Both have the gaming aspect of it (while one is robots and the other is online gaming). Both of the relationships develop around the gaming world. Both the male leads are "nice" and don't sway once their heart is set on the woman they love. For both the male leads this is their first experience with love.

Both of these dramas feature gaming and e-sports competitions. Gank Your Heart is also a romance. The leads in both of these shows encourage each other to work towards achieving their dreams.

It is all about gaming, teams, competitions, and developing a love story within this setting. Go Go Squid 2 is about robots instead of online games.

Great storylines with lots of team interactions. The minor difference is one focuses on esports while the other focuses on robotics.

This is like the drama concerning Tong Nian and Han Shuangye who is the older brother of Wu Bai. This drama is like a main version of the whole story. Dt.Appledog’s Time is like a branch story concerning Wu bai and Appledog. Go go squid is mainly concerning Tong Nian and Han Shuangye. How they meet, what they go through, and how everything goes on.

Both are rom-com and the protagonist meet during a game. They are based on a older woman and an immature younger man genre. The plot line of them meeting through a game is similar. Both the dramas have a lot of kiss scenes and it reflects on the mental dilemma the older female lead goes through and the younger male leads determination to sped the rest of his life with her.
I think both are equally cute and fluffy.

In both: the male leads fall in love with the female leads first, at a young age. The two couples have an age difference, female leads being older. The male leads remained in love even when female leads were in another relationship (unrequited love). The female leads focus on their career and male leads support them. The professional nicknames of male leads (DT in Go Go Squid 2 and Heisha in Sweet Games) were inspired by the female leads without female leads knowing. The families in both stories support the protagonist couples. Friendships and teams come together equally with the goal of bringing victory to the team (in Go Go Squid 2) and the company (Sweet Games).

Overall themes are different but romance vibe, chemistry and relationship between ML/FL are similar:

*age gap (older woman)
*ML was in love/adored her for 10 years,
*ML adores her so much and actor plays that so good, he looks at her with such eyes... chemistry is so strong (mostly because of ML and his facial expressions)
*FL is linked to big/emotional moment for ML when he was child/teen, after that she becomes his kind of idol and purpose, after that for long time (10 years) he wants and dreams to meet her and be with her, be equal with her.
*FL is really strong woman, independent, successful, quite individual (not standard strong FL)
*ML is young but quite mature, serious, priced and loved from people around him.
*though FL is strong woman, who doesn't much need to be protected by men, and ML is younger he anyway wants to protect her all the time, his biggest purpose is her wellbeing.
*for long time ML hides from FL how big was his crush for so long time, that h was thinking about her all the time for 10 years.

Both have a male lead who chases after the female lead even thought he is a few years younger than her.
Female leads are cutesy girls that slay with both beauty and skills.

Both of them are with Hu Yitian as the lead, their plots are about sports, though different ones, and there's romance.

*Go Go Squid 2 is not exactly a sequel to Go Go Squid 1 (which I love and I think is way better), the story is with the same characters, but a lot is different, so you do not need to watch the first one to understand the second (in fact, if you have watched the first, and loved it, do not watch the second). BUT if you have not seen GGS1 yet, and you are looking for a fluffy, cute romance with sports themes, GGS2 is a good option.

Through his hard work and talent, Wu Bai has become the youngest star player in the national robot wars competition. He forms a team and enters the final round of the competition, sharing the stage with Ai Qing - the person who has introduced him to his passion. Both are determined to promote the popularization and application of technological robots with the younger generation group through the robot competition, hoping to accelerate the country's rejuvenation of science and technology.

As competitors, Wu Bai's persistent and extraordinary talent draws in Ai Qing's attention, while Ai Qing's passion for her job, persistence in chasing her dreams, and outstanding tactics earned Wu Bai's respect. The two of them support each other through the competition and lead their respective teams to victory.

Both are dramas with an ensemble cast of young characters with similar dynamics between ML and FL:
- MLs fall in love with the female lead at a young age and love her secretly for many years
- MLs need to leave unexpectedly for an extended period of time for reasons beyond their control and return with plans to start romantic relationships with the FL
- MLs are both not talkative but know how to say the right thing and take care of business
- FLs have different personalities but both are mature and very supportive of their friends and family while pursuing their dreams

The plot is different but same FL in both dramas.

Fate is more about cohabitation, arranged marriage and evil stepmom vibe while Go Go Squid is centred around gaming. I enjoyed Fate, it started off amazing but the ending was kinda okayish. So i definitely recommend u watch both. :)
