This drama was a fun ride, with all the antics and schemes of the family members competing for a huge sum of money, and the one grandson who cares for his grandmother over money. His family thinks he has no ambition and is just lazy, but isn't that what everyone thinks of artists? His moments with his grandma were the best parts of the show, they were warm and touching.

Most of the family was pretty stupid in the way they thought about money, they'd blow it in one day and be on the streets the next, either b/c they were addicted to shopping, or were easily conned into believing in get rich quick schemes. and we have the adopted son of the grandma who is around the same age as her grandson that I love ^-^ He would try everything to "steal" away the inheritance - why? b/c he had such a huge debt on his shoulders from doing things he shouldn't & he has a sick mom to try & take care of. All of these reasons made me ask his one and only blood-related sister to trick the family into believing she was a lawyer (with the help of the internet, books & a couple 'real' lawyers) so she could keep track of where the money was flowing and how they could get their hands on it, as time goes by she keeps feeling more and more guilty for doing what her brother asked of her & tries to convince herself to run away more than once. She gets conflicted between helping her brother & caring for the family that treats her so kind, not to mention the grandson she finds herself drawn to <3

The grandma has gone down in my books as the best grandma in dramaland ever to exist - I loved her character! and her clothing style and hairstyle were awesome for a grandma ;) I mean how many grandmas would have pink in their hair? ;D She also has a heartbreaking reason why she left her family for America for 50yrs - if I were her I would never forgive her husband -_- He was horrible and did things to her that are disgraceful for anyone to do no matter what they thought to someone they love.

Dong Sook (the grandson) was so adorably cute on this drama, I wanted to wrap him in my arms so many times, and peck him on the cheek for being so gosh darn cute ^^ I loved his character, he was faithful, loyal and trustworthy - the way he talked with his caring sweet soft voice was like heaven to my ears. The way he cared for his grandma was like no one else in that family, he truly sincerely loved her. They were almost like 2 peas in a pod. A pair that couldn't be beat ^-^ They were the perfect team. He also slowly finds himself drawn to this mysterious lawyer who came to his home, and starts to find himself falling in love <3 When things get revealed little by little can his love for her stand the rough waters that are breaking a bit of his trust in her?

The music was perfect for this drama, my favorite song was 'Cry' by Bae Ki Sung (no it's not a sad ballad - it was the entertaining song of the show) I still sing to it & love it.

I will definitely re-watch this someday - I loved every episode and especially the grandma, Dong Sook & Joon Hee (the 'fake' lawyer) - as well as that mischievous little devil Joon Ha (the adopted son).

I personally highly recommend this drama :D

I really enjoyed this fun yet serious drama - It had me rolling with laughter so many times from episode 1-12
Story: what couldn't be entertaining about young guys turning into grandpa's in the span of a few seconds lol - this drama takes them on the journey to trying to find the culprit who made them old so they can return young again.
Cast: My FAVORITE: Jung Woo (Heechul) <3 I loved him on this drama - and I shipped him with Eun Ji since episode 1 <3 - after him I like Mr.Pink lol - he was so funny (the most comedic one of the bunch I swear lol) - Of course I started this drama b/c I heard Choi Jin Hyuk was cast ;) but he wasn't the reason I continued to watch the rest of the drama - it was a really great drama - it would have been a shame if I had missed it!
Music: Very Entertaining - all of it lol the BGM and the sound effects - hilarious and very fitting to all the scenes -
Re-watch Value: Very High - I seriously feel like re-watching this right away.
Overall it was a very good, very entertaining drama with a great plot.

What a powerful and touching drama - I love Prince Sado now <3

Story: Based on the true story of King Yeongju & Prince Sado - a powerful display of rulers who think differently - The king cherishes power and authority over humanity and the Prince desires equality for everyone - from children of traitors, slaves, concubines and commoners. We see him come head to head with his father countless times - and I'd cheer him on every time. If you read the history of these two (which I recommend you don't) then you'll know it will be a bittersweet end. But even so, even if I did cry a bucket of tears, the end still left me hopeful of a better future to come ;)

