More crazy and less bad

The story seemed so intriguing at the beginning, it will be crazy and out of the box but it wasn't.
Ep 1-5 - interesting, had fun watching it.
Ep 6-7 - kinda boring, fast forward button was working a lot. I feel like nothing was happening.
Ep 8-10 - interesting, the plot is finally moving forward, we are building up to something.
Ep 11 - what is going on? Why?
Ep 12 - satisfying ending but what was that build up?

Story
It could have been better, the characters are good but nothing was done with most of them.
It was Ryu Soo Yeol all the time doing everything, I wish we saw more of his team working together and solving cases.
The last episode didn't feel like it happened because the main characters were smart and had a plan but because of coincidences.

What I liked
- The bromance between Ryu Soo Yeol and K.
- The bromance between Jae Seon and Oh Kyung Tae.
- Oh Kyung Tae's character development with minimal screen time.
- Andrei and Boss Yong, they are so cool.
- Whenever K showed up and did something crazy.
- Multiple villains and cases, some better, some not.
- The ending even though the build up made no sense.

Overall, good characters meh story.

Good but drags a bit

This series is great for those who enjoy a bit of mystery, action and crime drama. But I would not call it the best in this genre mainly because some themes are repetitive (planting evidence) and the show gets a bit slow and drags at times.

The story revolves around a shady cop, Ryo Soo Yeol, who is known to take bribes and does not care to find actual evidence and criminals. However, his motivation is mostly because he wants to earn money and not because he is morally dead. This is proven when a crazy man, K, appears in his life and forces him to look at evidence in a case and help a rookie cop, Oh Kyung Tae, who has been made the fall guy in the disappearance of a little girl's mom because he saw too much and would not give up trying to find her. From there, K continues to push Soo Yeol into situations that force him to seek the truth and punish criminals even at the risk of his own life.

Eventually the show dives into Soo Yeol's own past and another series of murders that are linked to it.

SPOILER: Although I enjoyed the new take of this show on the inclusion of a character with Dissociative Identity Disorder, the characteristics are more fiction and stretching the basis of how DID develops (aka trauma) and it's presentation. For example, someone with DID can be aware or unaware of a second or other persona(s) but they do not physically see them as external hallucinations. Also, usually one identity is in control at a time rather than simultaneously. There are moments when Soo Yeol is escaping a room full of goons while K is inside still fighting them. Then they were depicted as both fighting different sets of goons which is impossible. There are too many moments which feel supernatural for it to be an actual case of DID so the entire scenario must be taken with a grain of salt.

Overall: The drama is fun. Has elements of comedy. The episodes could have been shorter and the police could have been more efficient. It is enjoyable but ultimately I have to rate it a 7 because of the presentation and content.

The Beautiful and the Sexy

I loved the transitionally yet commendable growth in Su Yeol through his alter ego K. The best part of them was that even in their splitness, they remained an extension, rather than two separate entities fighting to dominate one another. Everyone needs a heroic figure who, in spite of weaknesses, and not always knowing the right answers, helps them overcome life's adversities, and maybe even even help them recover a piece of their humanity that they may have lost along the journey of life. And K is exactly that for Su Yeol. I enjoyed every aspect of the Bad and Crazy, it solidified my admiration for Lee Dong Wook as an actor and not just a beautiful face, while at the same time introducing me to a different side of an amazingly brilliant talent that is Wi Ha Joon. Additionally, I enjoyed the many talents we met while on this journey, but the two that stood out the most are Kim Hi Eo Ra as Boss Yong and Won Hyun Joon as Andrei Kang, her henchman. I am forever a fan. I will miss this fun drama, but look forward to seeing Lee Dong Wook and Wi Ha Joon in their upcoming projects later this year.

For Bromance Suckers

It's bromance for me! It reminded me of Ling Yao and Greed from Fullmetal alchemist brotherhood. From enemies to sworn brothers! 100/100 for the bromance.
LDW was good, as expected, but I was seriously surprised by WHJ. I only saw him act as serious characters, but here he was pretty goofy and did a very good job. I think he stole everyone's heart here. With no doubt my fav character of this show.
My second fav character wouldbe the mother! She is sooo loving and caring, definitely one of the best moms. And the relationship between her and soo yeol was sooo touching.
The relationship between soo yell and the doctor was hilarious, I enjoyed their scenes a lot.

But aside from these points, the series was pretty average, if not below. The crime part was too predictable, they could have tried to make the villains less obvious. And the romance was sooo out of place, it would have been much better, if they were (best) friends, frenemies or remained exes.

Overall it was a fun, bromance focused and crime related series. If you are looking for a Good cop/crime story, this isn't for you. This is more meant to be as a fun series.

CRAZYYYY GOOOD!!

