Not a gem but A VERY GOOD WATCH.
The year 2020 has been full of surprises for the kdrama watchers. My dangerous wife will be one of those underrated dramas that many people won't watch because they are not that familiar with the cast.I would not actually recommend many people to watch them.. Only the matured ones and who love a journey with ups and downs and many twists.I absolutely loved the cast..their acting was top notch.The story was too good but somehow it feels quite repeatitive after a few episodes..But I love the fact that it's not really predictable.I mean "expect the unexpected" then you may find it predictable..so many twists and turns.The thing that upsets me that I could not actually see the reasons behind their actions until 12episodes maybe.The osts were pretty good.I won't rewatch it because I already know the twists..lol.
If you are thinking whether you should watch it or not..I think you should give it a try.

Wonderfully Crafted Drama Thriller
This drama reminded me of an old Alfred Hitchcock film, "Rebecca", a romantic psychological thriller. The female protagonists of Rebecca and My Dangerous Wife were seemingly naive, quietly reserve, devoted wives who turned out to be women with spines of steel, willing to go to great lengths to fight for their men, their marriage and their rightful place as the queen of their home. They did not let anyone or anything to stand on their way to achieving their goal. They did not allow themselves to be the victim of what would have turned out as an unfortunate, sad fate had they not done anything about it.Yoon Chul and Jae Kyung's marriage appeared to be a loving relationship that's the envy of their neighbour and their staff. Beneath the surface, their marriage was toxic. YC could not stand his wife and is allergic to her touch. JK was the typical Stefford wife who dutifully laid out his clothes in the morning and prepared porridge for breakfast, blissfully unaware that her husband hated porridge and was barely tolerating her. He married for her money and cheated on her with his restaurant manager.
The surprise of this drama was how JK turned the tide against her husband when she staged her own kidnapping followed by a series of well planned events that she orchestrated herself. Behind her submissive facade was a wily, devious mind who brilliantly executed her plan into action. JK, in the earlier episodes impressed me as someone who loved and was emotionally dependent on her husband, willing to fight to gain back his love for her. To my surprise, JK had her own selfish agenda. She actually married him because she needed a husband to get her insurance money worth millions of pounds. I will not go into the details but suffice it to say, this was delicious revenge drama of a wife scorned who found a way to get her pound of flesh.

Twisty!
This suspense thriller/mystery kept me on my toes almost all the way through, only faltering a bit with the ending. While not quite perfect, it was still a fun watch, and I'm glad I chose it. (I'd even watch the Japanese show it was based on if I can find it!) And though it got a little repetitive in a few places, I don't think it was enough to become boring. It wasn't predictable by any means, and they didn't miss a beat in keeping the suspense and drama rolling. I think my chief complaint for the story is the backstory/ motivations for the characters. If that had been a little clearer, I'd have rated it higher.The cast did a superb job, even though I'm not super familiar with most of them. And the music was pretty good - definitely fit the mood of the show.
While not really suitable for a re-watch because of the genre, it was still a worthwhile watch and a solid choice!

Good to Watch
I started watched this drama, because I need some thriller drama. And i found this one is interesting. I finished in 4 days. The ending is so unexpected. The cast are good. But, if you don't like a drama with some affairs , so don't watch it. This affair is different than other affair. I like the wife very much, she's smart and brave. She can expect every in details. And this drama makes you curious in every episode. I was not too excited for the 1st to 2nd episode, but 3 up it's get more excited. Some episode makes me dizzy about the scene like they are repeat scene and situation. But, I still love this drama, and the ending was good.Was this review helpful to you?
Absurd but entertaining
I was looking for a Makjang/thriller to watch and got just that in this drama. The story was absurd but surprisingly entertaining. At somePoint I wanted to stop watching but really needed to see how it ended. Although the women in this drama were a little over the top, I liked how intelligent and resourceful they were at times. The men seemed to underestimate them constantly and it was nice they got to see what they were truly made of! I really enjoyed the music actually and now it flowed with the story, the scores were definitely done very well.

Fun but...
Well, the story is quite interesting but then you see the character commiting the same mistakes twice and is quite frustrating since you see the same consequences going again: so the story goes and backs. And that's why I didn't give it more stars.The acting is nice, specially from the male lead and the secondary characters.

A total blast
I liked this a lot. The plot is super twisty and exciting and every episode ends on a cliffhanger so it's highly bingeable. Some fun dark comedy too. The leads are great and play off each other well. There's some filler in the second half (there are some supporting characters in this that are not as interesting as the show thinks they are and I was a bit impatient to get back to our leads messing with each other) but I still had a lot of fun. I'm a fan of infidelity dramas generally and this one has a great take on the concept.Was this review helpful to you?

Gente que aventura incrível que foi essa série! A produção foi incrível! Os atores muito bem escolhidos. Não consigo imaginar ninguém fazendo o papel de marido melhor que o Choi Won-young! Essa série merece todos os aplausos! Desde o primeiro episódio estou elogiando essa série imensamente. "Se o primeiro episódio foi tão bom assim, como eles vão conseguir se superar e manter o interesse do telespectador ao longo da série?" Mas essa já era a resposta. Eles mostraram seu potencial logo no primeiro episódio e já nos desafiaram a embarcar nessa aventura. Estou muito satisfeita com o final. Superou minhas expectativas! E a OST foi incrível as músicas não saem da minha cabeça! Esse drama com certeza vai entrar pros meus favoritos! Se você está decidindo ainda entre assistir ou não, por favor se arrisque porque essa série vale a pena!

Super juiced with a ridiculous endless ride of never ending twists. It definitely started to feel overwhelming in the second half. At some point, I just wanted it to end already because there was nothing new or innovative about these twists anymore. I wish some characters had a bigger role in the story, like the detective's wife and the ex in-law detective.Was this review helpful to you?
this is God tier show. Period.
Many people think this show is Anti marriage, it's not.Also the plot was consistent, some may think it got repetitive but for 16 episode the pacing was good .
I seriously don't know why this show isn't famous, What the hell!! Probably because the cast are not very known and that's why people didn't give it a watch but they are missing a great watch .

Unprofessional review.
If you watched the movie called 'Gone Girl' then you will find some similarities in this. But you will only find the similarities till 3rd episode. After that its totally different. The only complaint I had in the movie was "it can't end like this", "something has to happen", "what's the climax here?" etc. But here I was fully satisfied with the story and the ending. And it has lots of fucking twists which didn't made sleep. I finished the whole series without sleeping. The OST was awesome. There was no dramatic cheating shit. There should be Comedy tag here. I enjoy it and I hope that you will enjoy it too.Recommended.
