    1. Lost You Forever

    Chinese Drama - 2023, 39 episodes

    7.0

Honestly, I had mixed feelings about this drama. While some parts were enjoyable, I didn't quite love it overall. Here's what worked and what didn't:

    Cons:
    - The constant reminder of "I'm a girl" in every episode felt repetitive and unnecessary.
    - The reverse-harem aspect, while expected, was a bit much for my taste. The constant attention from multiple male characters felt overplayed.
    - I felt a bit lost and disconnected at times, especially when delving into the backstories of side characters. This is probably since this is a sequel to the FL's mother's story as this is based on Chinese mythology apparently
    - Personally, I enjoyed the FL's character as a village physician rather than as a princess
    - Some interactions between the FL and Xiang Liu felt forced and unnatural, especially given how violent he is to. The transition from hostility to warmth felt rushed and not well-developed.
    - Certain scenes, like Xiang Liu feeding off FL's blood, felt cringeworthy and uncomfortable to watch.

    Pros:
    - The actors did a phenomenal job with their roles, especially considering the challenging dynamics and character arcs.
    - The use of each actor's own voice added authenticity and depth to the characters.
    - The primordial setting and sunny atmosphere in the earlier episodes provided a unique backdrop.
    - One of the male leads, particularly the kind-hearted one, stood out with his gentle and compassionate demeanor.
    - The male leads were well-cast and visually appealing, adding to the drama's charm.
    - Ye Shiqi/Ting Shujian's character, portrayed by Deng Wei, was particularly compelling and handsome.
    - Yang Zi's acting was another highlight, bringing depth and emotion to her character.
    - Unlike typical idol romance dramas, the storyline didn't solely revolve around romance, adding layers of complexity to the characters' lives and goals.
