At the bank of Daedong River, brightly lit by the moon, Lee Su Il and Shim Sun Ae sit in silence gazing at the moonlight. After promising to love each other until death do them apart, Sun Ae has suddenly decided to marry the son of the richest man in town, Kim Jung Bae. Su Il vows to do everything in his power to make money and gets hired by a credit shark. Meanwhile, Sun Ae falls deadly ill, unable to erase Su Il from her mind.
