The only reason this movie gets 8 out of 10 from me is that, in the end, you just need more. The story had a feel of a Japanese manga high school movie with a touch of those back to the old good days movies. Unlike other young love Chinese movies I have watched that were like bad teen TV movies, this one was really good. The story is touching and it focuses less on developing a cliché love story and more on having the audience get to know the characters. Truelly, the only thing that this film got wrong was the ending. Even though everyone's' story was concluded, the main one was left open wide, and you just need a good conclusion on the love story.

Well, the first time when i watched this one i feel the "Our Times" vibe which is great for me.

even thought the ending wasn't what i was expected the movie is quite memorable i'm smiling all over this one.

at some part i feel quite emotional bc they play it really well, OH and i think Gao Xiao is kinda cute and gentle too that made me fall for that guy

i would totally recommended this movie.for everyone who loves "Our Times" and highschool themed movies.

This is yet another Chinese movie that made me cry my eyes out.

The story is about a perfect student who is top in her class, and she meets a boy who is the complete opposite of her. As he pulls her into his life, she learns unexpected things about him, and he even opens up her eyes and heart to a whole new understanding of the world.

It is a powerful story that highlights the importance of living in the moment, doing what you want to do, and cherishing those around you. Your future is not set in stone, and sometimes you need to take a few risks.

Although the story was very good, it was a bit fast paced and I wish I had seen more of the other characters, like Li Hongyi. Once again, Bai Jingting does not disappoint, he is a very good actor. Overall, the movie was great and it sent a wonderful and powerful message to the audience.

I am not one for high school movies/dramas because a majority are generic cliches with exaggerated characters and plots. They never felt like what high school was for me. This movie managed to capture it quiet well! I enjoyed the characters with the various relatable issues such as family problems and the serious pressure of academics. The characters were touching in a sense as they were juggling with whether to pursue their dreams versus the reality the world presents which is that dreams are nice but will not give your success in a career and money to take care of yourself. I liked the way the ended it as well. Overall, a nice feel good movie.

a little nostalgic

I have a habit of watching coming of age/nostalgic youth films before going to bed and this was recommended to me since I've watched many other similar films. First off, the plotline is pretty typical, the main girl is uptight and studious while the main guy is rebellious and carefree. The chemistry between the two characters is like innocent, wholesome first love/friendship. It's not really pure romance, but it's definitely more than just friends. Their relationship is pretty subtle and this concept continues all the way even until the very end of the film. The acting was pretty good, it's not super memorable just because the storyline isn't super emotional or deep. The storyline is also your classic, FL and ML turn from frenemies to people who realize last minute how much they've impacted eachothers' lives, only to realize it's too late. The open-endedness of the relationship between the two in the ending is kinda unfulfilling because everyone else got a very clear and straight forward ending while the two aren't seen together at all. Because of the lowkey cliche plotline that was easy to predict and the unsatisfying ending, I'll give this drama a 7.5/10 stars. However, I encourage those who are considering watching this film to give it a try :)

A very pg 13 movie, it's an romance movie that is nothing new. It's a good watch but not really great. TBH I probably won't remember it next week the reason I give it a 8 is because I think it has a target audience that it is probably a really good movie too I'm just not that audience. It's defiantly for pre teen\teen girls I'm just a teenage boy so yeah.
