watched it for the cutest xiaobao

i started unforgettable love without expecting anything and i can say it was worth the time! i had such great laughter and giggling moments. yes! it is a cliche story but still very heart-fluttering chemistry of qin and qiaoyan... halfway through it, I realized i am watching it for the xiaobao moments. You can just resist how cute and adorable this little kid is and it makes you want to continue watching it for his cuteness' sake...

Anyways it was a very endearing drama! Must recommend if you want to smile and finding some touches of laughter in life

Cutie pie family

Unforgettable Love was so great for me cuz I'm not a c-drama lover but this drama catch my heart. The drama actually tell me a lot about love. So far this is the best c-drama I've ever seen. This drama is about a contract relationship between a Ceo and a psychiatry doctor. I think that's all I can say. I'm afraid if I'm too excited and start telling you too much spoiler hehe. If you still haven't watched this drama yet, I highly recommend this drama for you. No regret. Ohh yes almost forgot to say this. I think I would rate 9.5/10 for this drama. I hope there will be season 2 dear actors, writers and directors. Fighting!!!

Worth watching!!

I personally loved this drama so much. As a person who selectively watches Cdramas, the story was kinda new to me. But regardless i loved it.
Xiaobao is soo adorable and the other characters too. The acting and chemistry between leads were fine. The plot was okay and it tried to include psychological aspects. The Romance was cute and was developing. The side couples were also fun to watch. The only negatives i felt it had was the misunderstandings and unnecessary breakups. It would have also been better if they showed some more family scenes with Xiaobao and him talking more.
But overall I enjoyed watching it and would like everyone to give it a try.

Touching and memorable

This is a drama that touched my heart. Were there a lot of cliches? Yes. Were some scenarios predictable? Yes. So why did I like it so much? The characters! There are so many great characters in this drama that are so endearing and have great character growth. I know everyone talks about the male leads son (yes I know it’s really his orphaned nephew) and how adorable he is. And I loved watching him push the main leads together, he was very cute and funny. But I found the main leads best friends quite interesting too. The way the female leads best friend has her friends back no matter what and always has a sassy comeback to anyone challenging her just made me love her. And the male leads best friend has tremendous character growth which I just loved. I also loved the female leads parents and how supportive they were of her. I know most of these characters are very cliche and typical in this type of drama. But there was just something about them that drew me in.

Even though the storyline wasn’t unique with amnesia, a cold CEO with a past trauma, a warm hearted female lead that heals him, an opposing family member and a rival female that causes misunderstandings, I still found myself binge watching it. The pacing and flow are impeccable with just enough angst, romance, and intrigue. And it was just so well acted too! The characters were very likable and the angst was pretty balanced. It wasn’t full of so much angst that I wanted to scream and pull my hair out. But it wasn’t so light and fluffy that it was boring either. It was just right. There are misunderstandings but they don’t last overly long. It stays interesting with a kidnapping, some car chases, hidden pasts are revealed, memories are restored, and there are several cute couples.

If it’s a romcom then we HAVE to address the romance. I hate it when reviews barely touch on this when romance is the main focus of the drama. The main leads (and even the second couple) had great chemistry with passionate kisses. There’s princess carrying, back hugs, piggyback rides, and lots of very realistic kisses. The romance in this drama was done very well. It’s not super spicy and steamy but it’s not one of those shows with just a slight romance either. I’d say it’s right in the middle.

So why didn’t I rate it a perfect 10? I took off a point for the excessive amount of cliches in this drama. It wasn’t very original or unique. I also took off another point because the whole drama builds up towards the moment we all find out what really happened during the car accident that caused the male leads amnesia, then they let us down. He wrecks his car and wakes up to the female lead explaining everything that happened to him in the past. Then it’s over, there’s no confrontation with the villain, we never even see their faces. Those responsible for the tragedy are never seen or heard of throughout the drama. And their demise is never brought up either. The buildup throughout the drama was huge so I really felt let down. So why do I have a score of 8.5 when I took off 2 points? I had to give back half a point because of the great ending and how they gave us a lot of time with the leads as a couple. I despise those dramas where they get together at the last minute then it’s over. Thankfully this isn’t one of those dramas. Even though it’s a bit cliche it has a lot of memorable characters that will touch your heart.