Cast: Prince Sado (Lee Je Hoon) the son of King Yeongju (Han Seok Kyu) a honest and righteous prince with enduring principals - if he believed something was wrong he wouldn't ignore it - He has my respect for that, when some people would cave - he never did, he stood his ground even if he had to suffer immensely for it - he earned trust of his "followers" and the viewers <3 Plus he is handsome to boot^^ His eyes would captivate me when he'd speak - and the emotions displayed there were magical <3 King Yeongju a political terror if I may say so - he didn't blink if he killed someone or did wrong things - he fought tooth and nail with his son throughout the entire drama - he'd make me really mad most all the time and sometimes his discussions early on drove me up the wall - but the actor really did well in displaying his love/hate for his son. Seo Ji Dam (Kim Yoo Jung) I liked her while she lasted for 13 episodes (the older version I could care less about so I won't even mention her) she was great when she was Sado's sidekick and helped him out. When she's "older" she's just kind of there... Lady Hye Gyeong (Park Eun Bin) I didn't like her when the drama started but as time passed she grew on me and I could see the love she had for Sado (even though her love for power would sometimes speak louder). Shin Heung Bok (Seo Jun Yeong) he had a guest role when the drama started but he became the reason Sado & his father came head to head with each other - even though his time was short - he left a deep impact. The rest of the cast did a splendid job in their roles too ;)

Music: "Erase and Erase" by The One (my favorite) & ??? by Block B

Re-watch Value: 8/10 It's very political but really draws you in - so I will re-watch this again someday - even if only to see Lee Je Hoon (Prince Sado)'s eyes <3 I LOVED his deep dark eyes - they pulled me in every time ;D

I highly recommend anyone who likes historical or political dramas to check this one out - you won't regret it ;)

I really liked this drama, I recently re-watched this drama this past year (2013) and I enjoyed it just about as much as I did when I watched it the first time.
Obviously there is a switch of birth at the hospital by a nurse filled with revenge against the villain.

Cast: I loved most of the characters, and hated a few too. My favorite was not the main lead (but he was the reason I watched this drama the first time lol) I fell in love with Park Hae Jin's character (this is actually the drama where I became a fan of Park Hae Jin) - he plays the good guys son raised by the villain - he has a lot of pain in his heart b/c he is good-natured but get's forced to do things at times that go against his conscience. He does what his "father" orders him to do and puts a seal on his heart in order to act it out. He will commit one MAJOR sin in this drama - but as the drama progresses you feel for him again and he wiggles his way into your heart. (I personally found him more attractive than the lead guy) and I liked his "love story" more than the lead guys too lol. Don't get me wrong though I still loved the lead guy ALOT and I loved his "love story" too (but his is more tragic - his pulls ALOT of tears out of your eyes *sniff *sniff)
The villains son - to be honest I liked him a bit at the beginning and then really started to detest him somewhere in the middle (believe me you probably will too - if you get emotionally attached to characters as I do).

Music: was AMAZING!!! I loved how the producers kind of gave each character their OWN song (if you read the lyrics you'll understand what I mean - reading the lyrics as you watch the drama is a true tear jerker)

Re-watch Value: Is a definite (since I have already re-watched this drama :D )

I enjoyed their take on these historical figures - it was very interesting to watch!

********Skip 'Storyline' if you don't want to know the actual History of this drama before you start it *******But it would be better to read up on the history of each character as they appear - so you will be prepared for what is coming & so you can see how their take on the historical characters.*************

Storyline: We follow the drama as it takes us through the end of Seonjo's reign to when Gwanghae takes the throne, when Gwanhae get's usurped by Injo, the following rebellion, the 2nd Manchu war, Sohyun's demise & finally to Bongrim taking the throne. We also get a fictionalized version of Princess Jungmyung's disappearance & return after they had thought she had died.

