The drama is about love of singles in their 30s. Hong Nan Hee is an ordinary worker at a publishing firm, she's a girl who always falls in and out of love since she was young until she realizes that an old classmate and her best friend, Byun Hyung Tae, has always been there for her. Hyung Tae may seem to be a good catch in the eyes of many women but he's only a cowardly boy to Nan Hee whom he grew up with. A well-done drama about two lifelong friends, who once they move in together, realize how much they mean to each other. Where does the line between friendship and love start to blur?

This is a heartwarming drama that may seem a bit cliched and predictable off the bat. But the journey to the end, with these endearing characters, are worth it.

The main leads have wonderful chemistry with one another and the plot moves along in a natural and realistic manner. The side characters are not just for filler, they are interesting and well-fleshed as well.

I really identified with the character's struggles on a personal level : a lot of the tensions in the drama come from the struggles of a ticking clock (age) and

Loved: I loved that the leads remain friends for the majority of the dorama - once they started living together it would have been very easy (and not at all unusual) for the writers to throw them headlong into a co-habitation romance. 9 End 2 Outs is easily the most realistic exploration of the friendship vs lover dynamic I have seen in a dorama. The soundtrack is also enjoyable and complements the onscreen action well.

Didn't Love: Although adorable in his own way, I felt the story improved when Jung Joo was absent, ditto Ji Sun. The story did drag a little at times, but nothing like most K-Doramas - in fact I think I actually enjoyed the second half more than the

  • Although the plot of these two dramas are very different I feel like they are similar in two large ways. The writing, acting and the situations of both dramas are very mature and set in an adult world with adult problems. The other way they are similar is the lead couple are friends who turn into lovers. If watched The World They Live In and appreciate the mature themes you may find that same quality appealing in 9 End 2 Outs.

I actually think this is quite an underrated drama. Overall the entire thing was enjoyable. I’m not gonna lie, the fact that there’s not much ‘old people’ drama makes it all the more fun lol. I applaud how well the main characters are portrayed in a sense that’s very realistic and therefore easily relatable to the audience. I guess the only thing that kinds makes me disappointed in is the ending…it didn’t hit it out of the ball park for me, but it’s neither bad. Still, it could have been much better than how it was.
