What I enjoyed with Celebrity is that the writer totally took something so current, delved into it and gave us a praise worthy drama. Honestly, I find most Kdramas far more interesting than western series. The plots, the lines.... totally different in their approach.It was very nice that Park Gyu Young is finally being given the attention and projects she deserves. Couldn't imaging any other actress portraying the role of Ari. However, for me, Kang Min Hyuk definitely stole the attention here. What a comeback! Didn't recognize him from his days in The Heirs. He totally oozed charisma and nailed the chaebol role. (currently obsessing over his pictures on IG LOL)
Hoping that both will be together in a nice romcom soon

Definitely not what's expected–keeps you leashed on like a pleading puppy
This is definitely not everyone's cup of tea. But it's a Binge Show for sure.I have to categorize this drama more of noir/thriller/mystery rather than something fun-loving. Reminds me of moods in American drama Euphoria but in a completely different setting and storyline. Of course, with all these dramas, you have to take things with a grain of salt. This story definitely exaggerates the lives of influencers and celebrities, and there are some scenes that are quite fake imo; however, it doesn't destroy from a drama that continues to live up to the quote, "never know your next move". It truly was astonishing.
Honestly, I really wasn't expecting to be so hooked with this drama, as I've actually been hearing pretty bad reviews in general before I started, but I'm honestly so glad I finished it until the end. Not quite happy with the ending, just felt like it could've been a bit more rounded off and finished cleanly, but I guess it also helps keep people guessing the aftermath in a sense.
The best thing about this drama was how much it hooked you in. It grabs you, keeps your attention in-line and doesn't let go. And it's like this, Every. Single. Episode. I tried, I really tried taking breaks but it just wouldn't! My eyes would wander off but my brain would continue to think. That's how you know you're gripped in this never ending game.
AKA there is not a single wasted moment in the storyline. Literally everything either takes your breath away or wants you indulging for more, whether it be the main characters or other people. Hence, the writing is impeccable. The only frustrating part, for those who are all in about FL and ML, would have to be a tinge of lack of romance scenes (i.e. there was only one kiss scene throughout this whole show) between the FL and ML. But it's also understandable, since it's not the main point.
All in all, HANDS DOWN TO THE ACTORS/ACTRESSES, literally every. single. one. of them. You have to take credit for loving them, hating them, being suspicious with every character no matter how attractive they are. The cast really made the plot and storyline exponentially better. Period.

Not just another one hit wonder Netflix show
PlotFirst of all the plot of this drama was not original but it was somehow intriguing. The basis of this drama as about Ari, a door-to-door sales women who becomes insta famous and the secrets she reveals about that world. Seems pretty basic but it definitely develops over time.
Acting
I think the acting sold it for me, I already loved the actor of Seo Ari from the drama Dali and the Cocky Prince but this show was just so good. She really showed us all of the emotions from sadness to happiness, you felt the same emotions she expressed. Especially in the scene on the balcony I felt my eyes watering and by the end you start rooting for her. As much as she is distant at the start of the drama she really grows on you. I do however wish to see more of her chemistry with the male lead as they were super cute together.
Jun-kyung (min-hyuk) I never had high expectations as I never watched dramas from him previously. But I was pleasantly surprised! He really played his role well and he had a lot of chemistry with the Ari but also his back story with yoon shi hyun was so interesting. I’ve become his fan and will root for his other dramas!
Since this review will go on if I specify all the other characters I’ll mention those who specifically suprised me. I really enjoyed hyo seungs acting, I only ever knew her as a Secret member but nothing else. She really played her character well!
Music
Can’t really remember any tracks but the times there were music they fitted the scenes. A shame there wasn’t anything including min hyuk or hyoseung seeing as they are both singers as well!
Romance
There is not a lot of romance at the start but it definitely develops and you find yourself falling for min hyuk more and more. I do wish Ari had some more facial expressions in some of the scenes but I guess it also fits her role as being knew to the whole scene.
Final words
I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys a intense kdrama! It has a hint of everything romance, murder mystery and drama.

Social Media Gossip: The Show!
All in all, Celebrity delivers exactly what its influencer subjects do: flashy distraction devoid of substance, a quick dopamine hit that lasts just long enough to be forgotten--and a promise that never quite lives up to the bargain.While the premise of a social media personality spilling the tea on her own murder is gripping, and while the characters and performances are surprisingly engaging, the story itself is ultimately a shallow hodgepodge of diverging, disconnected plots and stock cliches that undermine both its driving themes and its characters.
That doesn't mean it isn't entertaining, of course, because it is certainly, if nothing else, able to keep you attention long enough to be bingeable, especially with episodes running at about 45 minutes a pop. But it also probably won't rate much higher than a witty quip in a comment section.
Essentially, the show is a piece of internet gossip, providing you with a momentary rush of excitement, a passing feeling of moral superiority, and then a lingering sense that none of it really matters.
...but you're still going to consume it.

Your classic revenge plot, influencer edition
The plot isn’t something to be wowed by. We’ve all seen it—the underdog trampled on by the more fortunate, the rich being a nasty group of people with no conscience. In TV everywhere, especially in K-dramas, there is no shortage of those kinds of characters.The acting is well done, but there were no performances that particularly moved me. Everything was as it should have been—not too cringey, not too over the top. However, it wasn’t stale, either.
As for the writing, it’s not sloppy. There would have to be more complexity in order for a risk like that to be possible. Though I enjoyed the show visually, I couldn’t connect with any of the characters except Yoon Sihyeon. If you do decide to watch the show, make sure to be on the lookout for her.
Overall, Celebrity is typical in its format. We have the world of the rich which is filled to the brim with individuals who will stop at nothing to get their way, and then we have the main character who is different from the rest—determined to hold on to her morals and shield herself from the evil that awaits her.
If you’re looking for a light thriller without much depth, then this is the show for you. It doesn’t require you to think—instead, it allows you to sit back and watch events unfold as characters descend further into madness and others take advantage of that, securing their places on top.