I loved watching Cha Seung Won play/portray Gwanghae! <3 My favorite character by far in this drama!!! and he was GREATLY missed after episode 30 :'( I thought he was a really good ruler! Who ended up having a couple of bad subjects that lead to others misunderstanding him. His scenes were the best! I loved watching him give commands & do things in secret! When Kim Jae Won appeared and played Injo - I was pleased by his performance (his first time playing an actual bad guy lol) I pitied his character in this drama a lot - he was such a misguided/mislead king :( He wanted to be a good King but ended up being the opposite - an incompetent King who always listened to the wrong council. I also enjoyed Prince Sohyun's entrance into this drama ^^ He would have been a great ruler! He simply wanted to help his people & his country! I cried when he left us :'( I think he was on from ep.39-44 :) One thing: Seo Kang Joon & Lee Yeon Hee needed to improve their acting - I thought they did pretty much okay during the first 30-35 episodes - but after that they always had the same expressions, same reactions, and were rather poor actors (what happened?) *sigh* SKJ as Joo Won was really innocent and almost nerd-ish in his actions lol - It was cute ^^ I enjoyed his scenes with Gwanghae the most & there were a couple scenes of him with Jungmyung that I really liked as well ;) LYH played Jungmyung - (basically her character was the most fictitious one in the drama b/c the Princess according to Wikipedia stayed out of politics completely - whereas in this drama she is deeply involved in politics - enough to make several enemies - & there is this whole "prophecy" thing surrounding her - that I honestly found annoying in the earlier part of the drama (they had to have some basis for her "revenge" stuff) Her character when she grows up was good for the most part - I started to like her once she let go of her anger towards Gwanghae. She was strong & had a "stronger" part to play in the latter half).

Music: I liked the songs by Lena Park & Yesung the most - and I'd laugh whenever they played this instrumental ost that seriously sounded like they were saying "pyeha" lol - every time it came on - I said and again with the "pyeha" song lol

If I ever rewatched this it would probably only be Cha Seung Won's scenes as Gwanghae - they were the most impactful and meaningful parts to me :)

As someone else said on this page: "the first 30-35 episodes were addictive, after that it went up and down." I remained interested in the story line - up until King Injo dies - Injo lasted until episode 47? I think. After that I started to lose interest in the drama - and kind of pushed myself through the remaining few episodes lol... But, I don't regret watching - if you are interested in Korean History (even if you've read up on it on Wikipedia - like I did lol) and you'd like to see it "come alive" before your eyes (even if parts are fictionalized - like the Princess being involved in politics at all) then you should enjoy this drama overall - despite the poor acting of SKJ & LYH in the latter half...

I really enjoyed this drama, I thought it was original and very well thought out and directed. I loved how each episode had a different title and how they worded things by the end of the episode to complete the titles meaning.
Cast: My favorite couple was Kang Jin Gu & Ma Se Young (Kim Young Kwang & Kyung Soo Jin) - they were the couple I was rooting for the most. I picked up the drama for Kim Young Kwang (as he has always played supporting characters in dramas I have previously watched, I thought he deserved a lead role and since this drama was giving him one, I had to watch it, and I'm ever so glad I did. This was the first drama I saw Kyung Soo Jin in but she was a great actress and I loved her scenes with Jin Gu <3 My second favorite couple would have to be Kang Min Gu & Soo Ah/Bong Sook (Yook Sung Jae & Park Cho Rong) they definitely grew along the way from not knowing each other to finding out everything about each other - they were sweet to watch. I liked all the cast/characters in this drama.
Music: Very good - indie (which I usually don't listen too, but I have heard of Standing Egg which was in this drama ;) ) if anyone knows what song it was where a male singer sang "yeppo (music) yeppo (music)..." ectra - they sang the same word - translated "pretty" over and over slowly - I loved that song but I can't find it - PM me if you know - thanks :D
Re-watch value: 7/10 - I'd probably re-watch this drama on a rainy day sometime - it's perfect for that - it's really cozy and nice <3

Another drama that gets a 10 across the board from me lol, This was seriously such a good drama though, my heart is overflowing now after finishing it (how will I recover? <3 ) The beginning is really sweet and romantic and very enjoyable to watch - I was drawn in more by each episode but I was totally sunk by episode 11 (what can I say - I LOVE action mixed with desperate romance <3 )

Cast: Park Shi Ho (Seung Yu) he's a pretty good lookin' guy to begin with but take his hair down and put dark clothes on him - man you got a stud ;D Seriously, I have a thing for guys dressed like that <3 He starts off as a cheerful playboy type that changes when tragedy strikes his family - he then transforms into this Wildman for a few episodes (seriously, my sister walked in and asked me if I was watching a tarzan movie lol) and after that he goes into serious hottie mode - I can't not fangirl over him right now <3 Moon Chae Won (Se Ryeong) a very strong and brave woman who will risk anything for the man she loves. I loved her character and I applauded her several times (I even cheered once). She is exceptionally beautiful in this drama - her eyes are like does eyes - so pretty and so big and clear ;D Hong Soo Hyun (Princess Kyung Hye) when I started this I honestly wasn't that thrilled to see her after watching her very bad performance on Give Love Away earlier this year - I had put her on my blacklist - but after watching this drama I have to say she redeemed herself in my book and is now going to be removed from my blacklist. I really liked her character on here, I was slightly annoyed with her during a couple of the earlier episodes when her dad was alive but after that I loved her. Song Jong Ho (Shin Myun) - I hated his guts so much >_< I was anticipating his death. I loved Seung Yu's side-kicks from episode 11+ ;D they were a great addition to the show ;D And I adored his little niece - such a cutie <3 I could mention more but I covered the main ;D