I would definitely recommend this drama to anyone that likes a sweet romance, lovable side characters, an adorable kid that will steal your heart, low angst, and doesn’t mind a cliche storyline as long as it’s well acted. If you’re looking for lots of angst or something that will make you cry or something that is full of action and suspense then this is not the drama for you. It’s light, fluffy, and cute with just enough angst to make it interesting. It’s no masterpiece by any means but I found it quite endearing and was touched by it. I would definitely recommend watching it.

Mr Cupid's Arrow He

Really confused, after watching the Chinese drama "Once We Get Married" followed by the drama "Unforgettable Love". Ha ha ha …. Both about contract marriages. The main characters are also similar. Beautiful and cute female actress. Handsome male actor, and is told as a cold and arrogant CEO.

The difference is that in the Chinese drama "Unforgettable Love" there is Xiao Bao, a 5-year-old boy with acting and the most adorable face. It's really funny, even though the child actor Lennon Sun whose real name is Sun Si Cheng, according to the mydramalist.com site, is playing a role for the first time.

Compared to the Chinese drama "Once We Get Married", this drama is also more intentional. The setting is not only a mansion like a castle, but also the interior design, knick-knacks, and the soundtrack. Maybe many will think the song was specifically created for the drama "Unforgettable Love".

In terms of the series of scenes in the Chinese drama "Unforgettable Love" it is also more coherent. There are not many holes, and invites the audience to guess the end of the story. Who is the woman He Qiao Yan is looking for? Why is He Qiao Yan's aunt/aunt so mysterious? Was he honest, or was he the one who harmed He's brothers and sisters?

Maybe that's also why, the producer made a continuation of 1 episode entitled “Unforgettable Love: Extra Story”, so that the audience can release their longing. Too bad it wasn't as successful as the original drama. Some even commented: “scrubbed through, waste of time lol”

It's understandable. A reliable chef will carefully mix delicious dishes, both ingredients, seasonings and portions. When you ask for more, you will feel too much afterwards :D :D

Super fluffy, cute, feel-good!

I started this on a whim because I kept seeing ads for it on YouTube and heard AvenueX talk about it, and I just couldn't resist the cute kid lol. This drama is full of cliches and tropes, but was still super enjoyable, which led me to quickly binge it just within a few days! The plot is nothing super special, and most of the drama was definitely predictable, but it still had its own charm that made it super fun to watch. For the most parts, I found the main leads to be likeable and rational, and their love story unfolded nicely. Xiao Bao is truly the star though, I must say haha (highlights: him shooting his laser gun thing at his dad, him saying mom for the first time!, him in his wilderness exploring outfit where he matched with his dad, him drawing on his dad, literally all Xiao Bao moments). Every scene he was in, I was smiling like an idiot. I must say, I didn't really care for any of the supporting cast too much, but didn't mind watching them either lol. The ending felt a bit rushed to much (as with most Chinese dramas smh), but I didn't mind too much. The BTS of the drama is super fun and cute to watch, and you can tell everyone on set had a great time making it, which definitely shows. I've also had the OST on loop for this whole week while working and it's honestly so good, prob one of my fav all time OSTs! Too bad it isn't on Spotify :(

The same story as CEO's sudden proposal manhwa

I love it because it reflects one of of the comic I like very much. It is so good that they made this into a romcom show. Very light hearted that you can get through over the weekend binging on it. The best actor should be 'xiao bao'. He is so adorable and the director is able to pull off such great performance from a little kid. Kudos to the ML and FL who are able to compliment their acting beautifully with such a young kid. Being a sweet romcom, there are also some complicated plots which were all nicely executed. If you want something funny, to uplift your mood, this is the best antidote.

