Still Chugging Away... slowly

This show gives me mood swings. How can I love it so much one minute, and hate it the next. The frightening thing, no matter which mood it puts me in, it's so well-written that I can't stop! Who knows how this will all end. I've given up thinking I can predict the next move.

I admit, I kind of like watching the mothers (more than any other character) grow and change. Even if they annoy me more often than not.

Cheesiest Wink Ever!

What's up with these Kdrama females? One minute so cool and confidant, the next - running bow legged and hunchbacked with a broken printer, because obviously the best thing to do is hide the evidence...

"In Manhattan, it's unimaginable that you go to school without a car."

*smirks*

2 Steps Forward, 10 Steps Back

A lame halting of our before sizzling romance... All isn't actually lost in this plot-device ridden episode, but at no point was it fun to watch.

Quote: "In front of everyone she pretends to be honorable, but she's a b**** inside."

I think this sums up my feelings on this episode.

Game Over? Oh I think not!

YES! Progress! Who cares that the coach is away in stupid Boston.. ehh, we'll deal with that later. I'm actually kind of sad for Natsuki, though she may still have something up her sleeves...

Quote: "You won't give me a birthday present then? I'd like to hear the tap-tap sound of your basketball once more" Awwww

Hugs for all!

Sad, cute, heartbreaking, and more cute! Riko takes pictures of Kamiya sleeping, and plays violin over the phone. Seeing Yamapi being sad is a dagger to the heart. Good thing we have Riko! And her methods of cheering up sad cute boys. :)

Favorite quote: -"Were you taking pictures?" -"Eh? No! Uhm.. A butterfly! It was a butterfly! One I'd never seen before!"

No basketball games; Instead - French toast. XD

Ahah, so the plot thickens, the feelings deepen. Lots of shirtless guys... some cute scenes, minor development.. sort of bland all around, but I guess it's necessary.

Favorite quote: "Did I explode my illusion alone again?"

- Said by main girl's friend, after fantasizing about a perfect posse of good-looking men.

Gorgeous, Slice-of-life First Episode.

I'm loving the feel of this drama so far. Lei Lei is sophisticated, beautiful, and a tiny bit fragile, and Tony Yang is HOT-I mean, he seems to be everything she needs. Too bad they didn't get to have much interaction this episode.

Only downfall- the second lead ex-boyfriend was given a painfully long time to confess he's going to marry another girl. And yes, that girl is a quite run-of-the-mill character.

Love the bird following Lei Lei around (it's very In Time With You with that gorilla thing- same producers though, so it makes sense)

Intriguing enough start..

But I'm having a real hard time not comparing it to Bridal Mask (even if it predates it). Must every future freedom fighter be obsessed with swing music and womanizing, dancing the Charleston between accidentally getting messed up in serious business? At least the main girl seems like she has some backbone, when she's not be scandalized about sex and other scary stuff..

Lee Sun Gyun makes his entrance

This ep is equal parts boring and super cute. Ji Hyun Woo is just precious, but I'm not sure I really like Choi Kang Hee or her role yet. There's something about the old maid type character who tries so hard to act young that is off-putting at times.

On the the hand, Lee Sun Gyun shows up finally! And seems, rather normal.. do I like? Should I like?

"The most normal life is the happiest life. But it's also hard to live a normal life."

Sung Joon-ah!! Don't cry!

Ohhh these creatures. They break my heart. But why is it I can't hate any of them? Even the second guy in our main love triangle is fully fleshed out and totally lovable. He's even practical, and keeps a trash bag in his car for drunk females to throw up in.

Also: Dong Bi finally gets her say! "Lets just stop talking about this. You're the lead character, and I'm just your supporting actress. The world revolves around you and you only care about your problem."

Halfway Mark, Here we come!

Why must they all cry so realistically? I want to see more of Dong Bi's character. She is an untapped wellspring in this show. I also want to see less mother/mother-in-law showdowns. Actually, I want a lot of things. Mostly, to not be traumatized by the time this show ends.

And judging by the last minute of this episode: are they really going to do what I think they're going to do?!? *face to desk*

Uhmm, but I still love this show. Can't you tell? :D

A Brilliant First Episode

I can't believe I'm just now getting around to watching this! The cast is perfect, the antics are over the top, yet ridiculously hilarious. I expected a very dated drama, and instead a find a fresh and funny show that had me grinning from ear to ear. I can't think if many dramas that earned a perfect 10 from me for the first episode.

Here's to hoping this is just amazing as I've always heard!

Anti-dramaland

I can't decide if I love this because its so different from just abut every Kdrama ever, or if I hate it. I'm gonna go with like. I still have no idea what is going to happen from one moment to the next, but I've never seen a cast of characters as complex and fundamentally human as these are.

"I want you to be a drama guy, not a movie guy!"

Yes, sweetie, don't we all? Don't we all...

Hotel or Church?

Note: To all you unmarried girls. Getting married really doesn't have to be this hard! Just don't be a spoiled brat, and pick your in-laws wisely. ;)

That said, I'm liking Hye Yoon's mom more and more. She actually seems to have some depth of character that you rarely get to see a Kdrama mom.

Quote: -"I thought you'd live a happy life with the daughter of a famous law firm." - "I thought I could use her for my ambition, but I was eventually controlled by her."

Well, at least someone figured this out before it was too late.

Of Proposals, Break-ups, and Tire-slashing!

Not sure yet if I'm setting myself up for fun and antics, or just pure torture. This definitely isn't dramathon-worthy, but maybe in small doses it'll work? I kind of like how candid this show is so far. Despite the premise of marriage-obsessed females, their lovers/douchebags of choice, and all the prospective in-laws, this episode was a lot less obnoxious that it could have been. So far, none of the female leads have overly annoyed me, and of course Sung Joon is just perfect.