Music: I loved all of it, but one song in particular (the very first song played on the very first episode) sounds identical to the Christmas song (Ring Christmas Bells) that half the time I couldn't take it seriously - I liked it but my mind would sing the Christmas song that I know lol - My favorite part's of the OST come by episode 13+ (Perfect songs with the perfect singers) <3

Re-watch Value: 10 - I will definitely re-watch this drama again (I might skip some of the "elder" characters scenes early on though lol)

Highly recommended ;D

This movie was so much fun! The right amount of comedic elements mixed with mystery and crime solving! For those like me who enjoy a good laugh but who aren't overly fond of Comedy genre's in general - this was the perfect mix!

I loved our two leads! They were more alike than they realized :P One a "veteran" detective who has experience in the field and one a "wannabe" detective. We see them clash time and time again, the novice is constantly getting shooed away, but that doesn't make him give up - especially when his friend is no in danger! He gets even more involved and the reluctant detective seems to have no choice but to team up with him in order to save his partner. *I feel like I've seen a similar movie before *especially with the baby involved* but I can't recall the name of that one...* Anyways it was lots of fun seeing these two together and see them actually grow on one another :P and I liked the ending too! ^^ These poor guys though XD Having to "beg" their wives so often lol ah, that was funny to see :P

"Women are creatures to be respected." <*snickers* it was so funny why they said that - I actually pitied these dudes a little :P

Music: well suited for a mystery detective solving movie :)

I would definitely re-watch this movie at some point - it's lots of fun!

Heads up - this drama is virtually impossible to find online - I caved in and purchased it from ioffer for $75 - it was worth the money to me since I really wanted to watch it and am a fan of Park Hae Jin & Lee Seung Gi - I'd say if you're a fan of either of those actors it's well worth the money (if you like family dramas & really do want to watch this).

Story: About 4 daughters (Deokchill, Seolchill, Michill & Ttengchill) who are raised by a very strict soldier father, the oldest one has a hard marriage w/out love she ends up divorcing and finds a new life for herself; Seolchill (a strong & softhearted woman)(there is a secret surrounding her) she works as a soldier at the army base where Hanam (Park Hae Jin) first meets her (Hanam was the whole reason that kept me watching this drama - his character was practically perfect - he was so sweet and loving, sincere and the type who would never give up on his love - I loved him to pieces); Michill who is a very stubborn willful girl who speaks her mind - she considers it being honest while others take it as being rude (which it kinda is) she eventually^^ grows up ;) She goes after Ilhan to spite her sister Seolchill but in the process ends up falling in love with him (she was Ilhans first love). then there is Ttengchill - might I say the most absent minded one of the bunch? lol, she'd crack me up, I'd roll my eyes at how stupid she could be half the time haha - she winds up pregnant by mr.player/mama's boy Taeja (Lee Seung Gi) and they get married and go through ups and downs in there marriage while learning to adapt and mature together (p.s there is a side romance with Taeja's mother & Ilhan's uncle^^).

Cast: My favorite couple was Seolchill & Hanam after them it would be Taeja & Ttengchill.

Music: about 5 songs I remember... the theme song, 2 ballad songs, I song I can't find, and & "One Summer Night, I summer dream" song & besides the 2 songs the cast sang on the drama "ttengbal" "honeybee" (Taeja's family) and "step step you don't know what you got until it's gone" the grandma's regular song lol (they will stick in your head and you'll start singing along with them - wish I could find them)

I thought this drama had a good pace, there were a few characters that were in a few episodes that I didn't like and wish would disappear and luckily they do ;) one I remember the most and really didn't like was a navy officer that Seolchill's dad introduces her to - ugh the most boring man on the planet - and he actually thought he was romantic yuck. (when he talked I thought of something I NEVER think of when I listen to people - i thought he'd be horrible in ____ (i'll leave it to your imagination lol)).

