A perfect webtoon adaptation!

I started this show thinking it'd be just a gag, but there was a lot - sci-fi, 'punch in the gut scenes'... a very detailed show and a perfect weekend watch. Though there are some curses, so I'd not recommend watching it with kids.
PS: The webtoon writer is really smart to even think of such a plot.

A time pass drama

This was an unexpected watch for me.I never intended to start this drama because I found it ridiculous. But after some time, the same thing attracted me to watch this one.Suprisingly , the humour really worked for me.Plot is not really strong. The ending was a big wtf moment. But omg the acting ! Ryu Seung Ryong is Korea's best dad.Moving, miracle in cell no.11 and this one.He literally made me emotional over a chicken nugget.I enjoyed the first half more than the second half. This drama was a mixed bag.

Odd, very odd

This is one of those dramas that is a little bit hard to rate the story is odd, really odd, the overall messge seems to be good something about world peace and stuff... the directing is a bit over the top and to quirky fro my taste leaving with just a little bit to much second hand embarrassment and the need to fast forward...

That said there where a lot of fun K-drama jokes, a decent cast and pretty things to look at.

It is also a drama that may change the way you look at chicken (any type of chicken) for all eternity, or until you have seen enough other dramas to overwrite the damage this drama made.

As for if it will have you longing to eat chicken or never want to eat chicken again will be left unsaid by me.

So basically this is a true k-drama mix of everything odd, prepare yourselves for some quirk and over the top odd stuff and I am sure this can be an okay watch. While it did have a bit to much over the top for my taste I can appreciate the oddness and individuality of this so if you are fine with that stuff and looking for something different this is actually a pretty decent place to find it.

Comedy with a sad ending

I'm literally heartbroken in tears that the girl still wouldn't turn back into human even after 50 years šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜ it's because the pair of machines actually belong to four aliens, and one day on their planet would be 50 years on Earth. They would not be able to restore her on Earth immediately, instead they have to take everything back to their planet and recharge the machines. Another heartbreaking moment in the ending is that while the admirer has become a famous singer, after 50 years he met the granddaughter of his first fan (the high school girl who saw him on steet), and the first fan already passed away.

Boring, uneventful and incomplete

Ironic how such a short drama can be so uneventful yet draggy

I understand Korean webtoon have a style peculiar, but i enjoyed Pegasus market and the sound of your heart
This, the comedy wasnā€™t funny, only one or two things were, and Iā€™d say the be melodramatic reference wasnā€™t in the OGšŸ¤£
anyway this fell on par with school nurse files and glitch, they feel incomplete, with a really basic and cheap world buildup and follow through šŸ„±
And it ended in a way I hate the most.. going back in time, not giving answers. Like yeah he couldā€™ve stayed another day, and gone back in time and fixed it
Though yeah her dad passed away on his way, was his closure thinking sheā€™s back, and it was motivation for yellow pants to go back.. but a repeating loop, thatā€™s not a happy ending, or any ending, theyā€™re not reliving the happy moments. Theyā€™ll relive the chase

And yeah people say you can interpret it as you like, maybe it gives time for the alien to spend ā€œoneā€ or more days, which is 50 and more years, and some can say heā€™ll remember and stop her from going in.. but I call that lazy writing, open endings are pointless because the writer didnā€™t want to think more about what to do, the choice and follow through is their responsibility

Surprisingly quite good

The synopsis is so ridiculous that I've to watch it lol...This is epic manga style cringe. So, it's not for everyone, but if you're used to manga, you can kinda close one eyes for it.

I did find some episodes really cringey, yet it's surprisingly nice to watch. There's an actual storyline that keeps me clicking next. It's also such an old-school scifi style of storyline which we haven't seen for a while, so I kinda like it really

I have not read the manga, but it felt like it might be a close adaptation, at least image wise, because, seriously i've never seen such ridiculous scenes in drama before

Overall, I quite enjoy it, had good laughs at some point and the indirect reference to BTS is pretty cool

It's not the kind of show I'll put on top of my list but would be a nice break from the usual drama, kind of to watch something different and shake things up a little.

An absurd but comically pleasing treat

Chicken nugget is a drama about a girl named Choi Min-ah who enters into a machine to relieve her fatigue but ends up turning into a chicken. Her chances of turning back into human rests on the shoulders of her father and her admirer.

The plot is far-fetched and hilarious. Although dramas and movies are people's imaginative and creative write-ups that are brought to life and are sometimes devoid of realism, this drama is too much. A human being turning into a chicken nugget is extreme. Kdrama writers never cease to amaze their audience with the extent of their creative ideas which is sometimes weird.

Nevertheless, this drama is comically satisfying. The entire drama is full of humorous and amusing scenes. Scenes that would make you laugh hard, keep you entertained and happy are what makes up this drama. The dialogues and mannerisms are so funny and would linger on the minds of its watchers for a long time.

Looking for a light-hearted, comedy filled and unrealistic drama to watch? Then chicken nugget is the drama for you.

Absurd Plot, Great Acting

Completely bizarre premise, some good thoughts on human greed and war, outstanding acting of exaggerated comedy. The first half of Episode 9 was especially fantastic and hilarious. There were good laughs, completely absurd situations and characters, and the narration blended situational comedy, exaggeration, visual comedy, thriller, historical elements and mystery very deftly. There were some very funny pop-culture references as well. I did drop it in Episode 9 though because I had read ahead to the ending, which I wasn't keen to watch because it resolved nothing. Still not a bad mindless watch.

Yes, his daughter became a nugget

Aliens for 200 years who have been searching for their machines, a scientist cucu and his nephew who is also cucu, a father who is looking for answers after his daughter turned into a nugget for getting into one of those machines and her father's worker who is in love with his daughter = Chicken Nugget

I really don't have that much to say, you just don't have to take this drama so seriously, it's just a comedy drama (Ridiculous, but entertaining) Not every year they release this type of random dramas

Not bad enough!

This show is what theater kids rehab looks like. And you know, I'm not complaining. They had good time, I had good time. We're even.

Chicken Nugget doesn't necessarily shoot for the moon, nor does it classify as absurdism - more like fooling around. You could ask the producers why did they make this drama, and they would most probably answer "Because we wanted to and we could", and this would be completely fair. But for me personally, Ryu Seung Ryong's affiliation with fried chicken will never go away after this.

But why? Still, why? The conflicts in the plot were very forced, like the most idiotic scene of the fight with aliens. Aliens also had no reason popping up in Joseon. And why, at all, was this long story about Kim Yoo Jeong being a chicken nugget told? The last episode basically pushed the red button and erased all the remaining significance of the drama. It's telling you almost straight out that you wasted 5 hours of your life for nothing. "Thank you, dear viewers, you may go home now."

The chicken intro though is such a killer šŸ”„

mixed feelings

OK, so just finished watching chicken nugget and all I have to say this wouldā€™ve been better if it was a movie instead of a show because itā€™s a waste of time watching 10 episodes just to know how sheā€™s gonna come back even though it was really funny and nice and good acting and Joyful I would never rewatch it again I only watched it for fun because of the weird concept of the show but yeah it was pretty funny lol.

worth watching

Loved the plot and acting!! The characthersā€™ backstories were really well written in a way you can justify their actions. First episodes were really funny but I lost interest as it went on. However, I wouldnā€™t rewatch it as the ending suckedā€¦ felt like I wasted my time. They all deserved a better ending , especially the father who waited 100+ years for her chicken nugget daughteršŸ˜it was really weird to kill him off the last minute. And if you hate time loop endings or open endings then THIS SHOW IS DEF NOT RECOMMENDED!!
