Loved and Wanted More! Definitely a Must Watch

I had been anticipating this drama since I found out it two of my Favorite Stars and I loved it! Park Min Young and Song Kang were Wonderful Together! This drama was addictive to me, I loved how much they really incorporated the weather into this drama! That’s what made this so interesting and unique to me, each episode and what was going on with our characters lives coincided so perfectly with the ever changing weather. From start to finish it was done so well. This show starts off with a bang! Our main leads are caught up in finding out their partners are cheating & they all just so happen to work in the same line of work. I was hooked from the start! Our heartbroken main leads happen to get entangled together and it’s Everything!!! You go from devastated and sobbing to dying laughing and then to squealing! I waited and binged my two episodes every week! Song Kang’s character (Lee Shi Woo) was so smart and driven, he was very serious about his work and was persistent on his findings - it was soooooo sexy! He was a very complex character, I loved how he could go from cute and adorable to serious and intense. (GAHHHH, y’all help I’m so In Love with this Man!!) Park min young who plays Director Jin ha-Kyung was a workaholic, strict and very straight laced. When she is cheated on by her fiancé, who works in the same company as her, her work life is all any of her coworkers can talk about. And then to show just how small of a world it is, the woman her fiancé cheated with and then decides to marry happens to be a reporter who works very closely with their station. And because it can’t just end there, KMA’s New Forecaster just happens to be Lee Shi Woo, the boyfriend of that Mistress Reporter and the man who our Director Jin happens to have a one night stand with! When i tell you this show is full on the drama I mean it’s FULL of the DRAMA!!! You just can’t stop watching! It’s addictive. I Loved the coworkers and how they are each going through their own struggles, I felt this show did a really good job on showing reality. Another thing I have to hand it to is the characters grow as the story goes on and you learn to forgive, showing director Jin forgiving her Ex- fiancé after all he did to her and him coming through and owning up to all his mistakes so they could peacefully move forward with their new lives was beautifully done. I could go on and on with all the reasons I loved this show. I definitely highly recommend, It’s a worth rewatching. The only reason i gave it 9/10 was because they rushed those last two episodes, like whyyyy. I did feel like that last ep was rushed to a quick ending. While it was still nice and okay, they could have given us more that that 15 minute wrap up ending. I’m sobbing, it was a short and sweet closing but I’m so hooked on them that I really wanted more.

Great character development

I really loved this drama. The weather forecasting element is actually really interesting, and they did such a good job of storytelling how the decisions the characters make at work impact the daily lives of people. That was a really nice touch. What I liked the most was how the characters learn and grow, both in their personal lives and at work. There's plenty of romance, but also lots of themes on leadership, burnout, discrimination/sexism, making and learning from mistakes. Some dramas really only manage to talk about the romance or the work challenges, but this one did both well! And there were no side-characters that were dull or sub-plots that were uninteresting. Really just a lovely drama that's well worth watching!

Disappointing and at times infuriating

Started out good, I enjoyed the first couple episodes a lot but then It just fell off. Had some good moments but the plot development was disappointing and some characters were really unbearable.

I couldn’t stand the dynamic the main characters had with their cheating ex’s.Hated them as a side couple. Was enjoying watching the downfall of their marriage but then they were given a happy ending?! The NERVE that man had to go to his ex fiancé of 10 years who he cheated on and brag about how the woman he cheated with is pregnant….!!

The writing of this show just wasn’t it… spent more time being angry about the show than enjoying it.

Glorifying cheating couples??

You can tell me I'm evil, but I really was hoping the second lead couple didn't have a happy ending. Are they glorifying cheating couples or what? No matter how many excuses the couple made, like how they have low self-esteem, or falling in love at first sight, or that she just wanted to marry someone, in the end, they are all excuses. Nothing can justify a man cheating on his fiance right before their wedding, and also letting her find it in the most disgusting and cruelest way possible. And no matter what excuse she gives, it doesn't justify the fact that she was cheating on her boyfriend with an almost married man. If her boyfriend has an anti-marriage person, she could always break up and meet someone else in a just and fair way. Instead, she just goes and cheats on a guy who already has a fiance. Both of them shamelessly justify themselves which was so annoying. And what? The ex-fiances become friends in the end?? after all, he had hurt her but he was still shameless enough to come in front of her and dump all the accusations on the victim. And the two victims fall in love and try to build their relationship with the support of their cheating ex.