I really loved the last 10 mins of the show lol the things that happened in the span of 3yrs was just too funny ;)

Re-watch value: 7.0 it's a family drama and long - but i wouldn't mind re-watching Hanam's scenes over and over again <3

I loved every minute of this drama, it has made it to my top 5 Family dramas (of this length) ! Best family drama of 2014 so far!

Story: a divorced mother of 3 girls ends up moving next door to her "oppa" and when families meet sparks fly (good and bad) lol, we see the process of her daughters falling in love and there's someone for the mother too ;) anyone who likes family dramas, this is one you aren't going to want to miss!!!

Cast: Jae U (LSW) my personal favorite and probably the "main main" male lead - his characters never fail to make me fall for them - he was a true sweetheart <3 Da Jeong the second eldest daughter and my favorite female lead. In U who is a bit childish but funny at some points, sometimes I was a little annoyed but most of the time he'd pull a smile from my face with his childish ways - especially around his brother ;) Da Ae a pharmacist who comes to love a man with a teenager, she was nice but I hated the way she'd cry. Da In the youngest daughter a photographer and finds love along the way too - hers was shown the least but it was cute when it was shown. Seo Lee, a lot of people didn't like her - but I liked her since the first time we get to see her, she was always nice although a bit materialistic at first (I knew that would change). Then we have the grandparents - I loved them!!! Whenever they'd sing "what about my age" I'd sing along with a smile on my face :D Min Shik a very nice warm-hearted father (love it when this actor plays a good decent guy). the only people I never really liked was Shin Ae - aggravating through almost the entire show (although it never ruined the drama for me b/c all the rest of the characters wouldn't give in to her) & Ho Jang (the girls despicable father). Hee Joo a mysterious man a first, I always wondered why he was always with Da In but after a while I kind of figured it out and then things were revealed - I liked him for the most part. Ji Ho - he was cute, especially when his father came one time and we find out he takes after his daddy hehe ;) the only complaint I had about Song Jeong is her clothing!! it looked like she was in rags for most of the drama. Goong Young, I liked him "uncle" he was very persistent but never annoying - he was special.

Music: most enduring song: What About My Age by Hong Jin Young - I love that song so much!!!!

Re-watch value: 10/10 I will definitely find time to re-watch this drama someday :D

I marathoned this drama, I didn't watch it week to week, so I probably got different feelings from it then the other viewers. I enjoyed every moment of this drama - it never got boring or draggy for me. The sound effects were great most of the time - sometimes they were over-used (tvN likes to over-do sound effects sometimes though). Even though this drama deals with a serious topic like cancer - it delivers it in a more "peaceful" way then a melodrama way - it was easy enough to watch and I only cried a few times. Plus I liked how the ending was telling viewers to never give up hope & live life like it's a miracle - b/c every moment is a miracle. :D

The entire cast did a great job - every once in awhile I could see some over-acting going on (but I think the directors wanted it that way, so I won't complain b/c it did come across as comical that way). Lee Yoo Ri did great in her role as Cha Mi Rae, super hilarious & yet stubbornly proud... she played out every emotion perfectly! Cheers to her! I hope to see her in more dramas like this, rather than her usual "villain" type roles she's known for in her other dramas. Lee Dong Gun was great as Han Yeol, a very naïve and somewhat stupid loving man, I liked him but I also got annoyed by his "I'm going to throw everything away for love" type attitude he displayed at least 4xs on the show. Lee Re was awesome as Sa Rang "love" - it's my first time seeing this little girl on a drama and I can't wait to see more of her!

I can't forget the side characters like Seo Jun Yeong as Dr.Shin (I love this actor seriously!) <expect an article about him in the future> He always amazes me with his roles and he's SOOOO CUTE ?.? (I personally think he's a mix of So Ji Sub & Kim Rae Won) anyways - his character was fun to watch as the cute clumsy doctor who had a crush on Mi Rae (his sunbae) their interactions were adorable ^-^ Seo Ye Ji as Ji Hye is also a new face to me (I think she's pretty but has an odd voice) - she was overly comical - sometimes annoying but I did laugh several times with her "over-acting" - so I guess it worked lol.