A short little fluffy ride

I think I need to stop starting these dramas with such high expectations. This is a perfect drama for just a turn your brain off, enjoy the cute little ride type of drama. But my problem was, is that I came in with high expectations and so I was kind of left disappointed. Honestly, I feel like a lot of this drama was non-sensical, especially the beginning, literally everything was done so quickly with very little sense just to set up the plot and everyone just chose to go along with it LOL. I also disliked the female lead sometimes, she was supposed to be smart enough to become a surgeon yet she was just so ditzy and clumsy. On the other hand, I loved Ruo Wei, she was absolutely gorgeous and I wish they delved more into her backstory and what exactly happened between her and her family. I also just realized that they kind of made the brother disappear. But anyways, I don't want to make this review too long. Overall, it was non-sensical, but the cuteness between the two main leads had me cheesing and giddy at times, and once I realized that this was just a little fluffy ride, I just entertained enough hence the 7/10 rating. Watch this if you have a couple days to marathon and want something easy to watch.

Are they trying to kill me with cuteness overloaded??!!

I watched this drama 90% because of the little kid. OMG!! the kiddo is such an adorable cutie!! The kid is adorable enough but did they really have to add kittie noises in the background??!! Are they trying to kill me with cuteness overloaded??!!
The drama is really good. The acting is great. The chemistry between the lead is also good.
Basically, the story is about a pretty psychiatrist and a handsome CEO trying to cure the psychological issue of the CEO's kid, while the kid luvs her and wants the psychiatrist to be his mom. So the kid and his dad join together for a "Let's make the pretty psychiatrist my wife" project. XD

if you need something cute and fluffy

I actually don't really like to watch dramas where one of the main leads have children because most of the time the storyline gets really messy. But this one was kinda cute, so I managed to watch the drama till the end.

The plot is about a rational and perfectionistic CEO and a soft and optimistic child psychologist. Our main lead has also a son (and omg I never saw such an adorable child, he alone made it so enjoyable to watch the drama) who doesn't talk and can't really socialize with other people. But shortly after meeting the female lead, he starts to like her and takes her in as his own mother.

The interactions between the leads were cute and hilarious, but I also found some of the disagreements really unnecessary and childish. Still, this is one of these dramas you can go an watch when you need something really fluffy.

The actors were enjoyable. This here wasn't some extraordinary drama were the characters would make your blood boil for example (evil side characters are a must have of course, but here they weren’t even that bad), so I'm pretty sure the actors are more diverse, but for this one I only can say that the acting seemed realistic and watchable. Thank god the female lead didn't try hard to be "cute" because I really can't stand it anymore when I see an adult acting like a child. To be honest, I really liked her, she always had a natural look on her face. The main lead also had something charming, definitely gonna watch more of him.

The soundtracks weren't something special, I can only remember the one at the beginning a little bit, that's it. But it suited the drama.

I can't say more to this drama, it wasn't something I could talk about for hours. It's just a fluffy drama in which we all know how it ends. Some side characters really got on my nerves, but the drama was still enjoyable. Not something I would be excited to watch, but more like something I would watch when I can't find another drama or when I'm bored. I can recommend this to the ones who love to watch cute rom-coms.

This drama starts off with a cliché, over-bearing CEO who is wooden and unemotional, finding how to interact with a quirky, happy-go-lucky child psychologist.

It’s the second time I’ve seen Wei Zhe Ming in this type of role and frankly, there was no difference from his stint as Zhang Si Nian in Perfect and Casual. He has the same robotic expression but fortunately for him (or rather his character), that he’s rich, handsome and powerful and that this can be easily overlooked.

Hu Yi Xuan is not too shabby as Qin Yi Yue, especially in the first half of the drama, where she had more spunk and personality when she goes against Qiao Yan’s dictatorial demands framed as requests. She flies by the seat of her pants when dealing with her personal life and makes decisions based on feelings.

The two are a match made in heaven as they counterbalance each other, but the catalyst between them is certainly the adorable munchkin Xiao Bao who seems to be unanimously voted by the viewers as the star of the show. For his debut drama, Lennon Sun is a natural as he delivers a performance rarely seen in kid actors, especially in those beginning episodes where he had no dialogue to speak of.

The rest of the cast try their best to work with the script as they guide their one-dimensional characters through development. Ruo Wei and Wen Gu act as sounding boards to the lead characters while navigating their own romance. Whereas a contract binds the leads together, a bet stands between the SML and SFL to see who falls for the other first. Another cliché where the strong-willed female manages to tame the spoiled-rich, playboy into submission.

