This is a remake of the original hit Taiwanese movie. The Korean film has a university setting, whereas the original was set in high school, but the plot is similar other than that, with minor changes and tweaks.

Both dramas feature the slice of life genre with a warm, rich cast where even the ensemble roles are lovingly developed. Both feature romance, especially romance between reunited childhood friends.