All the baseball teammates did good playing their roles - especially: Choi Min Sung, Park Joo Hyung, & Choi Dae Cheol -

The music was EXCELLENT! I loved every song - my favorite was "Meaning of You" by IU - followed by: "Yolo Man" by Jung Dong Ha, "Because of You" by SPICA, & "It Hurts, It Hurts" by Lim Jeong Hee, other songs that were good but not my favorites: "Mirage" by Changmin & "?" by MIII

I would definitely re-watch this drama & I do recommend it for marathoning ^-^

If you can handle watching a very long drama of 134 episodes (1hour long each) then I'd highly recommend this drama. It's a long drama but it never drags or prolongs things. It moves from one situation to another and the flow is very good and well paced. It took me over 2 weeks of straight marathoning it to complete it.

The drama is about the life of Dae Jo Yeong and his quest to recapture the old Goguryeo and create an empire that embraces all people from all origins (Baekjae, Goguryeo, Khitan, Silla, Mohe, Turks ectra...). It's about the founding of the Kingdom of Balhae. And all the heroes that were involved in its rising: Dae Jungsang, Dae Jo Yeong, Gulsabiwu and countless others. This drama does not lay heavily on facts (just take a look at Wikipedia and you'll know lol) - many of the characters life, death and even existence is quite fictional - but it made for a great story. One, the two main females don't even exist in reality :P Some sites say that the two rivals in this drama, Jo Yeong & Kaigu (Hae Gu) vie for the love of the two leading women - but that's simply not true. There will be two romances for Jo Yeong (one that never should have been and one that was always right) but as for the other guy, he only looked at one woman.

Cast/Characters: My all time favorite character was played by Choi Chul Ho as Gulsabiwu (one of Jo Yeong's sworn brothers). I adored him so much, out of all the characters in this drama I would marry him ^_^ His character was very loyal and faithful - a true friend/brother. He had an unending passion and determination to not let the enemy defeat him and when teamed up with Jo Yeong and Sudol he was unstoppable ^^ (I'm also a fan of this actor and I love it when I get to see him as a good guy so my heart can freely go "gaga" over him lol).
Dae Jo Yeong played by Choi Soo Jong - he is the reason I decided to watch this drama, I've been a fan of CSJ since I first watched him in 'Into the Flames' (his latest drama and I started backtracking all his dramas since then). I always like him in leader type roles as he plays them exceptionally well (Dae Jo Yeong, The Great Kings Dream, Into the Flames, Comrades, President, and more...). I always admire his characters and would follow his leadership without a doubt. His character in this drama was exactly like that: one you can trust and depend upon. His character is full of love and passion for his people. He pursued his dream of recapturing the old Goguryeo not for his own selfish desires but b/c it was not only his dream but his peoples dream. He once quoted: "One man's dream may end a dream, but a dream that we dream together always comes true." He was a man full of love, honor, and selflessness.
Kaigu played by Jeong Bo Seok was a man full of envy, hatred, greed and a thirst for revenge. His "dream" was out of selfish motivation. He only loved one woman but b/c of that also spurred him to hate Jo Yeong even more, as he felt what was his was taken. I kind of got tired of his "I'm angry" face as it felt extremely forced and uncomfortable.
Suk Yeong played by Hong Soo Hyun was the girl I liked in this drama and the one who I believed was always right for our lead character. She had a selfless heart, full of love and compassion just like our lead. They were very well matched. And I wish our lead had only had eyes for her for the entire drama but whatever... lol. She reminded me of Seo Ji Hye's character from 'Kim Soo Ro' b/c of her love that went unnoticed for awhile b/c his eyes were directed elsewhere - but eventually they look to the right one.
Chulin played by Park Ye Jin, I did not like her at all. I wish she would have stayed where she belonged b/c it was a love that I personally believed was very wrong - you cannot be lovers with someone that you are helping to destroy. Opposite sides cannot be together, it can only end badly and you could even make things worse. I couldn't believe that our lead guy didn't realize that. She would have been a decent character on her own but b/c the writers made her this way made me unable to ever like her.
Geom played by Jung Tae Woo (an actor I've started to really like since I first saw him in 'Comrades') comes on in the latter part of the drama (I think around the 80ish episodes) was a great addition to the casting, I really liked his character, even though you end up feeling so bad for him b/c of how torn he is and you can literally see it eating him up. But your heart will surly move for him. A great actor who really deserves lead roles! He always seems to be stuck doing "Supporting or guest roles" and I think that is just not fair to this actor who is so talented (I mean unless it's his choice but I don't think that's so).
And there were tons of other characters that shined but I obviously can't describe them all lol but I'll list there names: Mimosa, Geumlan, Dae Jungsang, Keum Mo Jang, Dae Dan, Yang Man Chun, & King Bojang. Heuk Sudol was a great friend but I wasn't too keen on him b/c outside of his friendship he was kind of a numbskull and drank too much and when he bickered or raised his voice I got annoyed. But I enjoyed the bromance between him and Gulsabiwu & Jo Yeong.

