Dark, psychological thrillers, school setting, taboos, twists, manipulation, societal issues, unclear motives, violence... like misbehavior could have been a girl from nowhere episode in a different universe if youd flip the genders.

Both are lgbtq+ movies that feel sincere. One character does sex work, one character is closeted, one characters meets an unfortunate fate... the relationship feels alittle push and pull in both (in egoist in the beginning at least).

Both movies were written and directed by the same person, besides that on the surface they dont look like they have much in common. However, both movies discuss themes of love, both have sad elements and in both theres an age gap between the characters.
