well

Let's start saying that they had BIG good points, they have a story so well tought out, BUT, in my personal opinion I don't like theses ideas of return from death or born again, like.... Sounds like they open a space to say that BL couples could be straight couples in another lifetime.... Let's move on with theses ideas. The actors are pretty good and they kinda serve, but they don't have a good chemistry, I mean like the villain is WAAAAAY better couple with the uke than the seme. The music is average, the rewatch value is good but... Being honest I didn't like this one.

If it was longer, maybe it would have worked.

I liked the concept of the story, but with 6 episodes coming in at 28 mins, they really didn't have time to develop anything. The leads relationship rushed to the point we felt no attachment to them or really cared. I didn't really like the actor that played Yeon Seok. He was kind of stiff to me. Plus his outfits were ugly. How cold was it at the time of filming that he would wear that moth bitten shirt, then a long jacket, THEN a suit jacket over the long jacket? The stylist did him dirty. I did enjoyed watching the actor that played David though. He was just adorable and his crying face was too cute and funny. The one that did a good job was the actress that played Sin Bi. She was really good in her role, even though she didn't have that much scenes. Other than that, this was just your basic k-drama where the uber rich heir ends up with someone. If this was at least 12 episodes and ore character development, maybe this would've been better.

Simple and Fun Show

**Brief Synopsis**
B (Editor): Jeong Ha Yeon
T (Writer): Yeon Seok

Beginning: B is an editor and T is a writer under him. This isn’t their first life together. B is the reincarnation of T’s lover in a past life. T has been searching for him for a long time and has only found him. At first, he is disturbed that his lover has been reincarnated as a man, and acts extremely cold and rude to B because he is confused as to what to feel. B, on the other hand, was instantly attracted to T and even applied for a job as an editor to work with him. Thus, he is saddened by T’s attitude. Just as he thought he had made a mistake and runs away, T realizes he doesn’t want to go through life without him, catches up to him and confesses. B agrees to his confession.

Middle: They spend time together as a couple and is happy for some time. They might not be super intimate but it is obvious from witnessing their interactions that they really care about each other.

End: Before they could have their happy ending, B accidentally saw the picture T keeps of his past lover and realizes that he was only the reincarnation of her, which was why T had confess he loved him. He confronts him and asks him if he really likes him right now or simply likes the girl in the picture and he is a replacement. T, not having had time to think about the details, is unable to answer and B, saddened by his lack of response, breaks up with him and runs away. T tries to find him but to no avail. And when he does find where he is, he runs in to B’s friend who tells him that B has agreed to go to the States with him. Shocked by this news, he leaves before seeing B. For 1 month, he remains in a state of sorrow until he hears the news that B is going to leave that night. Knowing he can no longer wait, he catches up to B before he leaves and begs him to stay. The series ends after he confesses he likes B as a person and not replacement for anyone. They reconcile and happy ever after.

**My Opinion**

WHAT I LIKE ABOUT IT
- I like the concept of reincarnation and past life. I like this show’s premise and in general, I think they delivered on what they had planned to deliver.
- The actors playing B and T are really good looking and look great together. They also have great chemistry and they do were depicting sadness and confusion. When ever I see B cry, it really breaks my heart. He really cries beautifully.
- The angst is introduced in a novel way. Sure they plot is predictable and from the moment we see the picture, we know what role it will serve, but for once, it’s not angst because of misunderstanding or lack of communication. It’s because both characters did not truly understand what they were feeling.

WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE ABOUT IT
- The plot is predictable and without memorable moments. It’s full of cliche BL tropes. If it hadn’t been for the rather novel concept, this should would have been rather boring.
- Some plot points doesn’t make sense. Why did T leave before seeing B after hearing he was leaving for the US? Why doesn’t he make an effort to find him before his departure date? He catches up with B just before he enters the car. Any later he would have missed him.
- The acting might feel a little unnatural in certain scenes but that’s mostly for the ensemble cast. The main leads do a great job at displaying the character’s emotions, which is crucial in a show like this.

**Conclusion**
An okay watch that won’t be revisited.

A show with extremely high potential suffering from the typical Korean BL conundrum

I was not prepared to like First Love, Again as much as I did. And yes, maybe it's solely because of the fact that I am a SUCKER for reincarnation and especially soulmate AU, but I promise its not just that.
This show just had so much freaking potential that despite the fact that it didn’t really fulfill it, I still love it for having said potential in the first place.
The thing that stuck out to me the most was the acting; a bit of a surprise since most lower-budget shows tend to suffer the most in this exact area. But Gun and Changha did SO well in their roles that it was their acting and chemistry solely that won me over (rather than the story... which started off well enough, certainly, but **definitely** took a hell of a dive in the last episodes).
Apart from that, the show is really aesthetically pleasing in that typical kdrama way, the OST is really solid, and the premise of the show is so unique and lovely.
The only place the show really falls apart on (for me), is the story: which felt rushed and awkward solely because of the awfully (typically) short runtime of the show.
So yes, the show ends up being quite mediocre overall, but there's definitely something inexplicably charming about it.
And it definitely makes for a good, fluffy, lighthearted watch when you don't want to be thinking too much, so do with all this information what you will ♡

This is a great "short BL series...

