High School Debut is a 2011 Japanese film based on the manga of the same name. Haruna Nagashima (Ito Ono) devoted herself to softball while in middle school. Now that she is in high school, Haruna believes its time find a boyfriend. Unfortunately for Haruna, she didn't pay attention to trends and is now clueless on how to attract a boy. Through a fortuitous event, Haruna encounters popular upperclassman Yoh Komiyama (Junpei Mizobata) Haruna asks Yoh to teach her how to become attract to boys. Yoh agrees but with one catch. She can't fall in love with him.

    As a movie you would watch again and again it has very little value. However the classic story combined with cheesy sets, cast and scenes make it a good film to add to your watch list when you are feeling depressed, simply because you will either giggle either at the outrageousness of the characters or laugh out loud at the strangeness of the film as a whole.

    I watched this movie when i had nothing better to do and i think it was fair enough bcz i didn't have much expectations for so it was nice to watch a movie that would go beyond your expectations. I'm familiar with the lead actor i watched him in several dramas and i totally like him but it' the first time that i see the lead actress and i believe he covered up 4 her and he's the reason that this movie got my attetion and my approval as a good movie. The story of makeover is known but this time it was special with many great events that even made it captivating. This is one of the movies that rom-com lovers should watched and even read more

    Cute movie, but I've seen better. It made me think of Lovely Complex, the two are based on a manga, so the way of filming is quite similar... And I didn't like Lovely Complex (the anime is soooo much better)

    But OMG, Junpei is really hot... and I love his shoes u__u.

    it was soo much better than i expected xD i read the manga and i do have to admit they didnt include everything but thats understandable since its a movie :P
    nevertheless i thoroughly enjoyed it and it was definitely not a waste of my time ^^
    oh and junpei is effing hot here *o*

    Great story. The big shoujo fans out there will like it. I enjoyed watching it, however I wish it had included a lot more that was in the manga. It would have been better if it was made into a drama serious. It seemed almost rushed. Non the less, I still enjoyed it like I said. I was also pretty excited when I found out they had made a movie, as I really enjoyed the manga. 8/10

    thought it was different from the manga... i mean lots of the scenes are completely mixed or at different stage...hmmm...

    Remind me a lot "Lovely complex" live, same sensei, same opening ( puffy song ), same thing with colorfull romm and others details like exchange of mails, way of filming, gight coloured and styled characters and all..
    And of course, I loved it ! :D

    please,you japanese people,please learn how to make a movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Don't use ever again those lame scenes in movies,doramas cos' this is not supossed to look like anime & manga.Please,listen to my prayer and let me see some good movies although the story might be from manga/anime.And please teach young actors how to act!
