just to ogle at Ji Hyun-woo in suits (and out of them too...).

The main couple has a decent amount of chemistry, but their love story is problematic (and not because of the age difference).

All in all I would not recommend this to anyone I know, mainly because I wouldn't want them to realize I watch this kind of nonsense.
However, I must admit it is entertaining to watch just to discover what ludicrous extremes the writers' fantasy is going to reach.

Female Empowerment Score 2/5.

Flawed but so entertaining

I’ve been watching this drama since September 2021 and it’s finally come to a conclusion. This drama in many ways feels more a kin to dramas made ten to fifteen years ago. There’s a lot of tropes and a lot of angst. I really enjoyed this drama. It’s very flawed and there a few characters I hate with a passion but on the other extreme there’s characters that I adore and I’m sad that I won’t get to see them each week anymore. Also the payoffs in this drama are well done and I’m very satisfied with the ending. My mom who lives in a different state from myself, we would call each other each weekend to discuss our frustrations and favorite moments. It was a great bonding experience. I don’t think this drama is for everyone but if you don’t mind tropes, check it out because it has a lot of heart as well.
8/10

Watch it if you want to bite the table.

The main female character, DanDan, is kind and beautiful, a lovable, good person.

Unfortunately, with a few exceptions, she is surrounded by idiots, madmen and lunatics, malicious people and criminals.
Among these people, one can confidently subsume the author who made this mess in 52 episodes.

There are brutally selfish parents and other disturbed people who obviously have the right to interfere.

For the happy ending, everything is concluded with a huge reconciliation smear, in which even the worst offenders are forgiven. Hard to bear...

Dodge the bullet

I made the mistake of seeing this title in one of those "recommended" lists and the beginning seemed like a pretty generic start a melodrama. I usually have something on the side playing because I can't really deal with silence and this drama had a hefty amount of episodes which worked for me.

Let's get started...
What is happening and wrong with these characters? The female characters in this drama are especially toxic. The 4 (out of 5) moms and Cho... It got to the point where I assumed that this writer absolutely hates women. Even Dan Dan has such a weak identity and characteristics, it's hard to call her a "main character".

What the eff... [Spoilers ahead]
Did anyone even make it to the amnesia part of the story? Yikes.
Did anyone make it to the point where Cho Sa Ra (secretary) locked up the kids to teach them a lesson? How is he letting this **** slide?

Will miss you all !!!!

This would be one of the best series I watched. I am from New Zealand and had to rely on subtitles but the acting was good enough to know what was happening. I would have to give the best actor prize to Se Jong, omg I will miss him so much. Best actress even though I loathed her throughout the series would hve to go to Ms Choi. Young Guk has the best smile ever. Awesome how the plot weaves itself around two families. I cant say much more without spoiling it but absolutely would recommend this to all.

Reminiscent of The Sound of Music

In the beginning, I like this drama very much. But then it became irritating, so I dropped it. I normally would still check the last episode, especially after investing so many hours into this (I see dropped this around ep 40, so imagine how many hours I've put into this) but for some reason with this series I just never bothered.

I read that because this drama was so popular, they decided to extend the episodes. I wish they didn't - that could be why the drama turned so annoying!

The lead actor and actress act well and looks like decent people (I mean, morally). The ML is rich but he isn't a snob, he treats all his employees and friends with respect, which is a really nice thing to see. And how adorable is his youngest son!!!

I like the pairing of ML and FL. Mr. Lee is warm hearted and Ms Park behaves her age (27). I just love seeing the smile on Mr Lee's face whenever he sees Ms Park.

Aesthetically, the leads are not the most good looking people. But they really win me with their acting. Their smile, sadness, their emotions, won me with each passing time.

And I love the theme song! I even searched for it on Spotify and put it in my favourite folder.

The FL's acting has improved by heaps. I dropped a couple of other drama in the meantime (including The Red Sleeve) as I've been busy, but I can't resist to check out this drama everytime a new episode comes out. Well, until when it got too much!

The most ridiculous drama

This is the most ridiculous drama I ever watched. The memory loss once is already ridiculous and lasted 11 episodes before he regain his memory. Then when he regained his memory, but lost the last 3 months memory. What a stupid plot. Looks like there is a memory switch.. Lol. Then the ridiculousness of the step mother than refuses to moved out. The worst is the contradiction plots, excuses and dumb reasoning by PDD and LYK after he regained his memory but loss the last 3 months memory that makes your blood boils. I am not sure how the writer can write such a story.... Childish and utterly ridiculous.

Give it a try.

This is how you spoil a good story.
It started with a very excellent theme, making all the audience debate, what is good, what is not, what is right where it's wrong..
Most of the audience were holding a lamp for the MC main couple.. only to be thrown cold water on the face...
They added unnecessary twist and trauma to the story completely destroying to the point that most of them skipped many episodes..
If not for the main couple and the child actors
I bet not even a minute audience would have watched this classic drama turned into super nonsense...
5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
For the all three child actors
41/2 ⭐⭐⭐⭐
For the main couple
And step mom, the only character who was consistent..
And also to the actress who played the main negative character.
I hated all the use less excessive trash they added to the story
What i expected is
The three siblings bonding with the FL,
The FL helping the aloof father to take more responsibility of the kids, she doing justice to her job.
The mother less kids and abandoned FL sharing and caring for each other, and kids getting the motherly love.
And ML respecting her and liking her finally loving her.
I also expected both the lead with initially hesitate, thinking about their age, status etc but will over come and finally become a family
But what i got was
All was going well..
Then there was sara
Then came real mom
Sara still there
Then amnesia
Sara continues
Then the real mom is greedy
Then again sara is doing something
Real mom tries to kidnap
Real mom is discovered
Sara in hiding
Sara returns
Main couple busted
FL locked up
break up
Sara strikes back
Sara
Sara
Sara
Sara
Sara busted
Break up
Reconciliation of every one
The the end
Finally..it's ok to give a try just for the kids
