Mistake of production which they lost 20 billion KW

In my opinion FL character was unnecessary i am not object on her acting or any thing HSZ is good model but acting she should practice for this if she interest in it i hope in future she will do her best
Writer should be sue for his work he thought he is a professional no he is not... he is worst writer. The story good when 2 ML character together plan for future, but when he includes FML character the story became worst. In my opinion writer should quite his job and do what is best for him. This story have so many hole plot like a time jump than taeoh realised he love Hywon and she married his friend. Then taeoh smart person but never knew about his friend motive. Its shocked me taeoh reaction so unnecessary and inha turn to evil. All the things make everyone confused.
Director fault is very big mistake he never guid FL its his fault he never properly guid her. He knew she is not professional but she struggled he never helped her. He cast a good supportive actors like Choi hee jin as Kang hee ju and lee ji hoon as kang seong ju they both are brilliant actors but they have little time screen all focus on main three lead and confusing story so please Disney plus work dont waste like this project hire some professional people who save your money

Huge disappointment!

The drama began really well but as the episodes progressed it became boring. The storyline was really dragged and some scenes just didn't make sense. The most disappointing thing was the female lead, she had the same facial expression in all scenes. The casting was superb but the storyline just sucked towards the end.

Definitely not first rate

This is a chaebol melodrama. When Han Taeoh, a poverty-stricken but intelligent and smart young man teams up with Kang Inha, the illegitimate son of a chaebol family to help each other rise to the top, they did not expect their plans to be interrupted by selfish desires or the presence of a girl, Na Hyewon.

This drama's plot is utterly captivating. The dialogue is also realistic and convincing. Being a drama where issues on assets, inheritance, finances, ambition and greed are dominant, the tone is quite serious.

Although the drama has the tendency to draw audience in, there were some parts i found disappointing.

Th impossible heir has unlikeable characters. Almost everyone in the drama is either greedy and wants to even covet what's not theirs or overly ambitious and would make use of any available person or opportunity to rise to the top.

Another point of criticism has to do with the female lead's acting which was very terrible. This is my first ever drama of Hong Su Zu and it was a huge let down. Her character as Na Hyewon was effortlessly flawed. Her inability to show diverse facial expressions was evident in every scene of hers. Even in situations that required sorrowful expressions, she came off as stoic. However, as a rookie, i'd give her the benefit of the doubt hoping she'd grow and improve with time.

Although the drama ended on a good note, it wasn't satisfying. For me, it was poorly executed and lacked certain details. All in all, the impossible heir wasn't bad, just that it could have used more story development.

Don't waste your time

I beleive that every drama even if it's trash , cringey , illogical or even immoral has a kind of audience , some kind of entertainment value which makes us watch them .But for this drama , maybe you are a die hard fan of the actors or just want to curse at your screen (stress watching) kinda recommended .But otherwise pls don't waste your time on this.Even all the high budget , ost and talented cast couldn't save this drama because of the crappy plot , underdeveloped characters , really couldn't connect with any of the leads couldn't understand their motivations really wished the worst for them to happen.Rather than the drama the comments in the mdl section and social media were more interesting than the drama itself.Special mention for my girl heeju and the hacker guy only characters I liked in this drama and were relatable.

genuinely would like to have a word with the writer

The Impossible Heir was a drama that I went into with extremely high expectations because of the main leads and trailers, however, I was left with even more disappointment. It lacked ingenuity altogether and at no point in the duration of the show were certain plot devices fully explained or even utilised.

The Good:
Honestly, there isn't much to this list, but i'm gonna try anyways
1. Eye candy- as usual the actors are definitely a pleasure to see on the screen, but whether the script did justice to their abilities is highly questionable

2. New talent- I loved seeing actors I haven't been introduced/haven't seen much of. Choi heejin was an absolute scene stealer and I kept waiting for more plot presence for her. Jang maru was another actor I'm looking forward to and he did well in the role of sunwoo wan.

The Not-So-Good:
This drama had a number of fatal flaws that made it a tiring watch and I really hope the writer takes fan feedback.
1. The lack of character building- rather than a lack of character development, I feel this drama lacked in its character building. At no point during the first half of the drama did I understand the characters and their motives. The generic and yet terribly explained trauma said nothing about the characters and the time skips were too large to grasp the development of their dynamic. Even after the show had established a certain narrative, I was unable to understand the need for the initial premise of taeoh and inha's friendship. taeoh climbing up to his position was his own effort and clearly his fathers wrongdoings didnt seem to be a scratch on him. so what really was the need for the collaboration bw the two.

2. The FL- contrary to popular opinion here, the FLs acting-while stiff- didn't really bother me as much as her character did. Her character was practically useless-she contributed just about nothing to the groups plans after a point, wasnt of any help to taeohs final plan and the drive to marry inha made no sense either considering her talent was being acknowledged at her workplace. The kiss was entirely unnecessary and only became taeoh's weakness.

3. Unexplored plot devices- So many characters in this drama seemed to be there solely for the sake of adding characters and deluding the viewers to believe in the complexity of the situation. taeoh's dad existed solely as a set up and at no point did the 'murderers son' title matter except for a few minutes in ep 11. Similarly, hyewons mother only existed for the betrayal point to show that inha wasnt into hyewon. Heeju's existence seemed like a filler at her character never seemed to have any purpose.

4. The unnecessary romance- much like other parts of this drama, hyewon and taeohs romantic affection had no proper explanation, elaboration or even appropriate closure and was a distraction from the main plot that was getting unnecessarily tangled by their absurd romance line.