Music: Throughout the entire drama it's just instrumental music. The lyric songs came on during the credits (but who sits and watches those unless it's airing?) so the first time an actual song played was in episode 128 (the ending) by Park Hyo Shin (and you'll cry). And then a little later another song is played a couple of times but more as background music. Songs: Park Hyo Shin 'Ae Sang/Sorrow' (it was played in a very appropriate scene). L. Woo & Sung Ho 'Before the Break Up' (I actually don't remember where this was played in the drama) and Joo Byung Sun 'Mothers Land'.

Also you may have to bear with the first 7 episodes as it's all about the older cast - I was quite bored during those episodes b/c they didn't have anyone I wanted to look at lol - the main cast doesn't appear until episode 8. Also if your like me you might hate the first romance. I almost dropped this drama during the span of episodes 40-50. After that I had no desire to drop it though - so if you reach that point just press through (skip watch if you must) and it will get much better ^_^ I personally skipped most scenes about the Empress of Tang and Xui Rengui (since it was things I pretty much already knew about anyways).

I enjoyed watching this drama weekly - no it doesn't have the strongest plot and the story is weak but I liked the realistic approach to love that this drama told by the quotes at the beginning and end of every episode. It showed how peoples different perspectives on life, love and relationships can cause misunderstandings, hurt, anger, acceptance and can change a person's view on things by listening to the others perspective on it. - I didn't get myself all involved in the supposed "gangster" doctor factor - as that (even if it's in the description) wasn't the main focus of this drama, it's simply the past and hurting side of our main lead girl's character. The description also says how she "changes when she meets Ji Hong" - so it's obvious we wouldn't see that side of her all the time. (I mean face it - one can't go around beating up people every single day of their lives now can they? Not when they are a doctor anyway). :P

A lot of people seemed to be put off by the "teacher/student" thing but I seriously don't see the big deal with it. It's not like anything inappropriate ever happened when they were "teacher & student". They hung out more often then a "teacher/student" generally would (if it were under NORMAL circumstances) but this drama wasn't a "normal situation" drama - the teacher LIVED at her grandma's place! So Obviously they would grow closer and spend more time together - but even then NOTHING inappropriate happened EVER. (of course there were underlying feelings, but none "displayed" until one incident happens and then ... they meet again). Plus I thought KRW and PSH had really good chemistry <3

Story: A girl who comes from heartache has built a wall around her heart and acts out - she then meets her teacher/mentor who leads her to a different way of life. They all meet as doctors again later and we see several different patients come in and get treated. (I actually liked the patients stories more than the "doctoring" part lol) - It's a medical drama but I think it was a slightly more loosely based one where they didn't necessarily go that deep into the medical aspects of it all (so actual doctors might find it a tad unrealistic) but if you ignore that and just watch it for what it is - basically a love story - then you might enjoy it like I did.

Now I however do Not think this drama should have lasted for 20 episodes - it would have been much better at 16 (or even just 18) - 20 was too much so I can understand people who think it's boring or they say they have lost "interest" it's not one of those dramas where you will be sitting on the edge of your seat or where your mind will be at work the entire time - No. It' just a drama to sit down and watch in relaxation. - At least that's how it was for me. -