Add in a calculating aunt (in the absence of an evil mother), a self-entitled childhood friend (in place of a clingy ex-girlfriend), or a brooding third male lead bearing unrequited love. Throw in an accident or two, and some tropey plot device like amnesia or disability, then you have your basic ingredients for a C-drama recipe. For added flourish, mix in a glimpse of a tragic past or some form of trauma. Also don’t forget the coincidence of all coincidences.

Surprisingly, I didn’t touch the fast forward button on this one, despite the few times where I almost gave in to that temptation. The first half was certainly stronger than the back half where the resolution seems rushed towards the end. Also, I found quite a few loopholes where the drama introduced some of the character’s backstory without it ever having fully explored or concluded. The show also tried to force a third pairing in the last two episodes where I see no rhyme or reason to do so. Some of the conflicts to me seemed unnecessary and weak.

Despite this lackluster review, “Unforgettable Love” is a decent watch and entertaining if you don’t take its faults too seriously. To its credit, the show also teaches you the importance of found family, as well as gathering the strength to move on from the past and how to live in the present.

Overrated drama with incredulous plot and poor character writing that worths dropping.

I started watching this drama because of Wei Zhe Ming, but couldn't find a single upside, thus i ended up dropping it.

***In terms of characters, both leads are and intolerable in their own ways and inconsistently written.

- ML is a thankless ungentlemanly insensitive robotic control freak who doesn't care about FL's happiness. I truly feel sorry for FL for getting entangled with him. I don't find it romantic when FL is forced to do something against her will and has her freedom to pursue her hobby, career, diet, lifestyle, and other things restricted or judged by ML. It feels as if she was imprisoned in ML's house, and he doesn't feel a shred of guilt or has no qualm watching her being unhappy. He doesn't even want to take care of her when she was crippled. Her entire career, reputation, and freedom was upended because of him. Yet this insensitive ignorant guy doesn't even notice, and only knew that because his friend told him. Once he knew, he doesn't even show concern over it. He doesn't care about her freedom and privacy. He doesn't know emotional support is needed for a child's development, and doesn't allow his kid to attend the school FL chose, which is very beneficial for the kid's growth, because of his stupid jealousy (which baffles the hell out of me because of the inconsistencies in his character. He's a calculating and rational person who would take into account the pros and cons of everything before taking action, now he suddenly turns dumb and doesn't even realize it). On top of it, he prevented FL from spending quality time with the kid. He doubts and criticises FL's decisions and professional opinions. He threw a wet blanket on every joy of life. I don't think this tyrant deserves FL right now. Really hope his nasty personality could improve later on, cuz right now i don't think there's any romance.

- As for FL, i decided to drop when FL started to act jealous and nosy. She's a psychologist who understands how emotions work and how to control them, yet she easily manifest her jealousy in such an obvious manner, without even trying to hide it. She started working for ML for professional reason, how could she easily forget it and mix her work with feelings? It made me feel like she became self-entitled and even clingy and immature after just a little bond time with ML, as opposed to her previous mature demeanours. Their relationship has not grown to the friendship level yet, and there's not enough trust or bond between them, yet the FL abruptly got jealous out of nowhere, thereby making the romance unnatural and forced, as a result of a rushed plot development and poor character writing. Feels like the playwright just skipped a few stages.

***Another thing that puts me off is FL's stiff and unnatural way of acting. I like her in the first few episodes because she seems to be a strong and independent female character, but then her expressions kept getting recycled, and she has that same grin for several different emotions, whether she's being embarrassed or happy or gentle or awkward or angry and whatnot. But for the clunky dialogues, i wouldn't know she fell in love, more like she's reciting lines instead of acting, cause i don't see any chemistry. So many thick-skinned, unrealistic, one-dimensional characters as well.

***Plot-wise, it's so tacky i cringe, especially with with the monologue and overhearing tropes. Idk what went on in the playwright's head, probably they ran out of ideas. Btw why turn this into a musical?? I don't mind tropes or clichés, but they need to be executed properly, which they weren't and turned out to be so cringey and tacky.

By and large, the drama started off pretty promising but then went downhill with all the corny scenes, cringey unnatural romance, and unrealistic behaviours stemming from jealousy, which i felt so uncomfortable watching. What a shame i have of drop this. *sigh*