There is definitely a lot to unwrap when talking about where the drama fell short but all in all it seemed like a concept that started to birth a 20 episode makjang but was forced into the mould of a 12 ep drama. Was most definitely disappointed at the choice of script for the MLs and would not recommend this to someone who isn't an avid fan of either.

Poor script and bad directing. Waste of talented actors.

I like this type of stories - competition, love triangles, crimes, revenge, big corporation, etc but here the script was really too bad. Jumping from one story line to another, unfinished ends (like what happened to Michael Chang from « H Investment »??), roles are not developed (what was the purpose of FL?). Very very sloppy job, what a pity. The actors were great by the way, but their talent was wasted.

well…

I am 100% torn about this drama. parts I loved. parts I hated. I wish the drama would have gone in a different direction than it did but the last episode was surprisingly good given that I had my doubts in between.

the love triangle was unnecessary af in my opinion and I am glad they ended things the way they did.

can’t recommend and also can recommend. this is a tricky one.

my favourite part was Kang In Ha though. the way the actor played this role. extraordinary! seriously can’t get over how great he was!

THE WEIRDEST BUSINESS DRAMA WITH NO PROPER BUSINESS

The starting episodes were great actually pretty since they were not that harsh and revolved round the high school lives of three students with 3 goals. Everyone seemed pretty normal but the ten years leap was absurd. Instead of focusing on the company, the writer forcefully tried to build an unfaithful relation between the leads which was very uncomfortable to watch, THAT RUINED THE IMAGE OF FRIENDHSIP BETWEEN THE LEDS The business scenes did not make sense and most of the influential characters were rotten mangos. Moving on, the drama stabilized when one of the leads was directly called out as being a villain and then we get a flashback of how he had evil intentions since the beginning. THAT RUINED THE IMAGE OF FRIENDSHIP BETWEEN THE LEADS. I think the drama became more interesting but lost its point in a way as well. Anyways, the ending worked well. The FL character was written absolutely trash, she would be the most self centered character who expects others to give to her while she wont return anything, for she is a supposedly intelligent, like huh? That's straight up being greedy bruh. The 2FL was the star of the show. She was such a mood and the only character we can call a human, since everyone else was begging for money, wealth and power.

Unnecessary Love Triangle

If this series omitted Na Hyewon the series would’ve been fine. She can be an afterthought character like the first son’s wife for all the impact the had. The hacker had way more significance than her.

Inha is an idiot who tried to killed the golden goose, Taeoh, so he got what he deserved. Killing himself was too good of an ending for him. I would’ve liked the chairman to pay someone to shank him just to the cusp of death, heal and get beaten on a regular basis for
1. Sending his best friend/loyal dog to jail
2. Stealing his best friend’s girl
3. Killing his brother
4. Sending some to shank his other loyal dog
5. attempted murder of his father 2x
6. Choking his wife because he’s jealous after he stole her from his bestie
7. Treating the kindest loyal friends like dogs for emotional and criminal support
8. Just being a POS
9. Killing Taeoh’s mom
10. Being shady AF

Taeoh gets an award for being the most loyal friend who serve an undeserving person. I am glad he and Hyewon didn’t get together. He should get with Huijui after she’s traveled the world and grown up a bit.

The chairman is a domineering narcissist but he would not be the chairman if he wasn’t.

I want to like this series more but NaHyewan ruined it for me. It took me a while to finish it as a t was intense but flow was so inconsistent due to Na Hyewon ruining the flow with completely unnecessary scenes. I think most people would score this series higher if she wasn’t in it.

Why can't the women act

Everyone was annoyed with the FL but honestly, none of the women gave 100% and were generally annoying. It felt like they were just there.Choi Hee Jin probably did the best but overall, still underwhelming.

The story had so much potential but you have to wade through 6 episodes before it really gets watch worthy. It really could have been developed so much better but it just lacked something until the end.

Lee Jun Young and Lee Jae Woo absolutely killed their characters. Luckily, they were the only reason I stuck it out and in the end, I'm glad I did. Definitely not a thriller and was almost predictable. I ended up fast forwarding through so much of the first 6 episodes that I didn't miss a thing.

If you like out two main ML's, it's worth the watch but be prepared to want to move through the episode quickly.

High Hopes, Disappointing Outcome

Impossible Heir turned out to be quite different from what I had anticipated. Going into it, my expectations were high, fueled by anticipation for a drama that promised an intriguing storyline. Unfortunately, the series fell short of those expectations, leading to a sense of disappointment. One of the main aspects that contributed to my dissatisfaction was the portrayal of the FL. Her character didn't resonate with me, which significantly impacted my overall enjoyment of the drama. While the premise of the drama had potential, the execution and character development, particularly regarding the FL, left much to be desired.

King Maker becomes the King....

The ending was satisfying ... but it wasn't impactful enough?? I'm so glad that Tae Oh and Hye Won didn't end up together. Thank goodness, I was silently wishing the entire last two episodes for them not to end up together, or otherwise I'd really be disappointed.

Umm.... I'm actually glad it's over..... but what make me so sad is all the effort that went to waste. The acting was good, the directors were good, but the writer was just shit, making it all go to waste. Lee Jae Wook in Suits for almost 10 episodes was a candy to the eyes... but that's it..... that's the only thing that got me going until the 12the epi.

The story overall is told in a very shallow way and made complicated uselessly, when it could have been told in a much simpler way, especially HTO's king-making road.

And at the end of last episode, I can understand why the chairman made HTO the heir, I mean he was the one who was capable enough to protect the company and also save his life. But Seunju?? He just has a sudden realization that he didn't want all that....like really? And what??... We don't even get an explanation as to why In Ha did to what he did?? So many loose ends.

I hope Lee Jae Wook will get a better project next time...