Cast: My favorite characters are Ji Hong played by Kim Rae Won <3 (perfect kind of guy in my eyes) ^^ Pi Yeong Gook played by Baek Sung Hyun ^_^ (my side romance LOVE) and Seo Woo played by Lee Sung Kyung (the second lead girl that many loved to hate but I loved to understand and like & I totally shipped her with Yeong Gook <3 ). So to get nitty gritty here... Ji Hong is a very playful and fun loving teacher/doctor who is almost always smiling and being cute (and KRW fits this role so well!), You'd have a hard time not falling for this witty and charming man ;) Pi Yeong Gook is the sweet and kind best buddy a girl could ever wish to have that also secretly likes his friend. ^_^ I adored him and so wish he had more screen time!!! Seo Woo was a misunderstood girl who acted bitter and mean on the outside but who was really wounded on the inside - all she needed was some tender loving care people! I liked her and like PYG I wish she had more screen time!!! (they could have shared the screen time between PSH & KRW with PYG & SW! It would have been better too I think if they did that. I didn't like the second lead guy played by Yoon Kyun Sang at all until half way through when my opinion changed a little b/c he wasn't so clingy and mean like he was earlier. I LOVED his uncle though <3 Gosh that man was adorable! ^_^

Most memorable and enjoyable guest appearances: Ji Soo, Lee Sang Yeob, Nam Goong Min, & Han Hye Jin. Their stories were all really good as were their performances <3 (a lot of people were complaining about not seeing Ji Soo all the time - but his role was just a "guest" role it wasn't a supporting role. I do wish they would have a shown a little more after he was in the hospital but... I enjoyed his time that he was on here.)

Music: I liked it. and they fit well with the drama's atmosphere.

Re-watch value??? humm... Idk, I might b/c of Kim Rae Won and Baek Sung Hyun - but it might be a skip watcher lol

I'm giving it a rating of 8 simply b/c I did enjoy it - but it wasn't the best drama by far and it shouldn't have had so many episodes (especially when BM was cut and this wasn't... but... anyways that is again just my opinion.)

I really enjoyed this drama (although the first 4 episodes were iffy for me - but they were necessary to see the character development) -
Story: 3 brothers who don't know they are brothers b/c they were separated a long time ago meet again by fate and go through countless things before finding out they are all related - is the basis of this plot-line.
Cast: Kim Jaejoong as Yeong Dal/Dong Cheol - the main of the main cast basically lol - he was my favorite character and the reason I started this drama - his character development was the biggest and most impactful during this drama - I loved his story and all the things he got intertwined with along the way - plus his romance was really sweet and nice to see. Lee Bum Soo as Dong Soo - a detective with a temper - through a turn of events finds certain things out and seeks revenge with the help of Yeong Dal. Siwan as Yang Ha - the little jerk of the show basically - raised by a dirty rich guy with no feelings - you could say he has some psychological issues....Jung Hee the girl Yeong Dal loves and the girl that Yang Ha wants - who does she like and how the love story begins - you'll have to see for yourself - I loved her faithful character :) Shin Hye - probably the smartest out of everyone on this drama - she had a habit of figuring things out before others did.
Music: Extraordinary - I loved it to pieces especially Kim Jaejoong's 2 OST songs (I play them all the time)
Re-watch Value: 10/10 I will most definitely re-watch this drama again - I loved it as much as I loved East of Eden <3
Fav. Quotes at the end: "Death is waiting at the end of greed." "If you want to escape life's darkest tunnel, try to love somebody, because great fortune may be awaiting for you." - Yeong Dal/Dong Cheol.

Wow, what a story!!! First off let me say that this drama was my 200th completed drama and I am proud to say it ;D
Story: It starts off in 1943 with the younger cast, shows the background of how things began - the friendship that was shown in the beginning was so good and it continues throughout the entire show to the end where it's 1973 - lot's of bromance with a little romance thrown in - but the basis of this story was about a Steel Manufacturing Plant being built (which I believe is supposed to represent POSCO).
Cast: Park Tae Hyung the real star of the show - I loved his character, he was loyal, trustworthy and smart - he could win anyone over and it was shown in how he got his team. I loved the entire cast - whether good or bad they played their roles exceptionally well. I found out while watching this drama that this was actually Lee Ki Chan (Ahn Seung Joo) (ballad singer)'s official acting debut - let me say - for this being his acting debut he acted like a PRO - no joke - he never looked awkward.
Music: I loved it - every song - but the main one I remember is by Lee Ki Chan ;)
Re-watch Value: 10 - I would love to re-watch this drama with subs - it's great without but I would love to understand some of the dialog that went on ;)
Have you ever watched a drama where by the end you were shedding tears of happiness? well this drama did that to me - they showed flashbacks of the show and some of the real events captured on old film and I was sitting here smiling with tears rolling down my face fast lol
It's a great drama - I'd highly recommend people to watch it!!!!