This is a great "short BL series...First of all I'm older and from the USA. I think the rating for this series is too low. I don't know why the episodes where only 22-25 minutes each. I wish they were longer. I don't know why there were only 6 episodes. I wish there was more. Jeon as Jeong was just adorable in his character. He made me smile and laugh many times. I believe Jin and Yeon was very strong in his portrayal and he was very believable in the 3 lives that were presented. Jin's crying scene by the broken photo was awesome. Kim, Jung and Song were all very strong in their performance and in characters as scripted. I believe the basic story was great and how it all tied into how they meet up in present time was very cool and appropriate. The flow was good. My only wish was that the episodes were longer and I think they could have gotten 8 episodes easy and even stretched it to 10 to 12. This series is very likeable and is even a good rewatch.

Love IT!

This series was so amazing and well put together. It has everything you wanted to see. The ending was so beautiful and the actors were amazing. Had me crying with all that went on. For a short 6 episodes, this told a great and powerful story of Love. my only complaint is I wish it was longer and had more character time to help develop more of the story. I love how everyone we meet always shows up in our lives again as something new. This series is a favorite and I will be watching over and other again.

Love the Music! ♫

I found the show to have an interesting twist, and it was refreshing. I will say that the actors have much more chemistry than the show allowed which was a blunder. I've had the toughest time finding the music unfortunately, Shazam and Google don't recognize any of it. Any tips?

The furthest I've gotten is that I BELIEVE SiHyun Jeong & Manfa are involved as they have a similar song to that "Call My Name" theme called "Call It LOVE [Prod. TrophyCat]."

Good drama for the "in-between"

If you're in between dramas, meaning running out of drama to watch or need a break from usual plot, this could be a nice filler during that time

Its nice to watch short drama, especially if you're tired of the dragging from Kdramas or the "take forever to confess" storyline in BL, or just general toxicity in BL.

Its cool to actually see couple progress fast enough in this drama.

I love how it's short and sweet. The couple is REALLY sweet.

I've enjoyed most episodes, but found that it's a bit rushed towards the ending. Last 2 episodes are somewhat hasty, especially episode 6

But, given at how short the drama is, they have done well.

An enjoyable series

This series had quite an intriguing plot, it was short but very entertaining.
The story was beyond fresh and amazing, the acting and chemistry among the 2 characters were also amazing.
Even though both of them start liking each other at first, we can agree that the dominant one fell first and I'm someone who usually likes that.
It started off kind of sad with one showing dislike to the other but he eventually got to like him, it was exciting to see that process.
I also loved the fact that there was another person in the story ( a rival) it really spiced up the story a bit more and made everything a bit more interesting.
Overall, it was a great series, the acting and the story was my most favourite thing of all...

A Warm Feeling Story

While this series was short and sweet (mostly), I enjoyed watching it.

The storyline was a bit different, the actors had great chemistry, the tears were emotional, as was the struggle to find out the one you were looking for was also a male. I also enjoyed the songs.

This was not a heavy hitting drama, no disapproving parents, no jealous girlfriend, no fighting, in other words it's not a passionate drama love story, but it conveys what it is intended to convey. So if you are looking for a short series with just a simple, but good storyline, you will enjoy this; as I did.

I am sure I will watch this again someday, but not real soon.

Not bad, but rather annoying

The only good thing i have to say about this drama is that it gave me inspiration to write again after almost 3 years of the biggest slump i ever had. Truth is, this drama is not bad, but somehow, it annoyed me. Specially the writer. I know that they have this clichê that one of the leads must be someone kind of "bad" so that the other leads will "change" them with the power of love, but this one.... i just couldn't swallow at all. Besides that, it's not that bad of idea for a drama. Just the execution that was a little... poor.

Has all the highs and lows of korean BLs

I loved this?! Why, though? It's Kissable Lips all over again!!! Premise is very interesting and unique (for a BL), execution is lacking. Most of its weaknesses can be atributed to insufficient runtime.

What I liked:

1. Pretty to look at, pretty sounding, emotionally devastating at times. Basically the same as most korean BLs I've ever watched (no shade intended (?), but I still can't comprehend how Ocean Likes Me can be korean drama)

2. Main actor (Jeon Chang Ha) was so beautiful I wanted to cry just looking at him ?

3. The story wasn't overdramatically unbelievable despite the premise. This one sounds weird, but hear me out. I'm sure many of you know UWMA. And while the show has done a lot of things well, it was also too much whenever they tried to use the "fateful connection" device. Almost cringey. I couldn't even get emotional during most of those moments (and I was lowkey traumatized by the opening scene for weeks). So while this story uses the same "string of fate" idea, it does it in a way that's easier to believe and relate to.

4. Leads have refreshingly open conversations. I know there is still some miscommunication involved, but compared to many other BLs, they actually voice their feelings!!!

What I didn't like:

1. Whoever voiced Jeong Ha Yeon's inner monologue sounded absolutely emotionless. Mostly tired. Almost like a robot. And some of those lines should have been pretty soul-crushing imo.

2. The ending was rushed. As expected. It's just too little time to progress through such conflict at good pacing, but I would have preffered them rushing the "before together" part, if it meant having at least one more episode's worth of screentime after the revelation.

3. SPOILER : The side guy was unnecessary. He wasn't a good rival. I'm still conflicted whether he even loved the ML, or was just a good, protective friend. END OF SPOILER

Overall feelings:

It's not perfect. It could be disappointing if you were looking forward to it based on the premise. But I stumbled on it when I was stressed, binged it at night and had a pretty great time!! Will rewatch ifwhen they make a movie out of it.