The world of influencers
This show turned out to be much better than I was expecting. The trailers were good but I didn't expect to get hooked. Literally binged watched the entire thing. There is something is the show that makes it addictive, maybe the placement of twists. It just makes want to watch till the end.The concept of influences and their influence was well done. I really found it entertaining especially ep3. After watching the show, you definitely think about how the internet world is and what it can make people do.
The cinematography was top-notch, perfect for the influencer world. The acting was fantastic. Every actor did a great job. I even enjoyed the ml. Watching this show made me realize how much I missed Gyu-young's acting.
The pacing was also not bad. It doesn't drag. Doesn't get boring at all, however the romance was subtle. I honestly wished there was more.
Overall great show, not perfect but still entertaining.

Basic celebrity saga with mystery
I started watching this because I wanted change. This drama tells the story of seo ah ri who was rich then became poor. Later she tries to become influencer. This drama portrayes the influencer industry in Korea. We get an insight in the hate culture, the luxary which everyone is jealous of. And shows us the behind the scene of likes and comments. There is also commentary about class system in korea. The cast is impeccable. Though some side charcters dont have much to do. This isnt the worst thing I ever watched nor the best as well. A taste of the good life, and the addiction it brings.
Just what would you do to get one more taste of fame?Celebrity is an interesting narrative of living life online, and just how that pristine perfection might be hiding the secrets that lurk beneath.
To start off, I honestly thought this would be a lot lighter of a romance (I just clicked and watched) but the storyline is so much deeper than it seems. It follows a girl who was once rich, lost everything, and then glimpses a chance to get it all back. That drug proves to be too tempting, and she falls head first into a world built on the most premium of lies.
Let's be clear, Seo A-ri is not the most likable character. She does as she pleases, sinks her claws into who she needs, and is downright stubborn when being pushed around. She sometimes hurts those who are trying to help her, has an incredibly large sense of pride, and maintains a clear vision of where she wants her future to go. That being said, I didn't hate her. I wanted her to succeed despite everyone else trying to take her down. As you watch, you learn all her faults are just a shield against the world and she's desperately afraid of hurting those close to her. It redeemed her a little.
The acting is quite good, but the nasty troupe do get a little ad nauseum after twelve episodes. I found myself skipping through a lot of the villains scenes, and didn't feel like I missed anything as it was just one more scene where they do the dance one more time. Despite this, I continued watching and without much trouble. The storyline is interesting, I enjoyed the flow of the past and present, and the editing was meshed well all around. My only real gripe is the ending is too rushed. There was a lot of repetitiveness leading up to the last few episodes, but then we sped through all the parts and reveals that I think would have really made this drama memorable.
Would I watch again? I doubt it. I loved the main couple, despite them having little quality screen time, and the chemistry of the likable characters was enough to keep me clicking to the next episode. However, it's not something I imagine I would want to experience again.
I would say give it a go if you like a short revenge drama, and some tantalizing chemistry between the mains.

So, I just finished watching Celebrity drama. And I'm gonna say that it didn't hit the point. I felt like this show wanted to tell something but missed the point. Female lead acting is good but when it comes to crying scene I reduced my volume cz it is that unreal. Acting in emotional scenes is not at all good. I was waiting for something from Male lead but his screen presence is very less. What should I say, I might expected it to be more good than just average. Great potential but was poorly paced and didn’t live up to expectations

Celebrity takes a look at the real life of E-celebs commonly known as influencers which hold as much power as public figures in today’s world.
Now that we’re done with the formalities, shall we ?
This drama and the hype is uncalled for and once again I’m suspecting nonkdrama fans for this .
There was a scene where a maid took off the ml’s shoes while he was walking and in my opinion was what caused the entire social media buzz .
The scene looked very dramatic in edits but in the actual series, it was bland
The drama honestly could’ve been a movie and would’ve been more impactful .
They were just turning around in circles like clowns and the fl/narrator kept repeating herself .
Too much of everything is bad. They tried to create so much suspense but at the end of the day, they failed to hit climax .
The series lacked proper pacing . They dragged the bickering between the gabin society and the fl for too long.
Despite having 12 episodes, they still found a way to rush the ending which didn’t make any sense to me . They had so much time but ended up leaving too many loopholes and unanswered questions.
The love between the ml and fl was just silly with no back bone but their kiss scene was nice .
Additionally, the fl has a false sense of righteousness which I think stems from her pride .
She’s not a good person.

Achei que tava tudo ocorrendo muito bem, plot twist atrás de plot twist, mas pra mim a maior palhaçada foi a bbbfamous morrer desse jeito... deveria ter sido presa e ter a cara estampada en tudo quanto é canto, pareceu algo mt inacabado sinceramente e nem conseguimos ver direito o que aconteceu com aquelas outras influencers. Eles deveriam ter feito tipo um compilado/montagem do que aconteceu depois disso tudo. FOFOQUEIRA PASSA MAL COM FOFOCA CONTADA PELA METADE ?
