As the rumors about Li Shu and Feng Teng increase within the company, Shan Shan returns home, where everyone helps her analyze the situation. Shuang Yi thinks Feng Teng’s expression, “Give it a try,” is problematic in itself because if he can “try” with Shan Shan, then naturally, there’s nothing to stop him from trying with others as well. Shuang Yi even asks Shan Shan if Feng Teng is really her boyfriend or if they are just friends. (Source: Viu)

Four Stars

This was definitely a miscommunication on both of their parts but manly on ML. The FL is too new to relationships and to unaware to try to read into what he isn’t telling her. Idk of anyone who would just be ok with someone saying “and that’s the end of it” without needing somewhat of an explanation as to why. I get that maybe he wasn’t ready to tell her something so personal since they haven’t been dating long but the girl at least is owed something as to why he won’t celebrate what to her is so important. She may not have told him as much but she was pretty enthusiastic enough and very straightforward about this being her first Vday for him to not give her something. If someone is feeling insecure in a relationship it may just be because the other person hasn’t given them much of a reason to feel secure. His silent and brooding periods would definitely cause for some misunderstandings especially because she’s been opening up more and more to him and he is not reciprocating at all. I feel like he was more open with her before they started dating. Now he seems very closed off and just expects her to “know” things. Also why is this considered being patient with her. She’s not a mind reader. And she was very upfront about being very new to relationships and love in general. I don’t think he is giving her enough even if she is too shy to just outright ask him.

Dealing with comunication issues in a new relationship is so realsitc!

Dealing with communication issues in a new relationship is so realistic! However, why does everything blow back as being Shan Shan's fault.

Issue one Valentine's Day, instead of hurting her by simply saying he doesn't celebrate it would have been more to the point to say that his parents died that day. Shan Shan immediately understood when she found out and felt bad for pushing it. She's kind hearted enough to give up Valentine's day for his feelings. Yet everyone keeps acting like it's because she wants to celebrate so bad. It's simply stressful because he won't talk to her.

Shan Shan's revelation is that she has to hear about everything from everyone else. Yet, it's her fault because her boyfriend has to be patient with her. When the reality is that he's not communicating. So the longer Feng Teng won't talk to you about important matters the more important you are to him? The thing is Shan Shan can't always be the one to compromise, waiting to hear from him kills her. That's one thing I've never been able to stand in a relationship, a partner unwilling to communicate. I believe in getting your thoughts together, but when you have to go to others to find out how your signifigant other thinks is too much.

This was a great episode to highlight the budding issues of communicating in a new relationship. However, I don't like how Shan Shan and everyone else makes it see like it's her fault. She's the one required to be patient for Feng Teng to tell her anything! Overall I don't like it when it's always the woman's fault. This type of thinking is why women always come off as over thinking things. Because the other person isn't communicating.

Feng Teng is holding her at arm's length . . . creating the thoughts that the trail period of their relationship is coming to an end. I find myself more frustrated by this drama and wish it would take the unique ideas to better places.

One Valentine's Night

This is the best episode I've seen so far. After the waiting game and almost losing my temper with Shan Shan for thinking too much, she finally understands how celebrating Valentine's can't compare to the loss Feng Teng has to remember on this date.

At first, I made the mistake of taking these scenes as a simple passing of events when in fact it led to one wonderful revelation to another. :)

Another reason for this being a great episode is the major development of the second leads. I am rooting so hard for Zheng QI. Even though the man is a bit of a player, he's the best bestie a man could ever have.