The only thing that is interesting was the weather forecast department and how it works. It's an eye-opener to see how much weather forecasters work so hard at their job just so we could know that it's going to rain tomorrow so we could just grab an umbrella before leaving home.

Not good-Not bad

Honestly I was hyped for it, but at some point it just got SO boring, the main couple's chemistry was no it (seemed more like a nephew-aunt relationship😳) even the ML had more chemistry with the second FL, it was cool whenever they showed things about the weather but other than that just boring, the ending was also very predictable and flat.

I wish they would've had explanied more about Lee Siu's relationship with his dad, and showed more where this same relationship had improved towards the ending.

Dong Han's storyline was also boring, we see this type of storylines in every show so I do believe they could've done better.

I loved more the second lead's relationship,it was interesting how Gijun improved as a partn
That being said, I give this show 7.5 , I hope netflix incluyes better shows next time :(

Weatherless Behaviour

Just at a first glance, the synopsis isn't encouraging to launch the first episode. The only thing left is to check out what were they gonna do with the forecasting setup. They failed to establish why their job is very super important early on and waited a while to do so, nullifying the little bit of early tension it could have had for a good hook. As expected, forecasting turned into a small side plot. They barely done anything with it after a few episodes. The story was straight up not good. Whatever plotlines the drama had, it didn't put enough effort to bring them to the finish line, everything just magically worked out. The writer had no clue how to write and establish human and love relationships. What made matter worse was the non-existent chemistry between the leads. Even further much worse, the atrocious dynamic between the four leads, what even was that?!

Hmm.

Motivation to watch: Park Min-young.

Suggestions for you:
1. Only watch it if you are a big fan of one of the main leads.
2. If you are a fan of Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency.

Summary:
1. The side stories are better than the main story.
2. The side romance is also better than the main lead's romance.
3. The broken side of the romance is not heart-breaking.
4. The touching part of the main story is not touching, yet the side story is still interesting.

Forecasting Love and Weather (2022) - one of the dramas that I really like at first since it talks about weather and the life of the people behind the weather reports. I think what this drama is lacking is that the focus is mainly unto the weather and not in the character development of the characters in the drama itself. I find it rather odd as well between the relationship of the “exes” in the drama, it doesn’t sit well with me that is why I cannot fully appreciate the whole drama. Overall I felt the romance somehow but the feels is really not the same comparing it to other dramas that I have been watching together with this one.

Weather and workaholics

I refuse to believe, that there are that many dedicated news reporters assigned to the weather who attend press briefings with the rapt attention and critical eye like it was a major political scandal. I don't know if this is a correct representation of how seriously Korea takes its weather, or if there was a lot of artistic license in how they portrayed it. It's mostly people looking at whirling bits of data on screens, and just not that interesting to watch.

I didn't mean to watch back to back dramas with Song Kang, he is not my favorite of the apple cheeked young actors currently making headlines, but he did bring some 🔥🔥🔥🔥 during the romantic parts er....part. He has good shoulders. And I have no objection to how many times he would like to show those bare shoulders on screen.

It was hard to imagine the two of them together, even while watching them be together. The workplace dynamic was anxiety inducing, he's a poor pennyless guy that is homeless and Ha-Kyung offers him a place to live then tracks him down repeatedly and forces him to move in with her. She's also his boss at work who could fire him. At one point she calls him a kid and he angrily retorts that he's an adult and also her man, as he battles for respect.

They're both such workaholics that there is not a lot to them beyond some childhood trauma and the weather. He does have a lot of positive energy, he's thoughtful and helpful. But she is just her job, she's on call and even when she's not she's always thinking about the weather.

There are several discussions where she talks about how she's drawn boundaries between her work and personal life, which is just not true. she's much more severe and petty towards Si-Woo than anybody else. Which just because she's hiding her affection by being horrible to him doesn't make it a better boundary.