The realistic thing is.. our “good” cop Ryu Soo Yeol is not thaaat upright or honest. He’s also a little corrupted and accepts kickbacks, but he has morals and a good heart. He’s somewhat of a coward and does (and says) whatever it takes to survive in that situation, but he feels remorse and tries to make up for it... which makes him lovable and human.

The entire drama is very fast paced.. there are layers of villains as the story unfolds, and if you like crime-solving mysteries this is a good one. I would say it’s fairly predictable although my predicted plot for the end was not quite accurate ;) It’s hilarious and many outright LOL scenes; one kissing scene (which was a steamy one;)) and the bromance was one of a kind haha. Plenty of kung-fu style fight scenes, but also many punch-in-the-face/ beat up/ kick-in-the-ribs scenes which were too disturbing for me. A lot of swearing also;)

I haven’t seen any of Lee Dong Wook dramas- I dropped both Goblin and Tale of the Nine Tailed. So I enjoyed watching him in this one! I was happy to see Wi Ha Joon in a comic/ out of character role, other than the love rival roles he has played and that in Squid Game.

All in all it was a very good watch! Have fun with this one ;)

Good Enough

Korean Drama "Bad and Crazy" is a crime action series with strong performances and interesting characters.

The drama starts strong right from the very beginning, with an intriguing crime case and the mysterious K's first appearance. The story progresses smoothly, though the plot didn't maintain the same level of entertainment throughout all of the episodes. Rather, there were some ups and downs, and some scenes that were tiring and far stretched. However, things picked up in the final episodes, with the new main villain being rather sneaky and the twists, which were plenty, offered a lot of suspense. That is when the bromance truly shined.

And for real, the two main characters were the highlight of the drama, along with the well-crafter action scenes. The performances were indeed on point from everyone in the cast, but the main leads were especially enjoyable. The same goes for the OST of the drama which was perfect for the genre of the series and created the perfect atmosphere.

So, overall, seven out of ten.

Power packed with action and craziness

Bad and Crazy is an action thriller with a lot of comedy added with suspense as well. Believe me, you will not be bored in this drama due to it's intensity in story and an outstanding techno music to match with it.

With an amazing political corruption plotline, adding with dual personality and drug abuse, Bad and Crazy doesn't leave anything that we cannot be impressed with. The bromance between Lee Dong Wook and Wi Ha Joon was a pleasure to watch, alongside the supporting characters who held this drama and made it power packed. Though some twists and tropes might initially leave viewers feeling muddled, power through them and the pieces slowly start to fall into place, compelling you to sit back, relax and enjoy the wild ride that is Bad and Crazy.

A Blast!

I so enjoyed this action packed, intriguing and very amusing caper.
It is not perfect, but, it got a 9 from me purely for how much I enjoyed every episode; I totally binge watched it.
I did work out the key aspect fairly on, but was still gripped all the way through.
Loved Soo-yeol (LDW) and how, whilst a pretty sycophantic and underhand detective in (perversely) the Anti Corruption Unit, he still had a conscience and couldn't turn a complete blind eye to certain crimes (especially once influenced by K).
K (perfectly played by Wi Ha-joon) was stunning ~ like OTT, action hero stunning ~ and that fits totally (especially as the story unfolds).
Character, Hee-kyum, is feisty, by-the-book and very capable of handling herself; but she was also often too headstrong and didn't listen, which irritated me.
Rookie Kyung-tae, was a total sweetie, stuck by his guns and refused to ignore the signs that all was not as it should be, with the investigation and conclusion of a certain serious crime. This put him in danger, but he never gave up.
Ji-ru (Soo-yeol's boss) was actually very supportive, considering SY's previously compliant attitude to do what he was ordered, changed pretty drastically.
There is a lot of violence and some very uncomfortable scenes, but there's also wit, sarcasm and "that could never happen" scenarios, which still fit nevertheless!
This isn't 'real', isn't to be taken too seriously and needs a certain amount of imagination (because it's hard to portray the subject of this drama ~ which you'll know what I mean if you watch it), but it really is terrific fun and very touching on several occasions. Loved it.

BAD + Crazy

The big twist is that this is not a supernatural drama about possession, but rather a thriller involving DID.

I have to applaud this drama for being better than Killme/Healme or Hyde, Jekyll, Me in its depiction of what kind of traumatic even triggers DID.

That's the good stuff.

K functions like a ghost... I've rarely heard of DID patients being able to see and interact with their alters... It was hard to believe... shoulda just made him a ghost...

There are investigation portions to the story but they all take too long... Some things that could be resolved in 2 eps are stretched out across 4 total sometimes. The drama reeks of weekly writing because the relevant plot that you've been following will be dropped in favor of something new...

I'm not sure if this story was planned out but its bad enough that it FEEL like the writers were making shit up as they went.

ACTION was great! I actually adore K!