I know South Korea is dealing with low birth rates, and I don't feel like this series really helped that cause. For woman who did have children it was mentioned several times that having kids and taking maternity leave ended promising careers. One woman tells the female lead that she should not get married and have kids. Another debates getting an abortion because she doesn't think they can afford to raise one. While her partner fretfully looks up baby related costs to see if he can budget it in.

It was interesting to see Ha-Kyung's ex-fiance and his new wife have to deal with the repercussions and aftermath of some of their decisions. And how both main leads really learned a lot about themselves through the process of being cheated on, and what their exes found lacking in their relationships both with them and with their new partners.

I didn't connect with this drama and it makes it seem like being a forecaster is one of the worst jobs to have, which isn't that fun to watch for 16 episodes.

I don't even know

I had such high hopes for this kdrama. The clips I had seen made it look so interesting but what even was that. I found myself dreading every episode yet hoping it'd get better. But it didn't and I didn't want to stick around for the rest.

The storyline was trying to make fetch happen (if you know what I mean). The beginning was good and I liked both ML and FL but why did they even get together? It made no sense. The only thing they had in common was that they both got cheated on. I don't think that's good for a lasting relationship. And the SML and SFL were straight up ANNOYING!!

A slow paced drama, that starts well but becomes repetitive and boring.

I had really enjoyed the previous works of both main leads, so I was quite excited to start this. I watched it as it was airing, and during the first couple of episodes, I thought okay, this looks like it could be interesting. And towards the middle of the drama, things were picking up and I was genuinely invested in the characters' lives. But after that things just go downhill.

Conflicts kept arising which would usually be okay, but all the conflicts were so similar to each other. Just there to sow discord and doubt in the main couple's relationship. This caused the drama to feel draggy. At the start, I felt like the chemistry between the main leads was a little lacking, but in the next few episodes I saw their chemistry slowly start to build, and I truly enjoyed watching them go from strangers to people in love, in a realistic way. But that's about it. I feel that this honestly did not need to be as long as it was. 8 episodes would have been enough to tell a nice story that didn't make me want to skip scenes.

As for the side couples, I enjoyed watching the FL's sisters' relationship, they were actually adorable and probably my favorite couple for the series. As for the SML and SFL, I am just so surprised they even worked out. All they seemed to have done the entire series is fight, and it's always the same fight spun in different ways.

Apart from the different couples, the plot was basically non-existent. Every other episode or so there would be some drama about forecasting the weather, and if the prediction would be right or not, it was fun to watch at first, but after the first couple of times I started skipping the forecasting scenes because they all seemed the same. I really wish they had introduced a more complex plot related to their job, so it would just be us watching the home lives of a bunch of people who work in the same field, because thats exactly what it felt like.

All in all, this is definitely not a very memorable drama, and if I didn't watch it while it was airing, I probably would not have finished it. If you really like the leads or want something slow-paced that you don't need to pay a lot of attention to, then pick this up, otherwise I would say skip it.

Development

This was one drama that I was not excited to watch; but gave it a shot anyway

Characters

The ML and FL are great actors and I think that this drama did not help to show that; the drama was more about the weather hence the title of the drama, but I would have liked the main characters to have some growth throughout the drama. I think the SML and the SFL had more growth throughout the drama than the main leads themselves

Likes

1) I liked the music; always nice to hear a good OST for a drama
2) I got to know more about the hardworking people who work to give us people regular weather reports
3) The ML has a smile that you want to drown into
4) The episodes are short and sweet so it does not drag on for too many episodes

Dislikes

1) The FL I love her; but I wish that she did not have the same expression throughout the drama and would have showed much more growth that she has an actresses I know has showed in many other dramas
2) The leading up to the romance of the ML and FL are not really shown, and I think that could somehow improve a bit
3) The people behind the weather reports are really complex, and sometimes I wasn't quite sure why throughout the whole drama the same scenarios always happened, and I think that could have been improved on.

Overall, it was a nice drama with good enough eye candy and good enough plot to let you plow through the drama; although some things could have been improved on, I would definitely recommend people to watch this; even though if your not fans of Song Kang and Park Min-Young.
